Start by finding a posture that is upright and relaxed.
Feel how your sitting bones are touching the cushion.
And your legs are in contact with the ground.
Your eyes can be half open and directed towards the ground in front of you.
In this deep listening meditation,
We'll sit with a question that has no real answer in words.
The invitation is to let the question linger and experience the resonance.
Nothing you need to do but to allow the question to sink in and feel how it touches your system.
What would it feel like to listen to the whole of this present moment with the whole of my body?
What would it feel like to listen to the whole of this present moment with the whole of my body?
Becoming aware of the experience that arises.
To listen to the whole of this present moment with the whole of my body.
No need to do anything.
You can just listen.
Thoughts can come up.
Just don't get lost in thoughts.
Listening with the whole of my body.
You can also imagine that every cell of your body has a tiny ear in it.
Picking up all the frequencies.
If your mind is chaotic or noisy,
Include those thoughts and images in your listening practice.
If your body is restless or joyful,
Listen to it.
Listen to it with the curiosity of a parent looking at their newborn child.
Open,
Not knowing what will come up next.
To the whole of this present moment.
And if you get lost in thoughts,
You can bring yourself back to listening to the totality with every cell of your body.
And we'll sit here for a few more moments.
And when you hear the sound of the bell,
You can listen to the full length of it.
Allowing it to come and go all the way back into silence.
The bell is invited.
