Managing anxiety through meditation and mindfulness and breaking negative thought patterns. Learn how to manage anxiety through meditation and self-reflection. In this guided meditation, you will practise grounding techniques to calm the mind and body using gentle awareness and relaxation in the body to combat overwhelm. As the mind quietens down the thoughts become less intrusive in a state of calm. If you’re not careful, you can add to the anxiety, which is what the Buddha called the second arrow. An event might upset you or trigger a negative emotion. There's no good or bad about it. It only becomes a problem when you start adding layers, and thoughts on top of that, and the mind gets involved.
