Welcome to our root chakra activation guided meditation.
In this meditation,
We'll be opening our connection with our root chakra through mindfulness and breath.
Please make yourself comfortable in any position you like.
Close your eyes and we will begin our activation.
Represented by the color red,
It's believed by some your root chakra is the first of seven energetic centers in your body.
Resting at the base of your spine is your foundation and what keeps you grounded and present here on earth.
Physically,
The root chakra is connected to your adrenal glands as well as your kidneys,
Blood and skeletal system and when this energetic center is out of balance,
We may feel like the victim,
Lacking energy,
Empowerment and life force causing anger,
Aggression and jealousy to surface within us.
So in this meditation,
We'll be reconnecting with our root and opening up to the nurturing,
Self-sufficient and responsible aspects of ourselves.
I now invite you to bring your awareness down to the base of your spine.
We will take three deep breaths to connect with this power center and allow the oxygen to flow through this area as we clear out any density or stress that may be present.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your root with the oxygen.
Hold and a gentle exhale from your mouth.
Another deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your root with oxygen.
Hold and a gentle exhale from your mouth.
One more deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your root with oxygen.
Hold and a gentle exhale from your mouth.
We'll just bask in presence for a moment,
Observing the sensations you feel at the base of your spine.
This awareness directed to specific areas in our body allows us to truly feel ourselves and notice any sensations we may be experiencing inside.
We will take another deep breath in and hold it for a few moments.
And while we do this,
I want you to imagine the oxygen swirling around your root,
Filling your life force with this grounding energy,
Allowing you to feel strong and present in your body.
Then as you exhale,
Releasing any thoughts of doubt,
Insecurity,
Or negativity you may have about yourself,
Take that deep breath in and hold.
Feel the oxygen swirling at the base of your spine.
Now release.
You are worthy of being present in life.
Each breath we take clears up space and makes room for fresh oxygen to flow to the areas that we direct it to go.
As the sound waves move through you,
They also help to release any aggression or anger that may have been built up and stored in your root chakra,
Allowing your body and mind to relax.
This energy is free to move out of you as it is replaced by the confidence in yourself to navigate this material plane comfortably in your own skin.
Feel the base of your spine connected to the ground,
Becoming magnetized to the earth.
Observe the space of deep presence as the sound moves through your root,
Clearing out all unwanted energy from your body.
Let's take another deep breath in and fill our root with the oxygen we need to be grounded and present in this moment.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold,
And gently exhale from your mouth.
You are worthy of being present in life.
Your root keeps you grounded,
Here and alive.
The oxygen and sound waves clear out the old energy from your root chakra.
The grounding effects from this meditation have taken place,
And the confidence in taking action in your life has been awakened and restored.
