An ideal meditation to start each teaching day. My thoughts are calm. My words are calm. My actions are calm. Feel the peace within and see it filling up your classroom. See the energy of peace flowing throughout your whole day. Come back to your peaceful connection that you established during this meditation easily whenever you need to throughout the day. Your awareness and focus on your breath will help you come back to your centre. To your natural state of calm.
Closing your eyes and taking your awareness to your breath without changing it just notice notice any thoughts or feelings that come up and notice them without judgment and then gently bring your awareness back to your breath if you notice any struggle or resistance that's totally okay just watch it be curious about it be a neutral observer and then gently bring your awareness back to the breath affirm to yourself that you're calm and peaceful and visualize yourself in this state as you go about your day to come see yourself at work interacting with your peers and affirm I am calm and I am peaceful see yourself interacting with your class and affirm I am calm and I am peaceful I am calm and I am peaceful take a moment to repeat this internally while visualizing and seeing how this will look in your day to come I am calm and I am peaceful feel and notice the calmness that you have generated within really notice it and connect with it and strengthen this connection I am calm and I am peaceful really anchor this connection of peace and calmness breathe in and breathe out now affirming to yourself that your thoughts are calm your words are calm and your actions are calm my thoughts are calm my words are calm my actions are calm feel the peace within and see it filling up your classroom see the energy of peace flowing throughout your whole day whenever you need to recharge and fill back up with peace bring your awareness back to your breath notice your thoughts and feelings without judgment be a neutral observer and when you're ready bring your awareness back to your breath without changing it just noticing it coming back to your peaceful connection your awareness and focus on your breath will help you come back to your center to your natural state of calm bringing your awareness back to your body wriggling your fingers and wriggling your toes just moving your body however it needs to be moved when you are ready opening your eyes feeling full of peace feeling ready to begin your day
Thank you! I am preparing to return to my 6th grade class, in 2 days! I’m already feeling the anxiety creeping in! This will be my go-to morning meditation!
