Sometimes in life we become so overwhelmed by what we think our life should look or feel like.

But if we come back to gratitude and to our souls for just five minutes,

We can see how much good we are already surrounded by.

Grab yourself a pen and paper for the end of this meditation to really get the most out of this and find yourself a comfortable seat.

You can pop a blanket or cushion under yourself to keep your spine upright and comfortable,

But feel free to sit however feels the best.

Gently close your eyes and take a nice long in-breath all the way in through your nose,

Fill your belly.

And gently breathe it out through your mouth.

Enjoy taking some long slow breaths.

Breathing into the count of four if you'd like and out to the count of four,

Making the breath nice and even.

Gently lift your hands onto your heart,

Place your right hand down first with your left on top.

And feel your chest gently lift and lower with every inhale and every exhale.

Begin to see a beautiful ball of light shining just above your heart.

And as it shines,

It warms your heart.

With every inhale,

Breathe the ball of light into your heart and let it rest through your chest.

On your exhale,

Expand the light to fill your entire body.

Inhale,

And it gently caresses your body.

Exhale and let the light shine into the room you're in.

Inhale and bring the light back into your heart,

Let it warm your chest.

On your next exhale,

Allow the light to travel to your coast family and friends and let it touch their hearts.

Inhale and bring it all the way back in.

Exhale and now send the light out to cover and surround everyone you've met or seen recently.

Inhale,

Draw it all the way back in,

Feel it through your heart and your chest.

And as you breathe out,

Send it to people nearby and those you've crossed paths with.

Inhale once more to bring it all the way in,

Feeling that warmth.

Exhale and send your light to everyone in the country and the space you're in.

Once more,

Inhale,

Draw it all the way back into yourself,

Feeling everyone's beautiful energy.

Exhale and finally spread your light all over the world,

Touching and shining on everyone and everything in this planet.

And with this gorgeous light you're spreading from your heart,

Begin to think of everything you're grateful for.

Everything you appreciate,

Everything that makes you feel happy.

It can be anything from the floor you're sitting on to a beautiful goal you've achieved.

Sit and think of 10 things you're grateful for.

And after each one,

Silently say thank you.

Allow that feeling of gratitude in.

Feel that appreciation and sit with it until you can feel some sort of physical reaction.

It might come instantly,

It might even take a few hours or days.

But with a little practice that feeling of gratitude will instantly bring in joy and abundance.

Sit with this feeling for a little while longer.

And when you're ready,

Bring a gentle smile to your face if there isn't one already.

And blink your eyes open.

Grab your pen and your paper and write down 10 or more things you're grateful for.

Thank you and I hope your day continues to show you everything to be thankful of.
