Welcome to this breathwork in bed practice,
Suitable for beginners,
Intermediates,
Or anybody who could use a little bit of support and holding a space as they lean in and rekindle the life-affirming connection we have to the phenomena which we call the breath.
I invite you to allow my voice and the power of the music to support the highest intention which is for the breath and the wisdom of the body to be the teacher and let the breath be the guide.
Begin gently activating the inhale,
Exhale,
And in these connected breaths we're going to bring our awareness to the inhale and connecting it to the exhale,
Beginning to form and maybe even visualize a circle.
You can imagine this circle within the landscape of your body,
Connecting it to the feeling of expansion and contraction in your diaphragm,
Your belly,
And the cavity around the chest in the back.
Allow yourself to explore receiving and working with the feeling,
The sensation that accompanies the breath filling the body,
Trusting that this deep-seated intelligence,
This wisdom within the body will guide the cadence and the intensity of your breathing.
For now continuing to focus on connecting the inhale,
Exhale,
Allowing yourself to be curious about the thresholds of how much breath it's possible to take in as you continue to breathe,
Connecting the inhale to the exhale,
Welcoming the phenomenon which is the breath,
The phenomenon of the breath and the body working and moving together to be the teacher.
As you continue to breathe,
Welcome some motion into the body as you imagine the circle which is the connecting the inhale and the exhale,
Moving your awareness to areas in the body that are asking for attention,
Bringing breath,
Awareness,
And your capacity to feel and sense.
And as you sense your own capacity to deepen in your inhale and exhale,
The invitation is to feel in it if we could further invigorate this a little more,
And if not,
Trusting the wisdom,
The guidance which is the breath and the body working together and adopting a comfortable pace for yourself.
As you continue to connect the inhale to the exhale,
With each and every breath,
We affirm the connection to the source of life,
Coming and going,
Arising and returning.
With each and every breath,
I'm open to explore the phenomenon,
This feeling that accompanies the sensation of the breath filling my being.
With each and every breath,
I trust a little easier,
A little more deeply,
The wisdom of my body and the breath working together.
With each and every breath,
I know I am aligning myself to my truest potential,
My soul's purpose,
And the highest,
Clearest expression of my true self.
With each and every breath,
I receive this gift of life on this day.
And with each and every breath,
I'm open to receiving and giving exactly what I need to live my best life.
For with each and every breath,
I relish in my unbroken connection to the source of all life,
The source of all creation.
And with each and every breath,
I'm open to rekindling,
Remembering,
The feeling of being in awe of the gift of this body,
This bio-magnetic miracle,
With all of its systems,
Its organs,
Its autonomy,
Its energetic channels and pathways and centers.
And with each and every breath,
I know I am aligning myself to the frequency,
To the feelings,
Emotions,
And consciousness,
To the paradigm,
Which is the deep fulfillment of my soul's purpose,
The highest evolution of my soul in this human experience.
With each and every breath,
I receive this gift,
Which is life,
And everything that life continues to offer.
With each and every breath,
I remember how to allow this intelligence of life,
The phenomenon of life,
To flow through me,
A unique expression,
A one-of-a-kind expression of creation.
With each and every breath,
I know that my life,
My body,
This awareness,
This consciousness,
Is a miracle unto its own.
And I know with each and every breath,
By simply knowing this,
I align the path and affirm the journey,
Just for my greatest and highest good,
The greatest and highest good of all those around me,
And all those that I'm in relationship with.
Listening to how the cadence of your breath is naturally changing and shifting,
And knowing that this practice is going to be coming to its conclusion in its own way and in its own time.
Just listen for when to begin to relinquish any control,
Any effort over the breath,
Just to feel,
Sense,
Notice whatever there is to notice,
Enjoying the merits of your practice today.
As you take some moments in reflection,
Offer yourself some gratitude,
Feeling and sensation of self-love,
Knowing that you made the time to practice today,
And that it's okay to receive a little bit of support in order for us to continue our practice.
Take some time now to integrate changes in your awareness after this practice,
And prepare to transition for the next part of the day.
