Welcome to Healing the Wounded Heart,

A trauma-informed guided meditation.

This meditation is designed to gently guide you through a healing process,

Creating a safe space for self-compassion and inner peace.

Remember that you are in control of your experience and it is okay to pause or stop at any time if you feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable.

Please find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down,

And gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth,

Allowing your body to relax and settle into this moment.

As you breathe,

Imagine a warm,

Nurturing light surrounding you,

Creating a protective cocoon of safety and comfort.

This light is a symbol of love,

Support,

And healing,

And it will be with you throughout this meditation.

Now,

Slowly bring your attention to your heart,

Your heart center,

The area in the middle of your chest.

As you breathe in,

Visualize your heart being filled with the warm,

Healing light.

With each exhale,

Imagine any pain or tension held in your heart,

Gently dissolving and being carried away by the light.

It is natural for difficult emotions or memories to arise during this process.

If you encounter such emotions or memories,

Remember that you are safe and that you are in a safe space,

Surrounded by the protective light.

Acknowledge these feelings with compassion,

Without judgment,

And allow them to flow through you,

Releasing them with each breath.

If at any point you feel overwhelmed,

Return your focus to your breath and the protective light surrounding you.

Remember that you are in control of this experience and can pause or stop at any time.

As you continue to breathe and connect with your heart center,

Repeat the following affirmations,

Silently or out loud.

I am safe and protected.

I honor my honor my emotions and experiences.

I am worthy of healing and love.

My heart is resilient and strong.

Allow these affirmations to resonate with you,

Reinforcing your commitment to healing and self-compassion.

When you feel ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to your breath,

Feeling the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.

Slowly expand your awareness to the space around you,

And when you feel comfortable,

Gently open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me in this trauma-informed meditation.

Remember to be gentle with yourself and continue to nurture your heart as you move forward on your healing journey.
