So I invite you to get a little space ready.
You may want to get some cushions and blankets,
Maybe light some incense or your favorite candle.
Something to signify to yourself that this is time for you,
This is sacred.
You may want to let other people in the house know not to disturb you and get a little nest ready.
And as and when you're ready I invite you to close your eyes and bring your awareness to the breath in the belly.
Just noticing that gentle rise and fall that happens automatically with no effort needed from you.
And we're not trying to control the breath in any way,
Not trying to control the breath,
Not trying to change it.
You're just going to get curious.
Noticing whether that rhythm is steady,
Whether it's creating a melody of its own.
Noticing if it moves deeply into the body or whether it's lighter,
More shallow.
Noticing if there's a texture to the breath.
Whether it glides in smoothly or whether it's more jittery today.
Just allowing all your focus to hone here and rest with the breath.
And if you notice that you get pulled away into thought or discomfort,
Distraction,
Know that's perfectly okay.
Just gently redirect your attention back to the breath in the belly.
And I invite you now to bring your attention to the lower half of your body and see if you can sense the weight of gravity that's pulling you down.
The heaviness of your legs being drawn to the earth.
Keeping you secure.
Keeping you grounded.
Keeping you connected.
Allow yourself to just sit in that space of noticing this weight,
This heaviness,
This heaviness that's being pulled down in this lower half of the body.
And then see if you can notice the duality of this compared to the top half of your body.
And notice the sense of lightness,
Of being pulled up.
The energy pulling you towards the sky.
And notice if there's any areas that feel tight or tense.
This lightness just floods into those parts of the body,
Releasing and relaxing,
Creating ease.
This upper half of your torso.
Feel the space within.
This lightness carrying you towards the sky.
You may notice your chest starts to open a little bit more.
Your shoulders move away from the ears.
Your jaw begins to loosen.
And the tension melts away from the brow,
The neck.
Everything is left feeling soft and light.
And placing your hand on your heart space now,
I invite you to bring to mind all of the things that you are truly grateful for.
Maybe the people in your life,
The beautiful things in your home,
The cozy blankets and cushions,
The candles,
The incense that you've lit.
Maybe the food in your fridge.
Or the beautiful sunrise and sunset that we get to witness every day.
The trees as they're turning different shades.
And those warming drinks that we get to make ourselves to warm us up as the wind becomes chillier.
Now all of the things you're grateful for to flood into your mind.
And I invite you to notice how this feeling of love and gratitude feels in your body.
What sensation does it create?
Is there a warmth,
A tingling?
Where does that feeling of gratitude live?
What shape does it possess?
How big or small is this sensation?
And I invite you to see if you can allow that feeling to expand and grow and get stronger.
See if you can move that energy around your body till it's flooding into every single cell of your being.
Becoming more and more powerful.
Becoming even stronger now.
Till you can just feel this love and gratitude radiating from you.
Permeating outwards into the universe.
And taking a moment now to consider if there's anyone you want to send this love and gratitude to.
Sending it out to them now.
Directing it towards them.
Imagining it,
Filling up their heart space,
Filling up their body.
And taking a moment now to send out that love and gratitude to the other people listening with you.
They might be listening now or at a different time.
But imagine floating that love and gratitude out to everyone sharing this meditation with you.
Again imagining it filling up their heart space,
Moving into every cell of their being.
And now utilising this energy you've created and considering what's your intention for today.
How do you want to show up?
How do you want to feel?
Who do you want to be?
Imagining the day unfolding.
With you in this most beautiful energy that you're embodying.
Notice how you talk to people.
How you respond instead of react.
How you make decisions easily from a place of self-confidence.
Imagine the day unfolding just as you planned.
And when things go a little bit off plan,
Noticing how you handle that with ease and grace.
Effortlessly addressing challenges.
And setting this intention deeply in your heart space now.
Planting it like a seed ready to grow and blossom as the day unfolds.
And as and when you're ready,
Consciously bringing this energy with you,
This energy of love.
Slowly open your eyes and come back into the space.
