It is now time to prepare for Insight Nidra.
Please lie down in Shavasana with your feet hip width apart and your arms slightly away from the body,
Palms up.
Make sure you are warm,
Comfortable and relaxed.
It is best if you are in a dark room.
Use an eye mask if needed.
Ian will now begin this guided meditation.
Working with the crown chakra,
Still at the physical layer,
And so putting your attention on the crown,
Working with the B note and the chant is on AUM for the next few minutes.

Breathing in deeply and as you breathe out contact discomforts and breathe into them.
Just do this for a couple of minutes.

Visualize that your hands become warm,
Full of healing energy.
All those of a practitioner or awakened person.
And spontaneously go to a part of your body requiring attention just within your mind not actually moving your hands.

Bringing your attention to observe sensations on the crown.
Visualizing specks of white or violet energy on the crown or midbrain.
Visualize this light pouring through your body removing the mental emotional physical blockages.

Moving down through the hollow spaces of your body,
Of your nervous system.
Draining out of your toes.

Use your intuition to follow the subtle breath.
Flowing the effervescent white or violet stream.
From the crown to the base and back.
Just keep repeating.

When you next arrive at the crown chakra,
Just rest your attention there.
Feel your pineal gland,

Reflect that acquisitions end in dispersal.
Meetings in separation.
Births in death.

Moving down to the throat chakra.
Which truth has no birth or death?

Moving down to the heart chakra.
Go deeper into your heart,
Into awareness.
All four limbs.

Attention the chakra,
The tailbone.
Gradually in your own time counting up to 34 as you move round the spine in a spiral.
Slowly moving round and round the spine,
The centre of the body,
Up to the occiput.
The pineal gland,
The third eye centre,
Above your crown.
Gradually,
Slowly,
Moving up and up.
If you lose a count,
You start again.
You eventually reach the crown through which you see infinite space.
Like a searchlight of awareness,
Gazing outwards.
Feel your mind being absorbed by this space.
Letting your body and mind melt in a vast,
Shimmering ocean of awareness.
Starting at the tailbone,
Gradually counting up to 34 and moving upwards to above the crown.
