Welcome to the Heart Temple Meditation.
Begin by finding a nice comfortable seat.
You will want to stay seated,
Relaxed but alert for the entirety of this process today.
When you are ready,
Begin to bring your attention to your breath.
There's nothing to do,
There's nothing to change,
Just bringing your attention back to the here and now by becoming aware of this beautiful breath.
With each exhalation,
Becoming a little more present,
A little more here,
A little more aware of the feelings and sensations within your body.
Now with each exhalation,
A wave of relaxation is going to move from the tip of your head all the way through your body down to your little toe.
You can either see,
Sense or feel the words,
Relax.
The body is the happy servant of your consciousness.
So with grace and kindness and authority,
You can command your body to relax now and it will happily and joyfully oblige.
And now in your mind's eye,
I want you to imagine a nice juicy red apple.
See if you can see the beautiful shiny red colour of this apple.
It may even have a little stem and a little green leaf,
A picture perfect red apple.
Imagine what it would feel like to reach out and hold this apple.
Feel it in your hand now,
The size,
The shape,
The texture,
You can even imagine what it would sound like to bite into this apple and what it would taste like to chew on this beautiful,
Perfect apple and when you're ready,
You can let this apple go now.
The next image you're going to bring into your mind's eye is a little blue bird.
Imagine its feathers,
Its wings,
Maybe you can see its feet,
Have a look at its beak,
Maybe it's chirping.
Just in your imagination,
See this blue bird now.
And when you're ready,
This little bird is going to open its wings,
It's going to push off with its feet and it's going to fly into the distance and eventually out of sight.
And finally,
I want you to imagine a big beautiful tree growing up out of the ground and reaching to the heavens.
I want you to pay attention to its trunk,
Maybe you can reach out and feel it,
Feel the texture of the bark,
See all the different colors and patterns and as you look up,
Witness all the branches of this tree and notice all the different green leaves,
So many different types of green,
Light green and dark green and if you pay extra attention,
You'll start to see the veins and the markings in the leaves,
So beautiful,
So big,
So wise.
Maybe you can even sense the wisdom of this tree.
Now there is a breeze,
Moving through the leaves,
Can you see this breeze now,
Rustling the leaves,
Maybe you can hear them.
And when you're ready,
You can thank this tree as it slowly starts to disappear.
The reason you're imagining these items is that it's unlocking a part of the brain that deals with memory,
Color and imagination.
This will help us on our journey today.
And now I want you to bring your attention to your heart,
And I want you to imagine a beautiful white light,
Shining out from your heart in every direction.
Imagine this light,
Radiating out from you now.
This light will create a bubble of light and love,
All around you.
This is a filtration energy,
That means that everything that will come into your conscious today is perfect,
Aligned and exactly what you need to see,
Sense or reclaim.
This light will remain with you and around you for the remainder of this journey.
All the sounds and the activity of the world outside this light will dissipate and fade into the background now.
Nothing outside of you will disturb your peace or bother you for the remainder of this journey.
Here is when you begin to notice a path.
It could be a garden path,
A paved path,
A mountain path.
I want you to begin walking down this path now.
And as you are walking,
A sense of lightness,
Joy and anticipation begins to fill your body.
You can feel that you are going somewhere beautiful.
If you look down this path in the distance,
You see the silhouette of an incredible building.
Maybe it's a temple.
Maybe it's a palace.
Maybe it's a jungle tree house.
This is the temple of your heart.
This is the metaphorical image of the safest,
Most beautiful,
Most innocent,
Precious place within sight of you.
And together we are going to walk there now.
As you are walking,
See,
Sense or feel the beauty,
The majesty,
The brilliance of this space.
Maybe surrounding it is the most beautiful garden.
Allow your imagination and your consciousness to present this image to you now.
This is your safe place.
It has never been touched,
Never been harmed,
And it never lost its exquisite innocence.
And when you are ready,
You can approach this space,
And you can go inside and begin to explore what this place is for you.
Maybe it's a sultan's palace.
Maybe it's just infinite nature,
Or maybe it's a medieval castle.
Just allow your inner intuition,
Your imagination,
Your spirit,
Present this wondrous,
Beautiful heart temple to you.
And for a few moments,
We're going to play here.
You can explore what's in this space.
What does it smell like?
Maybe there's cooking,
Or maybe there's flowers.
What does it feel like to be here?
This is your space.
Untouchable.
Something that can never be taken away.
And what would you do here?
Would you rest?
Would you laugh?
Would you ride a lion?
Whatever it is,
Spend some time exploring,
And playing,
And discovering this space now.
Once you feel like you have a pretty good sense of what this place feels like and looks like for you,
We're going to begin to leave this space now.
Firstly,
I want you to go to the doors,
However those doors might look like,
And I want you to open them up.
These are the front doors of your castle,
Your heart temple.
You're going to open them.
And you're going to look at this beautiful space surrounding your temple,
So light,
So abundant,
So beautiful,
So healthy,
And colorful,
And vibrant.
And you're going to notice another path,
A path you haven't seen before.
There's a sign.
It says exit.
And with curiosity,
You leave the space of your heart temple now,
And you begin to walk down this path.
You walk through your garden,
Further and further away from your heart's temple.
Eventually,
You come to the edge of your garden.
And you know that you haven't been down this path before,
But you know that the time is right,
And that you must keep going.
You take a big,
Deep breath,
And you continue,
Moving further and further away from your heart's temple,
Away from the light that is surrounding this space.
Deeper and deeper into the unknown.
Eventually,
You make it to the end of this path,
And you notice a big fence all around you,
Covered in vines,
Completely overgrown.
But just through these vines,
You can make out that there is a gate,
And you can see that it is padlocked and bolted and chained.
You begin to remove the vines.
You don't know why,
But all of a sudden,
You put your hand in your pocket,
And you pull out the key.
It's been with you this whole time,
Curious about what you might have locked outside of these walls.
You start to unlock the bolts,
Pull them apart,
And remove the chains,
Until you're standing in front of this gate.
And in whatever way works for you,
You begin to yank it open.
Once it's open,
Again,
You take another breath,
And you either step,
Fly,
Jump,
Or teleport through to the other side.
At first,
You might not know what you're looking at,
But as we venture deeper,
It will reveal itself to you.
This space is your own subconscious,
And in this space are many parts and aspects of yourself.
That you either rejected,
Pushed out,
Abandoned,
Or had taken from you at some point during your life.
In here are the parts of yourself that you haven't been willing to face until now.
And so with bravery,
Courage,
And a deep sense of adventure and readiness,
Begin to walk into this space now.
And allow this space to reveal itself to you,
Whatever you see,
Once again.
That's correct.
Maybe it's a dirty city.
Maybe it's a deep,
Dark forest.
Maybe it's a desert.
Or maybe it's just a fog.
Whatever it is,
Begin walking through this space now,
Trusting that your intuition and your inner guidance system know exactly how and where to guide you,
In order to help you find and reclaim as part of yourself an aspect of yourself that has either been pushed out,
Rejected,
Disowned,
Or simply taken away from you and is now lost or trapped within your subconscious.
Knowing that consciousness does not make mistakes,
That you are here for a reason,
And that you are ready to meet and reclaim whatever you find today.
In just a moment,
You're going to meet this part.
And so just take one last breath,
And relax one last time.
As you are guided,
Not needing to understand why or how or where,
To the perfect metaphorical image of an aspect of yourself.
And in 3,
2,
1,
You find this part now.
Now whatever has turned up for you,
Whatever you see,
Is perfect.
Maybe this part of yourself looks like you,
Maybe they don't.
Maybe it's physical,
Or maybe you can just sense it.
Just trust.
Whatever it is that you have found is perfect.
Begin by feeling what it is you are in the presence of.
Just notice how you feel,
Witnessing or sensing whatever has turned up for you now.
Not trying to understand it,
Not trying to figure anything out,
Just witness.
Just feel.
Maybe you know what this part is immediately,
Maybe you don't.
That's okay.
At a deeper level,
You know exactly why you're here,
And you do know exactly what you're looking at.
From the depths of your heart,
You're now going to ask this part,
Who are you?
Before it answers,
Together we're going to shift into this part,
Because it is an aspect of you.
And in order for this part to answer fully and completely,
It will be easier for you to shift into it,
And answer from the perspective and the experience of this part.
This is very easy to do.
All you're going to do is with your imagination,
Imagine swinging around and stepping into the body or the experience of this part.
So that you now are looking back at yourself as this part.
As you shift into it,
You may notice that your body,
Your posture,
Your feelings,
Want to change or shift.
Allow your body,
Your posture,
To take on the feeling of this part of yourself.
And from here you can watch yourself ask you the question,
Who are you?
And now as this part,
You have the opportunity to respond.
For the next few moments,
You're going to speak to yourself about who you are as this part.
Share this with yourself now.
Now that you've had the opportunity to share with yourself about who you are as this part,
You're going to effortlessly and easily shift back into yourself,
Looking at this part.
This has given you a deeper insight into what this part is,
Both experientially and psychologically.
Here you can ask this part,
What does it need from you?
And the answer will be very simple.
Feel for the most simple answer.
Maybe it needs to be seen,
To be acknowledged.
Maybe it needs a hug.
Maybe your understanding.
Maybe it needs some kindness.
Or maybe it just needs to feel safe.
Whatever it is,
We're going to begin the healing journey now.
In whatever way feels most appropriate and aligned for you,
I want you to take this part by the hand,
Or pick it up,
Or just communicate with it to come with you now,
Because it's time to take this part back into the temple space of your heart.
And so either pick it up,
Hold its hand,
Or call for it to follow you.
And with kindness,
With love,
With understanding,
Begin your journey back towards the gate surrounding the heart temple now.
And as we're heading there,
Let me remind you that sometimes we push our parts out into the subconscious,
Hoping that they may starve to death and eventually disappear,
Hoping that we don't have to see them,
That we don't have to deal with them,
That we don't have to reclaim them,
Because we have been taught that they are dangerous,
Unsafe,
And need to be feared.
But this is the opposite of the truth.
Nothing in this universe can be starved to death.
There is no such thing as death,
And this is not the pathway to happiness.
Whilst keeping some parts out protected you as a child,
Keeping them in the subconscious mind,
Hoping that they will disappear or starve to death,
Will only cause pain.
And now you're ready to do it differently.
And so with pride,
Bring this part of yourself to the gate,
And with all the love in your heart,
Take it through.
It doesn't matter if it's sad,
Or weak,
Or ugly.
Maybe it's emaciated,
Angry,
Rageful.
It does not matter.
Love does not abandon any part.
No matter how small,
Or dark,
Or sad it may be,
Love brings it inside.
And this is what you are doing now.
Bring this part of you inside the gates of your heart,
And let it feel,
Maybe for the first time,
The beauty,
And the brilliance,
And the light of the garden that surrounds this temple of yours.
And at first it may not believe that you're going to let it stay,
But it's your job to communicate with it that there is enough space here.
You did not come here to starve yourself for love.
You did not come here to abandon the parts of you that need your gentle love,
Care,
And attention more than anything.
That's not who you are.
You are the infinite space of love.
You are kind.
You are compassionate.
And you are abundant.
And so bring this part of you in now,
And let the light of your heart start to wash away its fears,
And the suffering that it has felt for such a long time.
Believing that it's bad,
Unworthy,
Wrong,
A mistake,
Incorrect,
Not good enough,
Whatever it may be for you.
And say to this part,
This is only just the beginning.
Come,
Come,
Come into the temple of my heart.
Now take this part with you all the way into the temple.
It doesn't matter if it's dirty,
Wearing tattered clothes,
Or smelly,
Or emaciated.
The kindness within your heart brings in the beggar,
Brings in the exhausted,
Tired,
Starving parts.
And says,
Please be my guest.
Come inside.
Let me clean you.
Let me wash you.
Let me find you some new clothes.
Let me prepare something for you to eat.
And so now inside of this place,
This space of infinite abundance,
Begin to meet this part's needs with so much love.
Feed it whatever it wants to eat.
Create a banquet.
Shower it with so much care and kindness.
Maybe it's covered in scratches,
Bruises from being beaten by the subconscious thoughts of unworthiness and unkindness.
Now it's time to heal.
Take the time that is needed to do this.
Maybe this part is exhausted.
Find the best room in this temple space of your heart and give it to this part.
From the depths of your heart,
Whatever it means to look after this part now,
Do that.
Whatever it means to nourish it,
To feed it,
To meet its basic needs,
Do that now.
And as you're doing this,
Feel what it feels like to treat yourself like this.
This aspect that you are bringing in now is still a part of God,
A forgotten part of God.
And if you knew this was God inside your own heart,
And this aspect of consciousness was in such deep need of your love and your kindness,
How would you do it?
Do this now.
And however you do it,
It's perfect.
The expression of love from your heart to this aspect of self,
This aspect of God,
Is perfect and it will be unique to you.
You have a few minutes to do this now.
Healing is not about fixing something that you perceive to be broken.
It's about transforming the relationship that you have with yourself.
And this might take some time.
When you push parts of yourself out of the temple of your heart,
It might take a moment for them to trust you again.
To know that you're not going to try and get rid of them.
That you're not going to try and change them.
And that this act of kindness isn't temporary.
And so let time be your friend in this reclaiming process.
It's about caring enough to take the time that's necessary to rebuild a relationship with yourself.
To allow the parts that are starving and that you have judged as inadequate,
Wrong or bad to come inside and to be transformed by your love.
Your abundant,
Eternal,
Infinite love And the beauty of this experience is that you can see no matter what these parts are there is enough space in the temple of your heart for them.
And if they need to go through a process of shock,
Of sadness,
Of anger they can do it here.
And you can hold them.
Now something that you may not have realized is that you can learn from these parts of yourself.
So once again,
Go and find this specific part that you're working with today and let's go sit with it somewhere inside this temple.
And let's learn a little about the gift that it's bringing you.
Here is where you get to ask this part some questions.
Not just who are you but how are you helping me?
What are you helping me to learn about myself?
How did you help me in the past?
It may be as simple as it's teaching you about the beauty of unconditional love now.
But it could have any answer.
And whatever the answer is it's correct for you.
So again,
Take some time now to ask the questions.
How are you helping me?
What is your superpower?
And how can we work together as a team to recreate our life?
So that we are working in harmony and having more fun together.
You have a few moments to ask these questions now and feel for the answers.
You know the answers.
Remember both parts are you.
You already know why you are creating this exact experience and what it is you are going to be taking out of it.
Open up and receive these lessons and this deeper understanding now.
Now that you have a sense of the superpower of this part of how this part has helped you and what you are learning from it as well as how you can have more fun together I want you to reach out and just put your arms around this aspect of yourself and as deeply as you can thanking it thanking it for playing this role so perfectly for being willing to split itself off from you and to go deep into its own character so that you could have this realization and this moment of understanding now.
Without these parts you could not you would not be able to expand and to come to know what it feels like to unconditionally accept and love yourself which is the point of being here to come to know yourself in an experience and it can only happen through the reclamation of yourself.
So hold this part hold it until you can feel the light of your heart embracing it and feel how it warms up both of you both lighting you up the power of love the most bonding force in all of existence without needing it to be anything other than it is if you begin to feel a shift a transformation of sorts just allow it no need to understand it just let this transform you both let it move through the cells of your body let it change your biology let this rewire your nervous system let this upgrade happen and as you end this hug you come to the most important question of all looking at this part of yourself one final time you may now ask it would you like to stay here inside the temple of my heart playing exploring basking in the abundance of love or would you like to merge with me and become one to become as one so that you are no longer a separate aspect of myself and then you have to free this part to answer whatever it would like both answers are correct if it would like to stay a little bit separate playing and exploring inside the temple of your heart then honor that request nothing is truly separate and it will always be a part of you it will just play in the illusion of separation for fun but now it will be conscious and this will not cause any pain if however it would like to merge and become one with you this is equally as beautiful it is not better than staying in the temple space it's just whatever your highest excitement is and whatever you're ready for if you try and force your part to do one or the other then you are still making the statement that you would like to control it just a little bit no need for that just honor whichever answer it has and so if the answer is yes I would like to merge and become one this is so simple this part will just step into your body spin around and sit in your space as you and both energies will merge it will not disappear and you will not disappear but the energy will transform becoming something new a more integrated version of who you really are allowing this part to become part of who you are as oneness this may take a moment if this is what your choice is and so just allow this coming together this merging to happen universe knows exactly what to do you don't have to force it you just make the choice and it will begin to happen now taking one last deep breath and honoring whichever choice you have made and begin to move your body your physical body wiggling your toes,
Your fingers just letting yourself integrate this experience into the cells of your body becoming aware of the room around you starting to breathe a little more deeply you can begin to stretch your hands your feet and any other muscle that you're becoming aware of now these experiences are powerful and they're designed to change you but the change is always beautiful because it's a change into a higher version of yourself a more integrated version whether the part is playing in your heart or has become one with you you are a little bit different and so slowly as you come back into the room you can start to flicker your eyes open and as you do know that you're coming back differently taking the room from this new perspective as a slightly more whole and complete version of yourself when you shift internally when you make a change internally the external world will begin to change it may not look different but it will begin to feel different and your interactions with this beautiful physical world will be different because you are different you have reclaimed an aspect of yourself you now have access to its superpower and you can now walk around this world a little more loving,
A little more whole,
And a little more compassionate both towards yourself and others.
