Hey Wholeness,
This is Josh.
I hope you're enjoying this meditation morsel series.
Usually what I do is I sit,
And then if an insight occurs to me,
Then I try to record it right after sitting.
So that's why I seem a little bit extra relaxed and spaced out.
But this one's different.
Due to insight timers policies,
I had some kind of wind noise or whatever on this previous one.
So I'm actually just going to read it word for word of how it was,
And do a re-recording.
So it might sound a little bit weird because it's reading the script of what came out spontaneously previously.
Either way,
Hopefully these things are shedding some light and giving a boost to your practice.
This one's on trust.
Perhaps trust is a mixture of things.
Maybe we see someone,
Hear something,
And get inspired,
And then we try it out for ourselves.
There's maybe a conviction to do it,
To see that it's just possible for someone else,
Or we just have this feeling,
This kind of an intuition,
An inner knowing that,
You know,
Why not?
Why not trust this?
I don't see any reason not to.
And I'm just going to give this a go,
Not blindly,
But to someday verify it for myself,
And then reviewing it in retrospect.
Of course,
They say trust is earned.
So how do we earn our own trust?
We trust in our own competence.
We trust in training.
We trust in wisdom,
And those who demonstrate trustworthy qualities,
Teachings that lead towards trust,
And that support trust,
And knowing that sometimes things take time to develop,
And there can't be immediate trust.
There can be a willingness to develop trust and openness to how to go about it,
But also with in mind an eventual verification of that.
