The sacred anger beneath numbness.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
As I speak,
I invite you to make tight fists and then release.
With both hands,
Tight fists and release.
Tight fists and then release.
Continue this pattern,
Listening and feeling deeply.
Even numbness has a pulse beneath it.
Not expressing emotion leaves us watered down,
Stoic,
And overly tolerant.
We deserve more.
We deserve to feel the fullness of our lives.
We meet the emotion beneath the shutdown,
Reclaiming anger as life force,
Turning rage into clarity and direction,
Into passion and creativity.
Today,
We allow ourselves to feel deeply into our bodies,
Not labeling our anger as negative,
But recognizing it as a natural human emotion that needs to be fully felt in order to move on to more tolerable emotions.
Tight fists and then release.
I invite you now to press firmly into the floor below you as you repeat the following out loud.
I am allowed to feel rage and anger.
I am safe to sit with the discomfort of this emotion.
I am safe to sit with the discomfort of this emotion.
I am safe to sit with the discomfort of this emotion.
I hold no shame for feeling this way.
Press firmly against the ground for five seconds.
There is beauty on the other side of this intensity.
Press firmly against the ground for five seconds.
Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.
Feel the pulse of aliveness move through your body now.
Again,
Not labeling it or defining it,
Just allowing.
I invite you to make your way to your feet,
A standing position,
And shake out the hands and the body rapidly.
Shaking and moving at your own pace.
Feeling the fullness of aliveness.
Welcome this new version of you.
The one who is no longer afraid to feel difficult emotions.
Your body thanks you for trusting and listening.
Place a hand on the heart now.
Say to yourself,
I am safe to soften into this goodness.
Send yourself a promise.
I promise to listen to my body every day.
Thank you for your practice,
My friends.
Listen to this recording whenever you need it.
Namaste.
