A Letter From God - Full Stream (Live Replay #30)
by Philip Wade
In 2018, whilst out with his dog Amber, Philip was looking across the open fields to the Spire of a Church. Reflecting on suffering and one friend in particular it came: "A Letter from God" with the opening lines emerging. Arriving home he sat down and typed. This track contains ambient sounds in the background. Meditation begins at 4:57 - note there's a separate track for the Meditation only. Philip also answers Spiritual Inquiry Questions from the IT Group: Nothing Special with Philip Wade.

So welcome everybody,
Philip Wade here from North Yorkshire,
England,
At the home of the Universal Studio.
Welcome to tonight's stream,
A meditative reading of something that I wrote four years ago,
Entitled a letter from God.
I'm going to do it as the form of a meditative reading.
So I will guide you into meditation.
And the invitation is to just rest in that with your eyes closed and deeply hear the insights offered in the reading itself.
And the piece is actually quite long.
So it's going to be quite a long meditation tonight.
But before I guide you into the meditation,
Just a little bit of background,
Really.
This piece,
As I say,
Was written in 2018.
And at the time,
I was actually helping a lot of people as normal,
But one person in particular,
Who had a very deep seeing and realisation of a friend of mine,
But was really,
Really struggling,
Because I kind of felt like she'd lost that and helping her quite a bit and the suffering was really quite considerable for her and helping to sort of guide her through that process.
And I remember being out this particular day with our golden retriever,
Amber,
And we're fortunate to live in a quiet English village and I was looking across the open fields.
And in the distance,
I could see the spire of a church and that church is called Christ the Consola.
So it's in the village.
And I remember reflecting that,
You know,
If people could truly understand the nature of the true self,
Self realisation,
Which is all my sharing is about here on Insight timer and in other places,
We needn't suffer and we didn't necessarily need the idea of this consolation because the realisation of the true nature of the self and the dissolution of the emotional body will bring the suffering to a close.
And this was in my consciousness as I stood there,
A beautiful,
I think it was a summer morning,
And suddenly in awareness,
The words,
A letter from God appeared.
And that's unusual for me,
As you know,
Though,
As you followed the streams,
Well,
No,
It's not a term I use a lot because it's easily misunderstood,
Because it can mean so many different things to so many different people.
And when I speak of it,
What I'm speaking of is infinite silence or the infinite awareness,
The realisation of the true essence.
But anyway,
This was the words that appear.
And then quickly after that,
The opening lines of what turned out to be this letter emerged.
And as I got back home that day,
Sat down at the computer and it just all came out.
And it was probably a little bit more than I said in the introduction to this,
Because it's a rather longer letter than I remembered.
But it was probably within half an hour.
It was done just in all in one go.
And there it was.
And it was suggested after I shared it at the time that I did a live reading,
Which I did on another platform at the time.
So this is the first time on Insight Timer that I've done this particular piece.
And it's quite an important piece.
It's very insightful,
Straight from the silence,
As I call it.
And it's entitled A Letter from God.
But the best way to do it,
I found,
Is to guide you into the infinite silence meditation.
And that way you'll be able to hear and experience more of it.
So if you're good to go,
Let's get ready and close our eyes.
And as you close your eyes,
Just simply,
Silently,
Noticing what's here now.
And just watching silently,
Without any judgment,
The sensations,
The thoughts,
Any emotions,
The breath,
Feelings,
Just completely accepting what's here now.
Without any judgment.
And as you silently watch,
Just be open from your heart to connect with the energy of the spheres.
And we'll just be silent now for a while.
Just connecting.
Not too long.
And as you open to this connection,
The energy of the spheres,
Or spheres of the light,
Just merging with that silent witnessing presence,
Simply,
Silently and non-judgmentally watches.
And even this witnessing presence,
The silent witness,
Itself now is dissolving,
Melting,
Becoming one with an ocean of infinite silence,
Completely dissolving,
In silence.
You will realise truth.
In truth,
You will realise you are silence,
Infinite silence.
Just resting in that space now,
Beyond time,
Beyond form,
Before being.
And let the insights in the letter merge with your being.
Dear friend,
It may have been a while in your time since we sat down and had a good heart to heart,
So we've set aside this special time today just for that.
Yes,
We agreed to do this millennia ago,
Even an eternity ago,
And now here we are.
It's been my observation for a long time now that you have been struggling at this gift called life.
For sure you've had some ups and downs,
As you like to put it.
Maybe some incredible highs and very deep lows,
But always in the background there's this fear.
Fear of life.
That's what calls me to write today.
You know,
In truth,
There is nothing to fear.
Nothing.
For life is eternal and you are it.
It's really that simple,
But right now it probably doesn't seem or feel that way to you.
So let me expand on this a bit and see where it takes us.
You may have heard that scientists have said,
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed,
And then go on to add,
Rather it can only be transformed from one form to another.
It's often referred to as the law of conservation of energy.
The scientists are right.
Frequently this law is only thought of in terms of physical phenomena.
Say you strike a match,
The chemical energy gets converted to heat energy,
Light energy and sound energy.
The energy has not been destroyed,
Just transformed.
The universe is energy.
Energy aware of itself.
That's what consciousness is.
That's what life is.
That's what you really are.
That means it is eternal.
That means you are eternal.
Let me say that again in case you missed it.
You are eternal.
You cannot be created or destroyed.
You can,
However,
Change form.
It has been said in spiritual texts that you were created in my likeness.
Again,
This is true.
However,
It has been much misunderstood.
Humanity has most often translated this into some image of me,
Say,
Typically a bearded man in the sky looking over you all and quite often judging you and allowing some into heaven with me and others to hell and various other unpleasant states.
None of this could be further from the truth.
In my image and likeness actually means you are also this eternal self aware energy.
This is my image and likeness.
I am eternal.
Formless.
Timeless.
Infinite.
Silence.
It is beauty beyond words,
For I am beyond words and so my friend are you.
It cannot be any other way.
All must be contained within me as me.
Nothing can be separate from me.
Nothing.
How would this be possible since that which I am is infinite?
That wouldn't make any sense,
Would it?
Yet you continue to believe in the myth,
In fear of me,
When I have only love for you.
Why would there be judgment if there is no separation?
It would mean I was judging myself.
An idea that is so ridiculous that it is simply untrue.
Since my very essence is infinite,
Every facet of my expression in you is automatically connected to every other facet.
There are no gaps.
No separation.
This form that you have,
You call it your body,
Isn't actually you.
It is like a projection from the infinite so that I can experience myself through you.
This is done in infinite variety.
Since my capacity is unlimited,
It's all done in an instantaneous moment of now.
All of it here now.
From the perspective of mind,
This feels impossible to grasp.
From the perspective of the infinite,
It makes perfect sense.
Your heart knows this already,
And this is a heart to heart after all.
Your cries of pain and anguish and moments of greatest joy are all heard,
Never missed.
Yet you are always at choice,
And this is also a universal law that can never be violated.
My invitation is for you to join me.
Not that we are separate.
It is a choice,
Yes.
Now given that you are created from the stuff of consciousness,
Energy,
You are at liberty to transform literally from within.
This transformation is one of awareness.
You may have spent all of your life in your body looking down at your feet,
So to speak,
When there is a whole universe awaiting to be realized.
Such is the magnitude of the gift of life.
I don't do things by halves.
I only deal in wholes.
Totalities.
Infinite to make it clear.
The I being used in this letter is always the infinite I.
So when the mystic poet Rumi said,
You are not a drop in the ocean,
But the entire ocean in a drop,
This was and remains a very beautiful description of you and me.
Yes.
All of me is poured into you.
Remember,
I only deal in totalities.
In that same moment,
All of me is poured into all.
The infinite is like that.
Unlimited in,
Well,
An unlimited way.
All in no time at all.
So where does this leave us?
Well,
It means there's only one of us here.
One of us.
Constantly transforming,
Shifting,
Flowing through life as life.
So there really is nothing to fear.
You have been part of this picture for all of eternity.
This form,
This body you have may transform,
But you in your highest truth will not be lost.
You are eternal.
All of your suffering comes from one case of mistaken I identity.
The small I that you have thought and believed that you are.
This body of yours,
Its story and its experiences,
You simply forgot the rest of you by focusing on one tiny element.
There's nothing wrong in this,
By the way.
There's no judgment about it.
There's no test here,
No exam to pass,
No one on the door of heaven.
There is no door.
It's all about where your attention is placed.
When it's focused on identity,
Which will capture as thoughts and beliefs obsessed with themselves,
Then suffering is inevitable.
For all these are temporary,
Transient,
Impermanent,
Not to be relied upon.
It's your trust in the impermanence,
Identification and attachment to it that causes the suffering.
For these impermanent things are like crutches to the ego.
They inevitably transform,
Change and leave ego floundering.
This is putting your trust in a fundamentally ineffective place.
Placing your trust in the permanent,
However,
Is the perfect solution.
The universal energy of consciousness.
Infinite silence.
Yes,
That is energy aware of itself as itself.
That's all that's necessary.
An apparent shift of focus.
That's really the essence of my invitation to you.
Instead of identifying with the impermanent,
Remember the permanent.
Instead of focusing on physical phenomena,
Focus on silence.
The simple fact that phenomena can be reported or described,
Like your senses report touch,
Hearing,
Sight and so on,
Means that all the phenomena are being observed from a higher and actually permanent awareness.
The silence itself.
Me,
In other words.
Even the sense of beingness,
The pure sense,
I am.
With nothing after the words,
I am,
Can be seen,
Witnessed and reported from this deeper essence.
So you must be the ultimate observer.
The silence itself.
It's the only thing that makes sense.
All I truly know is silence.
The rest is simply the play of consciousness and impermanent.
Only the silence is permanent and you,
My friend,
Are it and we are one.
How are we doing?
It's excellent that you have taken so much time to listen today.
Listen not only by being here,
But by opening to it with your heart.
The words on this page are only a tiny fraction of the communication going on here.
They are a vehicle which carry the vibration of silence with them.
So many spend time praying for this,
That and the other,
When the most effective place to be is still and silent.
That way you can actually hear me.
When it was said,
Be still and know that I am God.
That was great advice from Guess Who?
Yes,
Yours truly.
In the stillness you will find me.
Always.
Always.
For I am the knowing,
The eternal.
This leads us to look at a myth that there is something that you have to do or be to be with me.
Let me be direct on this.
This myth is absolute nonsense.
It's important to be crystal clear on this.
There is nothing you have to do.
Not only that,
Nothing matters.
You see,
The infinite cannot be anything other than infinite.
It's kind of cool that way.
It can play a game,
A game of hide and seek.
Pretending not to be itself,
Like you do when you think you are your body and its story.
Hiding from your truth.
Then having done this for long enough,
You forgot your truth.
And so go in search of it.
Seeking.
Call off the search.
Be still and know that I am God.
We are not separate but one.
Place your attention in the silence.
Let all the phenomena be observed as just that.
Effects in consciousness.
Just effects.
Like effects in a movie.
Not the movie itself.
Not life itself but an effect.
Life is not the effect.
Life is life.
The effects die away.
Only life is left.
So we can also say life is death.
Death of the phenomena.
Ego or even transformation of the phenomena back into life.
Back to where we started then.
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed.
Rather it can only be transformed.
The great transformation back into its very source.
You.
This whole letter today is an invitation home to meet me.
When you accept the invitation unreservedly,
We will meet and you will see finally.
I am you and we are one.
Be still and know.
So just continuing to rest in that,
Through that,
As that.
This rarefied atmosphere of silence.
Transforms.
Transmutes.
Returning everything to silence.
Stillness.
In silence you will realise your truth.
In truth you will realise you are silence.
Infinite silence.
In a moment now.
I will ring the ting sha bells.
Three times.
Three times.
And just aware of the chair you are sat in.
Or whatever you may be lay on.
Aware of your body.
Aware of the space.
And if you haven't already done so.
Just gently opening your eyes.
Just going to give everybody a moment or two to come back.
That was quite a long reading and I trust that you found it beneficial.
And then I'll go to some questions.
Just noticed that Alan's comment there,
Just reading that because it's quite relevant.
I had a sudden insight that lasted a few minutes whilst listening to this.
Not anything spectacular,
Rather subtle and soft.
Good.
It was a brief experience without me.
A couple of minutes of experiencing reality without noticing any trace of me identity.
I don't exist and when I realise it,
It feels so liberating.
Precisely.
It doesn't have to be spectacular.
The truth is only realised in silence through silence as silence.
I can see a few more donations have come through from Jeremy and Blossom.
Thank you very much for those.
We have a section in the group for spiritual inquiry questions.
Tracy posted this one.
The first part of the question that Tracy asked was,
May I ask what is a living sacrifice,
Please?
And I asked her to just give a little bit more information on what she was pointing at there.
So she added this.
I personally asked about a living sacrifice because I was thinking about another baptism and want renunciation.
I am having less interest in worldly matters and feel called to dedication.
I keep getting messages.
She's put it in brackets thoughts from HS,
Which I'm taking to mean higher self,
That nothing matters and only to focus on the eternal.
So thanks for that clarification as to what you were meaning there,
Tracy.
The second part gives me greater clarity on what you were pointing out.
So if I concentrate on that,
You were talking about thinking about another baptism and.
What that speaks to me about when that happens,
Certainly as one deepens into the realisation of the infinite silence,
The infinite consciousness,
The infinite awareness.
If you've come from that background,
Which it sounds like you might have done the then it can actually almost feel like a baptism.
A rebirth blessing from within,
Like a kiss from within.
This isn't necessarily a physical baptism,
But more like an energetic baptism,
A bit like the stream I did a while back now called a return to innocence.
And so this baptism may not be of water in the typical biblical sense,
But a baptism of awareness,
A baptism of realisation.
It may well be that you feel called to replicate that in the physical domain,
But it's also possible that this idea of baptism representing or acknowledging a birthing or rebirthing into a deeper state of awareness is what's behind this from a deeper space in your consciousness.
So that and I say that because I felt that that experience,
That sense of a kind of baptismal and enlightening,
Refreshing,
Uplifting,
Totally fresh,
Totally new type space that's always here.
So that might be a point as to why that's emerging for you.
The other thing that you go on to say is also important.
Is wanting renunciation,
And this is something that needs to be looked at a little bit more closely because we need to be a little careful what we mean by that.
Now,
As I've explained on many occasions,
I'm not schooled in Eastern traditions,
But I'm aware that there are many groups of people there and some choose to take a path of renunciation.
I think that might be right in saying that they call some of those people sadhus,
Which walk around either completely naked or almost completely naked,
Have no worldly possessions as part of what they see to be a commitment to self-realisation,
To enlightenment and so forth.
A connection with only the permanent.
The difficulty with that and from what I've observed and seen some of that,
And I remember seeing a documentary about the Kumbh Mela Festa Fall in India,
Which is an absolutely enormous event that takes place every few years in India and seeing some of these.
That in itself can become an identification,
The path of renunciation,
A rejection of all that is worldly,
And that in itself then becomes a path of suffering.
It's not about abandoning everything in the phenomenal world,
It's about,
As that pointing goes,
Being in this world,
But not of it.
Being in this world and not of it.
And that means we're not attached,
As I was pointing out in the letter I've just read,
Not attached to the impermanent.
The impermanent can be embraced,
Can be experienced,
But there's always this recognition that one is not it.
And I wouldn't use the word renunciation for this.
It's just simply a recognition,
A deeper recognition of what is.
Now,
It may be for some people that it's,
You know,
It's right for them.
The highest calling is for them to go and live in a cave somewhere in the Himalayas.
But not everybody can do that.
What's more effective,
Therefore,
Is to is to recognise the deeper presence,
The deeper awareness,
The silent witnessing presence,
To recognise and be open that you are that.
And then the physical phenomena and the physical domain can be there,
But one doesn't need to get identified with it,
Attached to it and believe that your joy.
The true joy is in any way associated with that.
Yes,
There can be pleasurable experiences and there's nothing wrong with them,
But the true joy is for no reason.
And it always arises like a perfume from the silence.
The true gratitude is the same,
The true peace is the same,
The true grace is the same.
So the trouble with renunciation is that it's almost like a rejection of what is and can become a source of suffering in itself.
So it's not about rejection or renunciation in that sense.
It's about accepting that there is an awareness,
A presence,
A stillness that is deeper and beyond all of the phenomenal domain that is permanent.
And then one can embrace that which is here in a way that is in service of that without being identified and attached to it.
So this is a more effective path because in this there won't be the suffering that comes with a rejection of what's here.
It's also true,
You can't say I'm having less interest in worldly matters and feel called to dedication.
And this is very much a function of deepening in awareness.
There can be phases where one doesn't necessarily perhaps engage with the physical domain,
The physical world in ways that perhaps one would have done in the past.
Maybe for argument's sake,
For instance,
Just as an extreme example,
You could have been a party animal tripping the light fantastic during the this goes till the early hours of morning,
Drinking and all this kind of thing.
But eventually,
You know,
As awareness deepens and these things that once seemed so attractive in the physical domain start to lose.
Their interest,
That kind of draw for you and what's of greater interest is that which is within the inner awareness,
The inner infinite silence.
And so this is quite normal or quite natural would be a better way of saying it,
Tracy.
And that is also true in the ultimate sense,
As you go on to say,
You keep getting you said thoughts from the higher self.
But I would call it insights from the awareness.
And it is true that in the ultimate sense,
At least,
And this is only true in the ultimate sense,
That nothing matters at the human level.
Of course,
It matters a great deal if one is acting lovingly,
Supportively,
Embracing and acting from a space of awareness with absolute sense of compelling compassion.
For the fortunes of others in the world.
But in the ultimate sense,
Yes,
Nothing matters.
That's true.
But at the human level and we therefore need to be in this world,
But not of it,
Then obviously things do matter in terms of how we are and the way we are being.
You then go on to say you're feeling called to only focus on the eternal.
And again,
This is very much a phase of deepening into awareness because we've been so focused for however long we've been in this body,
Whether it be 10,
20,
30,
40,
50 years or more.
To actually spend time,
Quality time resting and focusing on that which is permanent,
The eternal,
Is actually eventually is like a marinating process that goes on.
And just like when you're doing a marinade,
When you're cooking,
You start to take on the characteristics that like the food takes on the characteristics of the marinade as we marinate in infinite silence or infinite awareness or infinite consciousness.
Then that is imbued in every cell of our being.
And this is focusing on the eternal and then the natural expression of that starts to emerge in you.
And you may find that this goes in phases where perhaps one is initially at least withdrawn from the interactions with the physical domain.
But eventually,
Because this awareness is always choosing to express itself freely and naturally in your form,
It may be that that comes back on stream as that deepening of awareness is integrated.
So from the way you were describing it,
Tracy,
Feels like to me you're being called to spend more time in silence,
Meditation marinating in that to allow that to deepen,
To allow this re-emergence,
This kind of sense of rebirth.
Actually,
The recognition of that which you truly are to emerge,
Give space to that and let that let that then eventually come to express itself.
And in this context,
I don't see this as so much as a sacrifice.
The identity I,
That which you have believed that you are,
This body,
Mind and its story would probably see that as a sacrifice.
But actually,
Since one is already that which you are seeking,
The infinite silence,
The infinite awareness,
The infinite consciousness,
Then there is nothing ultimately to sacrifice.
But you could say at the identity level,
It will feel like a sacrifice to it because the one thing the identity I always wants to do is to hang on to itself as that.
Because its greatest fear is its own demise and it perceives its own demise as the death of the body vehicle,
When in fact what it actually is,
Is the death of identification with that as all you are.
And then when that death,
In that belief in that,
Dissolves completely along with the emotional body,
Then there can be this realization,
A deep anchored in itself as itself realization of lasting peace.
So from the way you describe it,
That's what it feels like.
You're being drawn to open to this deepening of awareness.
You'd be quite happy in a monastery at the moment and maybe that spending more time in silence,
In that marinating in that is exactly what you're being called to do.
So if your heart is calling you to that and you're clear on that,
Then embrace that.
See how that manifests for you.
Be interested in what is in the highest and greatest good because we still have these bodies.
We still have to embrace this physical domain and there are practicalities associated with that.
But if you're in a position where you can spend more time in stillness and silence and that feels good for you at the moment,
Then go with that.
So hopefully that has given you a bit of insight on that,
Tracy.
If there's anything more,
Then please do let me know.
What I want to do is to move on to an important question from Ruth.
I understand these on the stream.
Ruth's question is this.
So I'm curious,
What part does forgiveness play in awakening?
Must it become before an initial I am awakening or will it occur during the sorting of emotions that would likely emerge from the post awakening journey?
I am writing from the perspective of one who assumes she is unawakened,
Even though you,
Philip,
Would say differently.
I tend to struggle with many of the spiritual terms such as forgiveness,
Surrender,
Acceptance,
Etc.
I'm sure many people can relate to this actually,
Ruth.
They can seem very much like a doing thus in playing a doer as if perfection is required prior to awakening.
It can feel a bit like tail chasing as well,
Like a mental exercise,
Which is probably counterproductive nonetheless,
Round and round in circles I go.
Any of your wonderful insights would be appreciated.
I reckon,
Ruth,
A lot of people can relate to this question,
Particularly when you talk about terms such as forgiveness,
Surrender,
Acceptance,
Etc.
I'm going to go through the question in parts again and unpack various bits of it.
But I want to start with this insight,
Which is very important and really is the essence of the letter I just read out.
That which you are seeking is that which you already are.
That which you are seeking is that which you already are.
And that's the infinite silence,
The infinite consciousness,
The infinite awareness.
And you can also say it this way,
You get there and there is not a place by realising,
Hence the term self realisation,
That you are already there.
Now,
From this context,
We can start to unpack what these terms point to and what they really mean.
Because from the ultimate level,
And I'm talking at the ultimate level only here now.
There is ultimately no surrender.
Nothing to accept.
And no forgiveness.
Now that's at the ultimate level.
At the human level,
Those are experiences that we will experience because we have experience through the experience of time,
Space,
Form and so forth.
Now,
Going back into the various parts of the question,
There's various things that need to be sort of unpacked there.
I'm curious what part does forgiveness play in awakening?
Must it come before an initial I am awakening or will it occur during the sorting of emotions that would likely emerge from the post awakening journey?
Second part,
Accurate seeing growth.
Much more like that.
Much more like that.
You see,
When you think about forgiveness in the human context.
Let's let me give you an example here.
Let's say.
Somebody or someone does something that is not particularly pleasant and it has,
You know,
An impact upon you that is quite challenging and so forth,
And it's an unloving action or behaviour.
Now,
This person in this kind of hypothetical example is quite possible,
Could be completely and utterly unaware of the effects of their actions or inactions.
That's entirely possible.
You know,
They could be completely and totally utterly oblivious.
And here's you who've experienced this emotional,
Let's say,
Trigger or trauma from this,
Holding onto that energy.
And maybe,
And people do say this,
You know,
I cannot forgive them.
Now,
In this scenario,
I'm citing here is a hypothetical example,
And the person is the other person is completely and utterly oblivious to what they may have done or not done or something.
Then who is the one that is suffering?
It's surely not them because they're completely oblivious to their actions or inactions.
It must be,
Therefore,
You that is suffering by holding onto the need to hold some kind of grudge or whatever against this individual,
No matter what that was.
So in this sense,
Forgiveness is about you coming to peace.
In yourself.
And not actually in this context,
Anything to do with the other.
It doesn't condone,
By the way,
This is very important,
The inappropriate or unloving behaviours of other people.
But since in this example,
I am citing to help draw clarity on the issue.
You're the one that is struggling and suffering,
Then actually opening to the energy of being prepared to not identify with the suffering that is within you around this issue.
To trust that,
In fact,
You are the infinite silence or the infinite awareness.
And like in that live stream that I did,
Transmuting fear into love,
Witness that,
Feel that energy,
Let it be seen from the non-judgmental space of infinite silence.
And then naturally.
The dissolution of all the emotional energy around that will fall away.
Not only will you feel lighter and that there may even be a sense of the word forgiveness in that process.
But actually,
You will come to peace on this specific issue.
And it may also indeed even unconsciously impact the connection or relationship with the other.
So forgiveness is forgiving.
To you,
Back to you,
The opportunity to realise peace.
This is what it is.
Surrender.
Acceptance.
Is similar at the ultimate level,
There's nothing to surrender to because you are already this.
However,
The human level,
We will experience this of a preparedness,
A willingness to let go of the belief,
The identification,
The attachment to the body mind story.
The identity.
So we could say the cost of realisation is a preparedness to drop or let your beliefs dissolve.
An acceptance is simply acceptance of what is here,
The pure fact that it's here.
It doesn't mean condoning,
As I said in the forgiveness example of inappropriate behaviours.
It just means accepting what's here and going on to the other parts of your question.
So I've already counted on this first part of this.
I'm writing from the perspective for once.
Assumes she is unawakened,
Even though you feel it would say differently.
Well,
Yes,
I would.
No,
I wouldn't.
Yes.
In the sense that that which you are seeking is that which you already are.
This is true and this will eventually be realised.
But there's like a journey that we experience and we start this journey by our process.
We use the word trust and we start to place trust in that awareness as we open to it.
And we take baby steps on that journey of trust.
And then we eventually come to the place of the highest form of trust,
Which is not having to trust at all.
The highest form of trust is not having to trust.
It's a knowing and a realisation that one is this.
So we need to be prepared to be open to this higher space.
And the bit that I was commenting on,
People do struggle with these terms,
Forgiveness,
Surrender and acceptance,
And really for the reasons that you're saying,
They can seem very much like doing and implying a doer as if perfection is required prior to awakening.
And this idea of perfection is also another form of suffering.
Forget it.
Perfection is a myth.
If there is a perfection,
It would be the infinite silence,
The absolute itself,
In that it is unchanging.
Unmoving,
Untouched and unblemished.
But perfection also implies imperfection.
And so that which is the infinite silence is both beyond and before the concept of perfection.
So we're not seeking perfection.
We're opening to what is.
And as I say,
Ultimately,
At the ultimate level,
There is nothing to surrender to,
Nothing to forgive.
It simply is.
And as that is seen,
All of those other things in the emotional body will naturally and effortlessly,
Ultimately dissolve.
And I use the term effortless grace.
Effortless grace.
What's much more effective,
Therefore,
Ruth,
In this whole journey is.
Not to get hung up in some of these concepts like surrender,
Like forgiveness,
Like acceptance.
Much more effective still is to open to.
And this is what I'm always pointing out.
What is it that is the witness to everything that's appearing on the green screen of consciousness?
And is that witnessing presence affected by.
Touched by the appearance of whatever is here now.
And the answer you're eventually going to see and eventually going to realise is no,
It isn't.
The phenomena appearing like waves on the surface of an ocean.
They may be tsunamis,
But the witnessing presence is simply untouched,
Unmoved,
Unblemished,
Infinite and eternal.
And in this way and focusing on that,
Then anything in the belief,
Identification,
Attachment and the emotional body that comes with that is simply going to be a rise in awareness to be seen.
Life will present all of the invitations necessary.
And if you face those head on,
Witness them from the space of this awareness,
Trust that awareness and that awareness alone,
Then all that we need to be seen dissolved and resolved will be dissolved and resolved.
And we don't need to get hung up on concepts like forgiveness,
Like surrender,
Like acceptance.
Yes,
You may well experience sensations of that,
But they are also phenomena.
And eventually all of those phenomena will simply fall away and dissolve.
Awareness is the key.
The door.
And ultimately there is no key and there is no door.
So awareness is the way forward.
There's so many of the talk,
So much talk about these concepts and you can easily get hung up on them when really and simply awareness is really the only and most powerful and an infinite tool that you need.
And you are already this.
And it's not about believing a single word I say about it,
Because truth is a realisation,
Not a belief.
Truth is a realisation,
Not a belief.
Go with awareness.
You can almost forget the rest.
It will simply and utterly.
Fall away.
And we don't need to get hung up on tricky spiritual concepts and so forth.
So hopefully that's been OK for you,
Ruth.
I think I saw a comment whilst I was offering some insight that I'm just going to see if I can scroll back and see.
OK,
It's not that I want to hold any grudges,
It just doesn't feel like I have forgiven.
I want to put not having.
Felt conscious release,
Physical,
Emotional,
It still feels as I'm holding on to negativity.
OK,
Well,
I've really kind of addressed that bit already.
Ruth,
Go with awareness,
Go with awareness,
Go with awareness.
And if you trust and place trust in awareness,
The infinite silence,
The infinite awareness,
All of that emotional energy,
Even the experience of holding on that you refer to will eventually be seen,
Be dissolved,
And it won't be a doing.
It will not be a doing.
It will be a realisation.
And yes,
There may well be,
You know,
You do have to feel it.
You do have to allow it to be felt,
But you have to trust the awareness.
And then it will simply and silently and effortlessly be dissolved.
You know,
People always talk about doing,
And ultimately this is not a doing.
It's a realisation.
It really is a realisation.
Like this.
Like this.
There was one thing I remember from a few weeks ago,
And I think Linda's on the stream tonight,
And it was when you were talking about this point of focus around the third eye,
Linda,
And you just wanted to say one further thing about that when you were sort of felt this singular focus.
When one's in deep meditation and you're starting to move beyond the phenomenal,
What you'll eventually what you might come to notice is that you're physicalised.
It's almost like they're looking through this third eye area.
And actually,
That's a very effective space to be in from meditation where the eyes are looking like that.
You know,
Eyes are closed,
But it's almost like the physical eyes are looking through here.
And you'll notice that that will have quite an impact on your meditation.
And yes,
There may be a sort of physical phenomena there,
But eventually that too will drop.
So I just wanted to comment on that as well.
I can see various comments about people deep into the nothingness.
Nicole is saying,
This is the feeling I got when my best friends both died.
I just knew what was real about them and was not gone.
Good.
I'm glad to hear that you got that sense,
Nicole.
That is very important.
Thank you,
Alan.
OK,
Yes.
Tracy is saying,
Yes,
Absolutely.
Rather lost the attachments that I'd been used to suffer from for such a long time.
I've been released at long last.
Good.
Good.
And so perfect for it.
Good.
OK,
So glad those insights worked for you,
Tracy.
Lisa,
This is my first time discovering you.
I loved hearing the letter from God you wrote.
I so agree with the answer.
Thoughts you shared with Tracy.
Spiritual,
Not religious.
OK,
Good.
Anak is saying yes in the world,
But not of it.
Complete relaxation.
Good.
I'm glad to hear of your experience,
Lisa,
Of the sense of the higher power within.
OK,
Nicole,
Lots of unlearning is needed being off social media and news does help to tune until the reality is seen.
Indeed,
It can.
And that's very much part of the journey.
OK,
So Anak is saying,
Lovely to receive this letter from you today,
Philip.
The headache during today is gone,
Gone,
Gone.
Good.
I'm glad to hear that.
It doesn't look like my donation showed up today either.
I don't know what happens there.
I think you can do it on my profile as well,
Anak.
But anyway,
Just to thank you for the donations that have come through.
They're very much appreciated.
Obviously helps me share the message and helps insight.

Also on my profile.
All the same amount of guidance,
Just increasing silence.
So you can use those.
And there is also a playlist of my shorter tracks as well.
I can see a donations come through from Tracy.
So thank you very much for that.
Thank you for everybody that's donated.
It's really appreciated.
It does make a difference in terms of being able to share this message and certainly makes a difference for insight.
Timer as well.
This is a really great platform because for me,
It's so distraction free compared to many other places that I've used in the past.

Thank you! After an emotional few days this was exactly what I needed to hear. It's cleared so much from me and will certainly be my 'go to' meditation when I'm lost in a powerful emotional story.
