Welcome.
It's still night.
The world has grown quiet and here you're gently held.
There is nowhere you need to go and nothing you need to solve.
The night has a way of holding what the day could not.
The conversations that linger.
The emotions still moving through you.
The thoughts that haven't yet settled.
Instead of pushing them away or trying to make sense of everything right now,
You are invited to simply arrive here.
To rest in the gentle space between breaths.
To allow the body to soften and the mind to loosen its grip on the day.
Night is not something to overcome.
It is a place of restoration.
A place where the nervous system remembers how to release.
And where the deeper intelligence of the body begins to reorganize itself in quiet ways.
So tonight you do not have to carry anything alone.
Let the darkness be supportive rather than empty.
Let the stillness become something that holds you.
And slowly as we move through this meditation together,
You may begin to notice that the night is not something you are moving through.
It is something that is gently holding you.
Feel the place where your body meets the bed.
Notice the weight of your body being held.
No effort is required.
Nothing needs your attention right now.
The day is resting.
The world is quiet.
And you are allowed to rest too.
Let your shoulders soften.
Forehead relax.
Loosen your jaw.
Let the space and the muscles around the eyes relax.
You don't need to go anywhere.
You don't need to do anything.
Notice the breath as it is.
No need to change it.
No need to deepen it.
Just feel the breath moving in and out.
If thoughts arise,
You don't need to follow them.
Let them pass like quiet clouds in the dark.
You are held.
The night is holding you.
The bed is holding you.
Nothing is required of you right now.
Sleep knows how to return.
Still here.
Still held.
Feel your body as weight,
Not shape.
As warmth,
Not effort.
Let the edges of the body soften.
The soles of the feet.
The palms.
There is nothing to hold together anymore.
You are doing nothing wrong.
You can rest here as long as you need.
The night is doing the work now.
There is nothing left to figure out.
Nothing left to carry.
The body already knows how to soften.
And the mind can begin to loosen its grip on the day.
You may notice the quiet deepening.
Spaces widening.
Thoughts drifting further apart.
And if sleep begins to arrive,
You don't need to follow my voice anymore.
You can simply let it fade into the background.
Like a distant lantern in the dark.
When sleep comes,
Let it take you.
To sweet dreams.
