"Just be" meditation encourages you to let go of distractions, worries about the past or future, and the need to constantly achieve or accomplish. It invites a sense of acceptance, allowing oneself to fully embrace and be in tune with the present moment and one's authentic self. This meditation invites you to accept that's ok to be without doing anything.

Hello dear friend,

Allow me to start with a question.

When was the last time you allowed yourself to slow down and just be?

Life is ever so busy and it's kind of never the right time to slow down and just be.

Often times we choose consciously not to slow down and pause because then we would actually have to be with our thoughts,

Feelings and emotions and acknowledge that we might have to change something.

This meditation is for anyone who finds it hard just to be and feels the need to constantly do something to justify their existence.

So let's begin in a comfortable posture,

Making sure your lower back is well supported and in line with your head and your neck.

Relax your shoulders down your back,

Feet firmly planted on the ground,

Hands resting in your lap,

Palms facing up.

If you are comfortable,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

We will begin this meditation with breath awareness,

Then allow yourself to expand your awareness to your physical body and we will close it with the opportunity to set an intention.

An intention can be just one word expressing how you would like to feel.

Every breath is a gift and opens a new moment to just be.

Tune into your breaths,

Feel your breath coming to you with open arms.

Every breath bears gifts,

The gift of connection to your body.

Let's take three deep and slow breaths in.

One for the mind,

One for the body and one for the spirit.

Breathe in like your life depends on it because it does.

Breathe out all the resistance,

Judgment towards yourself and others and any attachments you may have.

Feel free to let out a big sigh and notice how you feel.

Sense the air move in and out of your body.

Notice how your breath keeps you alive and supports you to just be.

Gently allow your breath to return to its normal rhythm.

Expecting nothing and aiming for nothing.

Listen to the sound of your breath.

Your breath is the most amazing gift you receive every moment.

Take this moment to thank your breath for keeping you alive.

What a miracle performed in every moment.

Expand your awareness to your physical body.

See if in your mind's eye,

Which is the place between your eyebrows,

You can draw an outline of your physical body.

Begin from the outer edges of your left foot.

Come up your left leg,

Left hip,

Your left armpit.

Come down your inner left arm,

Down your hand,

Between your fingers.

Come up the outside of your left hand,

Up your left arm and shoulder,

Your neck,

Around your head.

Move down your right shoulder,

Down the outer edges of your right arm,

Right hand,

Between your fingers,

Up the inside of your right arm,

Right armpit,

Down your right hip.

The outside of your right leg and around the edges of your right foot.

Notice how your body feels in this moment.

Allow yourself to feel what you're feeling.

Sense the emotions,

Feelings and sensations in your body.

It's okay to acknowledge your feelings or your feelings are valid.

It's okay to just be with your body.

On your next inhale,

Ground your energy into the earth.

Visualize having big roots growing from the sole of your feet and moving through the soil until it reaches the core of the earth.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Take a moment to feel your connection to the earth.

Breathe in and as you breathe out,

Release through your roots all stagnant energy,

Heavy thoughts,

Discomfort,

Pain,

Problems,

Your problems,

Other people's problems,

Expectations,

Attachments,

All that is going through your mind and you feel that it's not serving you in this moment.

You have permission to let it go.

If you don't know how to release it,

Trust that Mother Earth will strip off all the layers from your physical body and mind that doesn't serve you anymore.

Take a deep breath,

Relax,

Let go,

Release and surrender.

Relax,

Let go,

Release and surrender.

Relax,

Let go,

Release and surrender.

On your next inhale,

Breathe in fresh energy from the earth,

Nourishing and cleansing your body in all the ways possible.

Feel this energy seeping in through your muscles,

Blood and skin.

Breathe in peace,

Calm,

Love,

Acceptance,

Forgiveness,

Trust,

Self-compassion and infinite abundance.

Let your body and mind recharge in this moment,

Expanding your energy with every breath.

You are more than your body.

You are energy.

You are spirit.

You are unconditional love.

And you are an infinite being.

It's okay to spend some moments just being and not doing anything.

See if you can notice a shift in your physical body and mind.

Take this moment to set an intention and meditate on your intention for the next few breaths.

I hope you feel more relaxed and at peace with yourself.

Carry this feeling with you into the rest of your day and into your week.

This feeling is always in your heart.

Tap into your heart space and feel it.
