In this peaceful meditation, you and your baby will come together as one, in a relaxing and comforting setting. This meditation will help you feel confident, capable, safe, peaceful, and calm prior to the expected birth of your child. It is best to practice this meditation close to your due date and during labor. This is a special moment for you and your baby and I am grateful that you are giving yourself this relaxing gift.

My friend,

Welcome.

When you're ready,

Just allow yourself to settle into bed in a comfortable position.

Find a position that is comfortable for you and your baby.

Make sure your head is comfortable on the pillow and that you and baby feel ready to drift away to the soothing sound of my voice.

And then,

When you're comfortable,

You can begin to take some lovely,

Slow,

Deep breaths.

I want you to imagine the word slowly as you breathe in and the word deeply as you breathe out.

So now,

Breathing in slowly and breathing out deeply.

Let's do this one more time.

Breathe in slowly and breathe out deeply.

Allow your breath to find its own rhythm at a pace that feels right for you.

Breathing in that lovely oxygen for you and baby,

Erasing all stress and tension from the day,

You are giving yourself permission to relax and allow the outside world to fade away now.

This is your time to rest in comfort and safety.

Breathing slowly and deeply,

Begin to relax the muscles in your body now.

Let's start at the top of your head.

Just imagine the muscles becoming soft and loose and feeling so soft and relaxed.

Let your face become expressionless and there is no tension at all in your body or face.

You are just relaxing now.

As your eyelids feel so droopy and heavy,

You feel restful and relaxed in this way.

Your eyelids are heavy and it allows you to drift deeper and breathe easily and softly.

It's safe to let go now.

There is nothing to hold on to.

There is no one that needs you right now.

This is for just you and baby.

Continue to drift away to the sound of my soothing voice.

Moving down into the body,

The neck and shoulders,

Your arms and hands,

Feel yourself releasing and opening,

Allowing the energy to flow in through your chest and down into your belly.

You can imagine baby in your womb,

So warm and cozy,

Perfectly healthy and happy and calm and peaceful and that's because you feel calm and peaceful.

The muscles in your back now seem to really let go.

All discomfort in your body leaves your body now.

This gives you a deep sense of peace and relaxation.

Let's keep moving further down into your legs and feet,

Feeling how it feels to have your body relax in such peace and such harmony.

You feel at one with you and baby.

This feeling of peace allows you to drift to your safe place.

You can picture your special safe place now.

It may be in the forest or near the ocean.

It's a place that helps you feel so content,

Peaceful and abundant with love and calm.

This place gives you everything you need and every time you visit,

You feel calm,

Centered and peaceful.

Picture being so safe and comforting,

A perfect place for you to let go.

Picture this now.

All right,

Now feel baby deep in your belly.

You and him are together in this special safe place.

This place is anchored to so many wonderful feelings so that each time you come to this place,

It reminds you of your strength and courage.

It also allows you to attach to the feeling of calm and peace.

Feel how nice it feels to feel this way.

Now tell yourself,

I am calm,

Centered and peaceful.

I am calm,

Centered and peaceful.

I am calm,

Centered and peaceful.

Now picture your hips gently opening.

Feel all the love and happiness that fills your belly,

Knowing your beautiful child is waiting to meet you and all the tightness and tension in your body is simply your body getting ready to do what it is meant to do.

Feel how easy it is to just surrender and let go.

See yourself now clearly feeling calm,

Centered and peaceful.

When it's time to birth your baby,

Your body will feel so prepared and so ready.

You will feel open and fully dilated.

The inner walls of your body will be slippery and silky,

Allowing your baby to move down and through your body so calmly and easily.

You feel your own power with each sensation.

Each loving sensation you take a deep breath and drift away to your safe,

Special place.

Each sensation brings you closer and closer to meeting your beautiful baby.

Remember you are calm,

Centered and peaceful.

As you are about to crown,

Your body is opening up like a flower,

Stretching easily and calmly.

Your body knows what to do and it is easy.

You allow your breath to help the baby's head to crown.

There is nothing to force.

You just allow it to happen.

You feel so calm with every pushing sensation.

And as baby's head comes through,

You feel calm and powerful.

You then allow your body to push the rest of your baby through your body and you feel so open and so ready to meet your beautiful child.

You are calm and centered and peaceful.

You feel so incredibly happy and the love courses through your body like electricity.

This is unconditional love.

This is connection.

This is what your body does naturally.

Feel how incredible you are and allow this unique moment to be special,

Tranquil and just between you and baby.

Now drift off into a deep sleep,

Feeling so calm,

Centered and peaceful.

You also feel powerful and alive,

Confident in your body's ability to do what it's meant to do.

When it is time to birth your baby,

You will feel calm,

Centered and peaceful.

Enjoy this moment and drift away into a deep,

Deep sleep.

You're drifting off now,

Ready to enjoy a deep,

Peaceful and restful sleep.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.

Namaste.
