Welcome to the St John's Wort meditation.
Before we get started you might like to have a glass of St John's Wort tea or have a few drops of the St John's Wort flower essence or connect with a St John's plant if you have one growing.
You don't need to connect with St John's Wort in this way as during the meditation I will guide you through the energies of this beautiful plant.
But if you would like to deepen your experience please take some time now to connect with the plant in your own way.
Let's begin by finding ourselves in a seated position either sitting on the floor or sitting in a chair with the feet planted firmly into the floor.
Close down the eyes now and begin to bring your awareness to the breath.
Inhaling and exhaling through the nostrils.
Just begin to breath into the diaphragm,
The lungs,
Completely filling those breathing chambers before exhaling and completely releasing.
Just take a few breaths here,
Breathing in deeply and completely releasing on the exhale,
Completely emptying those breathing chambers.
If your mind wanders throughout the meditation you can always bring your awareness back to the breath to centre yourself.
And as you sit here feel your connection to the earth beneath you.
Feel the nurturing energy of Mother Earth and feel the connection that we all have to Mother Earth.
As humans who walk upon the earth are connected to all animals and plants,
Even the sea life,
The oceans,
We are all connected.
Sink into this feeling of connectedness,
Knowing that we are all connected.
And feel that bliss of being connected and knowing that you are not alone.
Bring your awareness to your third eye chakra now,
The space between your brows.
And releasing some deep purple energy into this third eye space.
Visualising this chakra,
This spinning disc of purple energy.
And as you connect with your third eye space,
You find yourself sitting in a sunny field,
The beautiful warm sun,
Filling your body with warmth and love and joy.
You feel that warmth radiating on your skin,
Your arms,
Your hands,
Your legs and your feet.
You feel that warmth spreading right into the centre of your body,
Moving on up through the spine,
Up through the neck and into the head.
Filling your face with warmth.
And as you bring your awareness to the field that you are sitting in,
You notice all these sunny flowers that surround you.
These yellow flowers are St.
John's Wort.
Beautiful yellow flowers that also embody that warmth and joy from the sun.
St.
John's Wort has a beautiful connection to the energy of the sun.
Both the sun and St.
John's Wort can fill you with this warm energy,
With happiness,
With contentment and with bliss.
You reach out and touch the St.
John's Wort flowers with your hands,
Feeling the softness of the flowers,
Observing the leaves as they trail down the stalk.
The stalk rooted firmly in the ground.
You feel so connected to St.
John's Wort because you too are also rooted firmly in the ground,
Connected to Mother Earth just as St.
John's Wort is.
You are connected to these feelings of happiness and bliss.
But sometimes you might lose sight of that happiness.
And you need a gentle reminder that your bliss is always there.
Your happiness is always there.
You can always reach out to this positive energy.
Let St.
John's Wort brighten your day and remind you of the things that make you happy.
The things that fill you with joy.
Bring to mind something that does bring you so much pleasure and happiness.
What's something that you can commit time to doing that will bring you positivity and happiness?
I'll give you a moment here now so you can visualize that pleasurable activity and really sink into that feeling of bliss and happiness.
Let me give you a moment here.
Keep that feeling of bliss and happiness inside you.
Don't lose that feeling of bliss.
Remember that you can always find that happiness and satisfaction.
It's always within your reach.
Still sitting in this field of St.
John's Wort,
You reach out now and ask permission from a flower to take this flower with you.
If the plant gives you permission,
You can take the flower or part of the plant and place it in your solar plexus chakra just above your navel.
If the plant doesn't give you permission this time,
That's okay.
Know that you've still surrounded yourself with the energy of this healing and positive plant.
Bring your awareness now to your solar plexus chakra,
This spinning disk of yellow light situated in the center of your abdomen,
Above the navel and below the ribs.
This is your home of courage and power.
And St.
John's Wort gives you that courage to follow your happiness,
To follow your bliss.
You know that you can shine your light.
You know that you can follow this happiness.
Don't let clouds of negativity block you from following this happiness.
We're going to slowly bring our attention back to the present moment now.
But know that you can still bring that energy of St.
John's Wort with you.
And you can always reconnect with the energy of this beautiful plant whenever you need to.
Through this meditation,
Through visualization or through connecting physically with the plant.
Take a deep inhalation now and exhale completely,
Releasing the breath.
Bring your awareness now to your fingers and toes.
Give them a little wiggle.
And when you are ready,
You may open your eyes and continue your day with bliss and happiness.
