In this yoga nidra.
We enter the threshold where the mind relaxes and the crown chakra opens like a velvet dawn.
In this space arises the inner seer.
A silent presence that watches from above the thinking mind.
So this is the practice to trust your knowing rather than just intellect,
And it lies beneath the thinking mind.
So the inner seer in this series is not a person,
Is not a developmental stage or a role.
It's an archetypal movement which is within the pranamaya layer,
Within the breath layer.
It arises before thought.
In yoga terms,
It's the moment beneath movement.
In Buddhist terms,
It's before clinging turns into identity.
So this is why we look at sensations,
Because if we interact with our sensations,
It starts to create our identity.
Whereas when we can just observe our sensations,
It helps to reduce our identity,
Reduce our clinging,
And reduce our ego.
So this crown chakra clarity gathers insight simply by being open.
So there's no impulses,
No emotions,
It just is.
It's a sensing intelligence.
You could ask yourself where in your body do you feel this knowing before thought?
So when we cling to views and self-concepts,
This is the fuel that starts to make who we are.
And we start to have stories and opinions about who we are and how the world works.
And these habits they become ingrained.
And they solidify,
They form a solidity.
And it causes a sense of me,
Of who we are.
But in the Buddhist concept of dependent arising,
We create a self to preserve,
Even though no fixed self exists.
If you search for the self within you,
You'll find there isn't an actual self.
But society reflects and reinforces this creation,
And the ignorance of who we are is part of this process,
And this is what leads to suffering.
And what we try to do is break the habit to break this cycle and part of the way we do it is within Yoganidriya just being in that space and not reacting to anything or if we're working with sensations as with Vipassana then we're just observing.
There's no direction,
There's no attaching to identity.
Please get comfortable in shavasana resting on your back on the mattress or yoga mat whatever is comfortable so you can remain still for one hour.
Line with your legs a bit wider than hip width apart with your arms by your side palms gently facing upward.
Just put a cushion under your knees and head for added comfort.
We use chanting to enliven this chakra and move any stuck mental emotional patterns.
If you tend to fall asleep,
Being slightly cool helps,
Or elevating your head and shoulders,
Or sitting up.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Allowing your body to enter a complete stillness.
Intentional pauses during the yoga nidra to allow for integration of the InsightLeader guidance.
Just listen to the voice.
Say to yourself,
I'll stay awake.
It's going back to the last instruction,
If you're unsure of what to do.
So we'll now begin.
Just letting your body settle into the earth Feel the weight of the bones.
The softness of the muscles.
The quieting of the breath.
At the edges of thoughts loosened.
The whole system begins to dim like twilight.
So for two minutes if you'd like to chant OM,
A-U-M,
Just putting your attention on the crown chakra above your head,
If you can visualize a soft violet luminosity above your head.
Either chanting to yourself but let the sound of OM resonate inwardly.
Like a vibration rising like moonlight through your subtle body.
For the next two minutes.
Just feel spaciousness opening above you.
When you're ready.
Letting your breath become smooth.
Your mind horizon widens.
Imagine yourself walking through a quiet night landscape.
The air is silvery.
The horizon is washed in moonlight.
And mode is a threshold.
Two ancient pillars.
A veiled figure is seated in stillness.
It does not call you forward.
Let you feel drawn.
Your own intuition.
Is guiding your steps.
Before meeting this figure you prepare yourself with breath meditation.
Inhaling light.
From your feet,
So putting your attention on your feet.
Inhaling light from your feet.
Up to your heart chakra.
From the centre of your chest to the crown.
At the top of the inhale.
Just enter the gap,
That tiny pause where prana gathers before movement.
Just hold for a few seconds,
Going deeper,
Then relax,
Exhaling back down to your feet.
Inhaling light from your feet up through the heart chakra to the crown.
And the top of the inhale.
Enter the gap.
A tiny pause.
Makrana gathers.
Hold.
Relax,
Exhaling back down to the feet and keep repeating.
Now putting your attention on your hands.
Inhaling light.
From your hands up to the crown.
At the end of the inhale,
Again slipping into the gap.
The moment beneath movement,
Just holding gently,
Exhaling back to your hands inhaling light from your hands up to the crown.
At the end of the inhale,
Just slipping into the gap.
Holding gently exhaling back to your hands and just keep repeating for the next couple of minutes as you keep inhaling light and exhaling light.
Just making sure everything is soft fluid.
Zuna.
With any of these meditations.
If you find one which is particularly working for you,
Then stay with that one.
If you wish,
In bringing your attention to the base chakra between the pubic bone and the tailbone.
Inhaling from the base chakra up the spinal channel visualising it as hollow.
Inhaling up to the crown exhaling from the crown,
Down the spinal cord,
Back to the base chakra And with all these meditations,
Just keep repeating them.
As you inhale from the base chakra up the spine to the crown if you sense any blockage.
Any thoughts?
Emotions contractions.
And just pulls at that level.
Of the spine.
Breathing gently into that area,
Subserving that area.
Letting light flow into it.
Until it passes.
This might take a minute or two.
And when you've gone through that obstruction or emotion or thought,
Just continue upwards.
From the crown,
Exhaling down the spinal cord back to the base causing it any blockage as you breathe up and down the spine.
Letting light dissolve it.
Still be here for a couple of minutes so take your time with dissolving any thoughts or emotions or discomfort in the spine.
You breathe,
Just let your breath be subtle.
If you wish,
Letting your breath become even more subtle,
Hardly breathing.
Visualizing a white violet stream.
Flowing from the crown chakra above your head.
Down to the base chakra,
Between the pubic bone and the tailbone,
And back again to the crown.
Letting the mind relax.
The prana show you its natural direction.
Following the subtle breath intuitively.
From the crown to the base and back to the crown.
A white,
Violet stream.
Flown continuously.
Between the two.
Letting the mind relax.
As prana,
As a subtle breath,
Shows you its natural direction.
For another couple of minutes.
Being prepared.
For breathing exercises.
Arrive at the moonlit threshold.
Continuing with this archetype.
A veiled seer sits between the pillars,
Still as midnight water.
You place your four potentials before her.
The sword of clear thought.
Chalice of sealing.
The staff of inner meaning.
The pentacle of embodied choice.
There were so many paths I could take.
But I cannot decide.
She remained silent.
Instead offers you two ancient scrolls.
You sit at her feet,
Reading the scrolls by moonlight.
The scrolls reveal not instructions.
But a glimpse of your own potential.
Uncertainty remains.
And the voice raises.
Not from her,
But from within you.
What do your instincts tell you?
Let this question echo inside your body.
Be here for another couple of minutes.
It's visualising the veiled seer between the pillars.
Your four potentials before her.
Clear thought.
Feeling.
In a meaning.
.
.
Or imported twice.
What you feel is your potential.
What your instincts tell you.
We're going to move into the metta,
Compassion.
Meditation.
As letting your breath relax.
Warmth gathering in your heart.
Finally,
Offering.
May I be at ease.
May I be clear?
May I be free from clinging.
May I be at ease.
May I be clear?
May I be free from clinging.
Whatever words come to you.
When you're ready,
If you wish.
Bringing someone to mind.
May they be at ease.
May they be clear-sighted.
May they and all beings be free from clinging,
From attachment.
With someone in mind.
Wishing them to be at ease.
Clear-sighted.
Free from attachment.
Letting this compassion radiate upwards.
Your trans chakra.
And outwards,
Like moonlight.
For the next minute or two.
Everything is compassion,
Radiate upwards from your heart.
And outward.
Like moonlight.
When you're ready,
Move deeper into Yoganidra.
Letting your inner seer,
Your intuition deepen.
Just feel where this clarity gathers.
Feel where this energy is focused.
Where you feel an expansion.
Relaxation or movement.
Let any answers come not as thought.
That is subtle.
Direction.
Just keep working with your intuition.
Which part of your body do you feel this clarity?
Where does this energy focus?
Let the answer come,
The subtle movement.
Or direction.
Keep working with this for another minute or two.
I'm in deep yoga nidra.
Have you met?
Your inner seer.
I just don't leave.
The inner voice returns.
Meet again when you're ready to walk the most secret path of all.
Let these words settle like moonlight on water.
Let's keep going deeper,
Not thinking,
And just see what arises.
Keep going deeper and deeper and deeper.
No forcing.
No interpreting.
Only direct in a saying.
Just rest in the space where the inner seer appeared.
Welcome to carry on in deep Gaganidra.
Or if you wish,
Just moving into relaxation.
Feeling a soft luminosity.
At the crown chakra.
Letting luminosity flow into any affected areas.
Flowing into any emotions.
Letting the light dissolve any clinging.
Any attachments.
A light dissolving and its dark identity.
Feeling the soft luminosity flow into any affected areas.
Into any emotions.
The light dissolving.
Attachments.
Resolving his stark identity.
Resting your crown chakra.
No thinking.
No grasping.
Breathing fluidly.
In a timelessness.
Lakpana Chakra.
Becoming the awareness.
Prior to movement.
In awareness,
Quiet interpretation.
Keep breathing fluidly into the crown chakra.
Sensing space to the left of your body space to the left of your body space to the right of your body space to the right.
Being aware of the starry sky above you.
Being aware of the starry sky above.
Yes,
We love you.
Ascensing the earth below you.
Letting your body feel suspended in openness Your body feeling suspended.
When you're ready,
Just rolling onto your right side.
Keep your eyes closed for a little bit longer.
Gradually making your way to sitting position.
Inhaling deeply.
And as you exhale.
.
.
Feeling peace.
Feeling you.
And those around you.
Inhaling deeply,
And as you exhale,
Feeling peace.
Filling you.
And those around you.
Let's repeat several times.
Now your inner seer is resting.
Which will appear in the system.
Listens inwardly.
Which will dissolve.
When awareness rests as itself.
The female awareness back.
From the silence and stillness.
Notice the surface beneath you.
The sounds around you.
The practice of insight nidra is now complete.
You may wish to rest.
Meditate or slowly move your body.
When you're ready to slowly open your eyes.
Please have a look at my inside timer.
For upcoming retreats.
And live yoga nidra sessions.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
