Welcome to the Autumn Equinox Meditation.
When you're ready,
Find a comfortable position and settle in.
Feel free to sit or lie down,
Whatever's comfortable for you.
The Autumn Equinox marks the time of year where darkness begins to be greater than light.
Just like the trees shed their leaves and fall,
We too must shed what is no longer serving us.
We do that by going within,
Into our hearts and into our subconscious.
It is here that we can discover what we must let go,
As well as how we might do so.
Take a moment to arrive.
Breathe in.
And as you release that breath,
Let yourself let go.
Allow your gaze to relax and release any tension from your eyes and jaw.
Breathe into your heart.
And as you breathe out,
Let your heart soften.
Notice the rise and fall of your abdomen.
As you breathe in and out,
Allow any tension to melt away.
Gently and with care,
With each in-breath and each out-breath,
Allow yourself to come into peace,
Presence,
And relaxation.
Imagine the space around you being filled with bright,
Healing,
Golden light.
This light is filled with love and elevates the energy within and around you for the highest and best good.
Breathe in this light.
And as you breathe out,
Release any grayish energy from your body.
Allow the light around you to absorb and transmute that energy.
Now visualize energy from the core of the earth coming up through the layers of rock,
Up through the dirt and stones,
Up through the ground beneath your building,
The ground beneath your feet,
And traveling up through your feet and into your body.
Breathe this powerful,
Grounding energy in.
And as you breathe out,
Release any grayish energy from your being.
Allow the earth energy to absorb and transmute this energy.
You are now rooted and grounded in the earth,
Aligned and connected to above,
And centered in your highest self.
And from this place in front of you,
You see a doorway.
There's a beautiful door that opens,
Inviting you in where you see a descending stairway.
You cross the threshold and follow the stairs down,
Down below.
You keep walking down,
Step by step,
Descending further and further down the stairway,
Further down,
Down you go,
Until you reach the final step.
Where another door lies in front of you,
And as you reach for the handle and open the door,
You step out into a beautiful enchanted forest.
You look around and take in the sights and sounds of the forest.
Not too far away,
You notice a little cottage nestled into the woods,
With smoke rising from a little chimney and warm lights shining from the windows.
You are drawn to this cottage and make your way there.
As you near the cottage,
The door gently opens as if in anticipation of your arrival,
And your wise being here as your guide greets you with a warm smile.
They invite you in,
And there's a cozy little nook prepared just for you.
They gesture for you to sit and make yourself comfortable.
You look around,
Taking in the sights,
Aromas,
And sounds that fill the air around you.
Your wise being sits with you,
Ready to offer their guidance and assistance.
Ask them,
What are you ready to let go of in your life now?
Listen to what they share with you.
Listen to what they share with you.
After they've shared this wisdom with you,
The guide then asks you to think of a memory from your youth,
One that you're proud of,
Where you naturally overcame a challenging situation.
They tell you that it doesn't have to be a big thing that you faced.
It can be something simple.
They ask you to recall what technique,
Quality,
Or trait you used in approaching the situation,
Something that just came to you,
That you didn't have to think about,
Didn't have to learn something new or seek help on,
Something that was just innate within you.
The wise being says that this attribute or skill that you have is something to be cherished,
Nurtured,
And remembered.
It's natural to you and can help you release what you need to release and conserve you in your waking life.
When you face a challenging moment or situation,
Remember that you already have within you all that you need to weather the storm,
To cross the chasm,
Or to just take the next step.
It's within you,
Dear one.
You turn and thank the guardian deeply from your heart.
And as you rise to leave,
The wise being walks you to the door.
They give you a slight squeeze on your shoulder and see you out.
And as you walk away from the cottage and back toward the stairway through the forest,
You turn and see the wise being waving from the doorway.
You reach the stairs and make your way back up.
You ascend the stairs and follow them up,
Up above.
Step by step,
You make your way up,
Rising further and further up the stairway until you reach the top of the steps.
The beautiful door lies in front of you once again and you step through.
Take a deep cleansing breath into your whole body.
Breathe the love into your heart and breathe the love out of your heart.
As you breathe in and out,
Gently with honor and gratitude for yourself,
For the wise being,
And the knowledge you now have,
Slowly begin to come back into your body.
Arrive back into this time and space and begin to move your fingers and toes.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
