The world has been crazy in the last few years,
But as I write this podcast,
The team of Artemis II just returned safely back to Earth,
And they reminded us that they are our mirror of the joy train we can experience,
And I want to capture all of the little joyful moments I can in this phase of my life.
I love to engage with others in their menopause journey,
Because despite all of the many challenges,
It is also a time of wisdom,
Growth,
And strength.
This is about honoring all the women before me,
And all of the women after me.
Menopause is an outlet that can help heal your soul,
And be present in the experience.
I will now take you through a guided meditation.
At the end of the meditation,
You'll hear a soft bell.
It is important to come out of the meditation slowly,
And to take your time.
There's no rush.
I will be here guiding you through the entire process.
The theme of this meditation is presence.
Presence is the practice of being fully engaged with your current experience,
Physically,
Emotionally,
And mentally,
Rather than bracing against it,
Or mentally escaping it.
Mindfulness is about engaging your attention in the present moment,
On what you're experiencing without judgment.
Let us center our attention,
And bring awareness to the presence in this moment.
Let us begin this meditation mindfully,
As you become mindful of your body,
Mindful of your environment,
And as you maintain a gentle present moment focus.
Start by finding a comfortable position,
And let us settle into our breath.
Placing your feet flat on the ground,
With your hands resting comfortably in your lap.
Closing your eyes,
If you prefer,
And become present and relaxed in this moment.
Observe the sensation in the body,
And notice what you're thinking.
As you become more relaxed,
Notice the chatter of your mind starting to quiet.
When your mind wanders,
Come back to your breath,
In this present moment.
Being mindful of anything that might be getting in your way,
And letting it go on the next exhale breath.
Remembering it's okay to have thoughts,
And when a thought occurs,
Simply notice the thought without judgment,
And then let it go on the next exhale breath.
Explore this meditation with mindful curiosity,
As you become mindful of your body,
Mindful of your environment,
And as you maintain a present moment awareness.
Explore the sensations in your body mindfully,
With curiosity,
And without judgment.
Notice if you're feeling any aches or pains in a specific area.
Any numbness or tingling sensations.
Breathing into the sensation,
And letting it go on your exhale breath.
Again,
Breathing into the aches and pain sensation,
And letting it go as you exhale.
Mindfully engaging your attention in the present moment,
On what you're experiencing,
Without judgment.
Breathing into this present moment,
And exhaling into this present moment,
And letting it go on your exhale breath.
For this meditation,
Let us welcome everything,
And simply let go of any expectations.
Breathing into the present moment,
And exhaling into the present moment.
At any point during this meditation,
If your mind starts to wander,
Simply come back to your breath,
As an anchor of focus.
Remembering to be kind to yourself.
Start with a moment of presence.
Capture the wisdom in this present moment.
Capture the magic.
Honor your presence in this moment.
Notice where you feel the awareness in your body.
Observe your breath,
As you are fully present.
Capture the moment with your full attention.
Reflect in the present moment.
Observe your presence fully.
What do you notice?
How do you feel?
Pause and be still.
We'll take the next few moments in silence.
Giving you the opportunity to continue to focus on your breath.
As you mindfully maintain a gentle present moment awareness.
I will keep track of the time as we take these moments in silence.
Embrace your presence.
Embrace your wisdom.
And your strength.
Honoring who you are.
Keeping your eyes closed as we integrate back from the meditation.
Take as much time as you need to come out of the meditation slowly.
And mindfully.
Start by wiggling your toes or fingers.
Or any part of your body that feels right for you.
And when you're ready you can open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me in this meditation.
And I hope you enjoyed the experience.
May we honor the wisdom.
The strength.
The presence.
The light.
The joy.
And the peace.
In all of us.
Namaste.
