
IN-Nidra Throat Chakra Guided Meditation

This meditative practice can benefit those needing to communicate and strengthen their voice. For those with anxiety it can enhance self-expression. The neck is the bridge between the higher and lower spiritual centers and is associated with intuition and inner listening. By combining the Throat chakra with the physical layer this guided practice will support you to gain confidence and be more expressive.

Welcome to Insight Nidra with Ian Melrose.
This meditative practice combines eastern and western modalities of Vipassana,
Yoga Nidra,
Chakra work,
Archetypes and body symptoms.
Today we are working with the throat chakra,
Located around the throat area.
It is the center of creativity,
Communication and self-expression.
It is the color blue.
We'll be focusing on the outermost layer,
The physical layer.
Please prepare yourself.
For this practice you will want to be comfortable.
Please find a place where you can lie down and stay warm throughout.
Make sure you have a dark area so no light will filter through.
Use an eye mask or keep your full curtain shut.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Becoming aware of the body resting,
Body resting on the ground.
Breathe in deeply and as you breathe out,
Just come into contact with any discomforts that you have and breathe into them.
Be aware of the whole body breathing.
Your mind is present with the breathing.
Try to maintain absolute stillness.
Starting at your crown chakra,
Just bring in the white or blue light through your body,
Through the hollow spaces of your body,
Through your hollow arms and chest.
Just in your own time.
Seeing your fingernails growing or the energy,
The white or blue energy coming out through the fingers,
Through the abdomen pelvis.
Through your legs.
Into the ground.
As we're working with the throat chakra,
You can especially use this time for any problems with your ears,
Mouth,
Muscles,
Neck,
Or your condition in general.
You visualize putting your hands,
Those of a practitioner or awakened person on that part of the body which is troubling you.
Let's return the mind more inwards.
And to use something called effortless breathing.
Letting your breathing become smooth,
Even,
And continuous.
No gap between in-breath and the out-breath.
Just slowly,
Not fast.
Inhalation draws in new energy,
Healing,
Strength,
And renewal.
Exhalation,
Restores,
Releases,
Let's go and surrenders.
To the innate intelligence of the natural breath.
And notice any restrictions,
Tensions,
Or contractions.
Intentionally let go of the face muscles,
Jaw,
Shoulders.
Release the whole body.
Let the whole body become heavy and merge with the earth.
Reflect on any condition you wish to transform or heal.
Acknowledge the condition,
No judgment.
Allow the disease to be present in your awareness.
Notice any sensations in the injury or pain.
Let the sensations evolve into a symbol or image.
No effort.
Just let the image unfold.
If there's no image or symbol representing your condition,
It doesn't matter.
Letting go of that symbol or image,
Which may be a feeling.
We're now going to move into spinal inhalation.
We're starting at the base chakra by the perineum inhaling white or blue light to the third eye,
Up the spine in one slow breath,
Passing through the midbrain.
And if you can't do it in one breath,
Then just take several breaths.
Exhale from the third eye through the midbrain down to the perineum by the coccyx.
Visualize the spine,
Spinal cord as hollow.
Let's keep repeating.
Exhaling down the spine.
Inhaling up the spine.
Exhaling.
Using your awareness,
Following the subtle breath.
Flowing in a blue or white stream from the third eye to the base chakra and back.
Just keep repeating.
This visualization,
Which is also happening in reality,
Balancing the internal energies of the chakras,
Which originate from the sishuma,
The central channel mirroring the spine,
Spinal cord,
And also the two energy flows on either side of the spine.
This latent energy flows up these channels to reach a point from which it originally emerged,
The crown chakra.
Just keep relaxing your body and mind.
Bringing your attention to the shoulder blades.
Just draw them down the back.
We're going to rotate through different parts of the body.
So put the intention of healing in a star-like point of light on each of these following areas.
We're going to be going through fairly slowly.
Starting with the third eye between the eyebrows.
Putting healing,
The star-like point of energy on that point.
Throat chakra.
Right shoulder.
Elbow.
The wrist.
Staying in the hollow of the body as you come through the arm and through all the other structures.
Bringing your awareness,
Your right thumb,
Extending in space beyond the thumb,
As with all the fingers.
Right forefinger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Right wrist.
Elbow.
Shoulder.
Throat chakra.
Left shoulder.
Just remembering to put healing in the star-point of light at each area.
Left elbow.
Wrist.
Thumb.
Forefinger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Right shoulder.
Right shoulder.
Left elbow.
Right shoulder.
Left elbow.
Right shoulder.
Throat chakra.
Heart chakra.
Right chest.
Left chest.
The hollow in between.
Throat chakra.
Third eye chakra.
With intention of healing,
In a star burst of light on the disease,
Injury or mental state.
Keep working with whatever past the body or state of mind is arising.
Bring light into the space in the whole body.
Outside the whole body.
Boundless space.
Inside and outside.
Experience healing and stars of light in this absolute space of awareness.

Org Become aware of your innate ability to heal.
Return to the sensations you're experiencing in your disease,
Injury or mental state.
Let the sensations blossom to become a unique image or symbol.
Don't try to imagine or wish what it might be.
Let it develop naturally in its own time,
Which may not be now.
Put intention into the symbol or image.
To cure or release the condition.
To be its antidote.
Trust your innate intelligence of unfolding revelation.
The image or symbol may change.
Let it fill the mind,
Body and emotions.
Until you are the embodiment of that symbol.
Let go and become the image.
Let awareness become conditioned by that symbol.
Become the healer and the one receiving healing.
Keep working with that.
Be aware of your innate ability to heal.

Notice space between your breaths.
Sense the body open and healing.
Simultaneously notice the space between the back of your body on the ground and the front of your body facing upwards.
Observe space between your fingers and toes,
Between your arms,
Between your shoulders and your neck.
Notice space between your fingers and toes,
Between your arms,
Between your shoulders and your neck.
Just finish with a message of practice,
A practice of loving kindness.
So while I'm explaining it,
If you just keep saying to yourself,
May I be happy or similar words while I'm talking,
We can confuse matter with other emotions or think it's difficult to do and not something we've experienced.
Matter isn't the same as feeling good,
But we feel more complete,
Joyful and happy.
The quality of matter is caring about others.
It's someone who puts others before themselves.
It's being appreciative of ourselves and others.
Every time you feel pleasure in seeing someone do well or a patient with someone who's difficult or considerate,
We're experiencing matter.
To practice matter means even if we don't like someone,
We still have their welfare at heart.
Matter exists in degrees that can be expressed simply as politeness and courtesy.
Just try it now in whichever level you're able to do.
Just for one or two minutes.
