Hello dear friend,

How do you feel?

On a scale of 1 to 10,

How stressed do you feel right now?

As humans we stress when we feel we lack in control over a situation.

In that moment we engage the fearful mind and begin creating all sorts of fearful stories in our head.

We have roughly 60,

000 thoughts per day and 80% of our thoughts are negative.

So to feel less stressed you are invited to start this meditation with an intention to focus more on the beautiful and positive things in life.

Take this moment to meditate on your intention.

Now settle into a comfortable position so you can fully relax and enjoy your practice.

Keep your back nice and straight,

Rolling back the shoulders,

Feeling all points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.

Feet firmly planted on the ground,

Feel the support of the ground,

Hands resting in your lap,

Palms facing up.

Take a deep breath and allow all your senses to calm down,

Relax and feel peaceful.

Notice how it feels for you to be present in your body.

We spend a lot of time interacting with a voice in our head and if you think I don't have that voice,

I don't know what she's talking about,

That's exactly the voice I'm talking about.

That we forget to care for the body.

The best way to reduce stress is to focus your attention on your inhale and exhale.

This is one of the easiest ways to relax the body and calm the mind.

So let's take five cleansing breaths,

Breathing in gently and slowly through the nose,

Gently hold for a moment and then exhale all the way out through the mouth.

Allow each and every breath to go deeper than the one before.

Feel how the oxygen is feeding your cells,

Molecules and atoms of your being.

Just breathing and being in this moment.

There is nothing else for you to do,

Nowhere to go.

Taste every breath and notice how good it feels to fill up your lungs with oxygen.

Gently smile,

Don't hold back.

Notice how you feel right now.

Carry on breathing deeply,

Invite each and every breath to travel to every corner of your being,

All the way into your abdomen,

Down your arms,

Into your legs,

Up and down your back,

Up and down your spine,

All the way into your head,

Relaxing and melting away all the problems,

Stress,

Worry,

Drama and everything else you are holding on to and it's not sowing you in this moment.

Ask yourself the question,

Did I take good care of my body in the last three months?

Pause and reflect on this question.

Keep breathing and relaxing the body even more with every breath.

Notice if there are any pockets of tension in your body or if you hold stress anywhere in your physical body,

Perhaps in your chest area,

Your lungs,

Liver,

Lower back,

Hips.

Just notice if you feel stress anywhere in your body.

Keep breathing and in your mind's eye,

Which is the place between your eyebrows,

Gently begin scanning your body and notice how you feel.

If you notice an area in your body that needs your attention,

Then please stop and take a deep breath into that spot and imagine that it opens up like a big lotus flower.

So whatever pain,

Tension or stress you stored in that area can be released in this moment.

Relax your forehead,

Unclench the jaw,

Drop down the shoulders even more.

As humans,

We stress when we feel we lose control over a situation.

This is such an illusion as we never had control in the first place,

But somehow we made ourselves believe that we did.

Open up to the idea of letting go of control,

Letting go of wanting things to be a certain way,

Of people to behave a certain way or even situations to be a certain way.

I invite you to call to mind a situation that really bothered you and brought you a lot of stress.

Keep breathing until you feel calm.

Look at the whole situation from an observer point of view.

See if you can notice the conditioning you put on that situation.

Perhaps you can even recall the stories you are telling yourself.

That's okay,

We all did this at one point or another.

There is nothing wrong with you.

See if you can let everything about that situation go.

Just simply drop it.

Everything is energy,

Which means your thoughts are energy too.

Let everything go that's not serving you in this moment.

Now look at the situation without having any strings attached to it.

How does it feel for you now?

Keep breathing,

Imagine inhaling peace and exhaling calm.

When we feel stressed,

We have a lot of mental activity going on in our head.

In those moments,

It's really hard to see clearly what is going on.

It's like trying to see clearly through murky water.

So whenever you feel stressed,

Give yourself permission to pause,

Take a few deep breaths,

Bring yourself to a place of balance,

Inner peace and calm.

Let's take three more deep breaths together.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Relax.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Let go.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Surrender.
