Welcome to today's practice.
Today we're going to release overthinking and allow ourselves to embrace a little more clarity.
Overthinking can keep us stuck in worry,
Fear,
Or self-doubt,
But if you can tap into your greater knowing,
You can release the pattern of overthinking and move toward clarity.
So let's begin.
I invite you to settle into a comfortable position and allow yourself to relax.
Try to release any tension you're feeling and close your eyes.
See if you can let go of whatever's come before this moment and anything that's coming after as you gently ease into being here and now.
Let's start by taking one deep breath.
Inhale and exhale.
Your mind loves to solve problems.
It likes to tell constant stories,
And so often we run right alongside it step for step.
But you are not your thinking.
You're not your thinking because the greater you,
Your higher self,
Or the you underneath this type of self-sabotaging pattern can change your thoughts.
This part of you can notice what you're thinking and without judgment,
Make a decision to think something else.
So I'd like you to imagine just for a moment that you're caught up in a loop where you're thinking,
Thinking,
Thinking.
What's something that's been on your mind lately?
Is there a problem or situation that's taking up a lot of your time and energy?
Imagine just briefly that you're in that space of overthinking.
Maybe you're also feeling overwhelmed,
Maybe stress or discouragement,
Anger,
Maybe frustration.
Feel the feelings of discomfort associated with your mind's need to think it all through.
But look,
Right in front of you,
Imagine an expansive,
Wide open field.
The sun is starting to set.
There's a beautiful glow of orange light on a tall grassy field.
There are trees off in the distance.
You can feel the sun on your face.
The air feels fresh and you feel relaxed,
At ease,
Content.
Imagine your mind is a well-trained athlete,
Strong,
Agile,
And ready to move in any direction you choose.
You are a powerful creator.
Instead of overthinking,
You can choose clarity.
What would your life look like with more clarity in it?
How would you be?
What kinds of things would you be doing?
What would you not be doing?
Choose one thing that would be different for you if you invited more clarity into your life.
When you allow your mind to wander down the same roads you've been going down,
Your life will keep reflecting that same old thinking back to you.
But when you make a conscious decision to think different thoughts,
Different things start to show up.
So what are those thoughts for you?
You get to choose.
But here are a few possibilities.
You're welcome to repeat these affirmations now,
Or say them any time all through the day to help bring you back here.

I choose the thoughts I want to think,
And I choose clarity.

I let go of worry,
Fear,
And overthinking.

My clear thinking is opening up new opportunities.
