TEN DAYS OF MEDITATION & BREATHWORK! Join me for five peaceful minutes to reconnect with your body and your breath. In this meditation, we will simply be. By letting go of all distractions and focusing on the present moment, we will create a space of calm and stillness. This practice is an opportunity to embrace silence, release tension, and nurture a deeper connection with ourselves.

Transcript

Take a moment to set yourself up in a comfortable position that would serve your body today.

Take any sort of movement that would help you settle into some stillness.

And once you're ready,

You can close your eyes.

Start to breathe in,

And start to breathe out.

Start to breathe in,

Aware of your in-breath,

And start to breathe out,

Aware of your out-breath.

Acknowledge the air that's traveling into your body,

Filling up your lungs,

And traveling back out.

Start to become almost hyper-fixated on your breath,

So that everything else can fall away.

The past,

The future,

Any worries or concerns or expectations or regrets,

Everything else falls away.

All that remains is breath.

At least for right now,

All that matters is breath.

Today we'll be practicing sama vritti pranayama,

Which is an equal part breath work.

So what we'll be doing is inhaling to the count of six,

And exhaling to the count of six.

We'll start with a cleansing breath,

Take a really deep inhale in through your nose.

Exhale,

Sigh out your mouth.

Inhale to the count of one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Exhale six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Inhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Exhale six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Inhale one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

Exhale six,

Five,

Four,

Two,

One.

Continue this pattern on your own.

Count in your mind.

You can start to let go of the counting in your mind,

Return to a very natural breath and spend one final moment here doing nothing but just being.

Give yourself permission to do nothing but just be.

Stay here for as long as you like.
