You chose this moment to let go of something that is keeping your soul and your mind heavy.
This practice is meant to be a gentle visualization exercise built to help you achieve this.
The act of letting go is a sacred achievement in this journey of life.
And at times,
We hold on out of fear and for a need to be safe.
Well,
My friend,
This is your time and your space to feel safe,
To let go.
Now,
I ask that you close your eyes,
Find stillness,
Find silence.
Whatever thoughts you're having,
Watch them as they float through your mind,
Like leaves on a gentle stream.
You don't have to do anything with these thoughts.
Just let them pass.
Bring a moment of awareness to your body.
Whether you're sitting on a chair or lying down,
I want you to feel how it feels to be resting on the surface you've chosen.
Bring awareness to the sensation of being still,
Of enjoying this silence.
Bring awareness to the rise and fall of your chest with each breath.
Your body knows what to do.
Let it.
Breathing is easy and natural.
However,
Let's be intentional with your breath for a moment.
In a moment,
I want you to breathe in through your nose for the count of seven,
Then hold it for one second,
And slowly exhale for the count of eleven.
You'll feel the air disappear from your lungs as you push through the last breath,
Letting go of old breath to let new breath,
Life,
And energy in.
Okay,
Now inhale through the nose for seven,
Hold it,
And exhale slowly for eleven.
Good.
Okay,
Now picture yourself standing on a quiet,
Calm beach.
You can sense the warm sand underneath your feet and hear the gentle lapping of waves against the shore.
You are by yourself,
Cocooned in this safe place where it is warm and inviting.
Relax your shoulders,
Loosen your jawline,
Let your forehead smooth out,
And allow the events of the day to disappear into the fresh air surrounding you.
You feel good right now,
Relaxed,
Peaceful.
Now picture yourself looking down into your hands.
In each of your palms,
You are holding onto a heavy rock.
On each rock,
You can clearly see a negative belief,
A heavy feeling,
Or the name of someone that has caused or is causing you pain.
See these black rocks with those words clearly labeled.
You can feel the tension in your mind when you see these words.
Your shoulders may even begin tightening.
That's okay,
You're safe.
While you're holding these rocks,
You can now begin to feel a breeze tickling your neck.
Your hair is moving slightly.
There's energy in your hands where those heavy rocks are.
A light tickle begins washing over your hands.
Observe your body right now.
Feel how it feels,
And know that whatever you feel,
It is perfectly right for you.
And now you look down and can see each rock wrapped in a soft,
White light.
You can begin feeling this white light from within your body,
Behind your closed eyes.
It is everywhere,
And it is growing within you.
You can sense its healing power.
Enjoy this moment,
And breathe in slowly,
And exhale slowly.
Good.
The ocean breeze is picking up now,
And you can feel your hands become lighter.
Looking down,
You see the rocks,
Surrounded by soft white light,
Have now lifted off of your palms.
You immediately feel lighter.
Now,
The warm wind is all around you,
And you watch as the wind carries the rocks away from you like two floating white orbs.
They gently float away into the distance towards the open ocean.
Then they float down into the blue water,
Slipping under the surface gently.
Now you're relaxed.
You feel safe.
You have just let go of those weights that have been keeping you heavy.
All that has stopped you from feeling free and joyful is gone.
The disempowering energy you felt has left you.
Your body relaxes.
You feel a slight tingle in each hand,
And you feel immediately lighter,
More free.
You can feel your mind clear.
Your shoulders loosen again.
A weight has been lifted.
Now,
Breathe in slowly,
Hold it,
And breathe out slowly.
Be here with yourself.
Know that you are healthy,
You are safe,
You are loved,
And you are free to enjoy the rest of the day and the rest of your life with ease.
And when you feel ready,
You can open your eyes,
Smile to yourself,
And know that all is well in your world.
