Good morning and welcome to this morning reset meditation.
I'm Steve Walker,
A life coach and meditation teacher.
Get yourself settled into a nice comfortable position.
You could be seated on a cushion or on the floor or in a comfortable chair or lying down on a bed.
Someplace comfortable.
And then if you feel okay with doing it,
Close your eyes gently.
Otherwise gaze off to a vague point on the other side of the room.
And now let's take a couple of slow deep cleansing breaths to ground ourselves in this moment.
Nice and slowly in through your nose.
Maybe hold the breath at the top for a second or two and then out slowly through your mouth.
Feel your lungs expanding and contracting,
Your stomach expanding and contracting.
Feel the movement of your shoulders,
Your rib cage,
Your back.
And now let your breath return to its normal rhythm.
Probably breathing in through your nose and out through your nose.
You may notice that the air coming in is a little bit cooler than the air going out.
Every morning is a chance for a reset.
It's a new opportunity for a fresh start.
It's even a chance to reinvent yourself,
Reimagine yourself.
Get deeper in touch with your authentic self.
Another chance to try to tame your inner critic.
It's a chance to choose your values that you want to focus on.
The energy that you want to bring into the world.
So think about what kind of energy do you want to bring into this day?
Is it loving energy?
Courageous energy?
Purposeful energy?
Some combination?
Imagine having that energy throughout your day.
How good it will feel.
Try to actually feel that energy right now.
Try to generate it.
And how good it will feel.
You may even want to visualize a moment that you anticipate happening today.
A meeting,
An encounter with somebody,
A conversation you're going to have.
And imagine you bringing that energy to that encounter,
To that moment.
And how good that will feel.
Now think about what values do you really want to have at the front of your mind,
Living with intention today?
Love,
Empathy,
Curiosity,
Courage,
Compassion.
What are the values that are near and dear to your heart?
That if you embody them,
You will be so proud at the end of the day when you look yourself in the mirror and see someone who lived with integrity,
Upholding those values throughout the day.
What are those values?
Again,
You may want to visualize a moment today when one or more of those values will be really important to live in alignment with.
To be intentional about having integrity with that value or those values.
Now think about if there's anything else that you want to be intentional about today.
It may be a relationship that you want to focus on,
A friend or a family member you want to reach out to,
Check in on,
Reconnect with.
It may be you want to reflect at some point today on your goals for this month or intentions for this month and how you're doing with them.
It may be that you want to make sure you move your body today,
Going for a walk or a run,
Going to the gym or taking a yoga class,
Or to be more intentional about what you're eating or getting enough water or going to bed at the time that you actually want to go to bed so you can get enough sleep.
What do you want to be intentional about today?
Now let's take a couple of deep cleansing breaths again and lock in these intentions,
This reset moment.
So take a nice deep breath in and feel the energy that you're trying to draw into this day.
The love,
The courage,
The purpose,
The purpose of this day.
Whatever it is,
Feel that energy coming in on every inhale and on every exhale,
Feel like you're letting go of everything that will not serve you today.
Thoughts about yesterday or the past,
Negative or toxic energy or people,
Let it go,
Release it.
If there needs to be forgiveness,
Forgiveness.
If there needs to be healing,
Healing.
But feel the toxicity,
Feel the negativity,
Feel that energy leaving you.
And then again,
Replacing it on the inhale with positive energy,
Filled with the energy that you want to live with and bring into the universe today.
Feel that energy move throughout your body,
Filling every nook and cranny,
And then feel it radiating from you.
How good does that feel?
How good will it feel throughout the day?
Let's take one more really deep,
Slow breath in through your nose,
Hold it at the top for a second or two,
And then out slowly through your mouth.

Healing energy,
Empowering energy throughout your day.
