Who do you need to be to achieve your goals? This meditation helps you visualize yourself as that person. This is a great secret in the practice of "manifestation". Come along! You will be amazed at the person you meet. Dedicated to Bob Proctor, who passed the week I recorded this. I learned this meditation (in part) from him.

Welcome to meditation.

For this meditation,

You're going to want to be in a comfortable posture,

But we don't want to fall asleep during this meditation.

This is a meditation where we want to be alert enough to pay attention to what's happening,

Because we're going to do some important work in this meditation.

So set yourself up,

Make sure that you're supported and cozy.

When you're ready,

Let your eyes close.

Feel your breath,

Maybe deepen your breath.

Relax your body a little bit.

And I want you to think.

It's the one thing we're not supposed to do in meditation,

Right?

So we believe,

But in this meditation,

I'm asking you to think and I'm asking you to think about your goals,

Your intentions,

Your visions for your life.

And this might be something very specific.

And this might just be something more general.

Like you imagine five years in the future,

What you want to be doing,

What you want to be surrounded by,

What you want to be free from.

I would even be so bold as to say,

If you don't know what your goal is,

Pause this and consider your goals before you move forward in this meditation.

But this is a practice you can keep coming back to again and again.

But there's no pressure to get it right the first time or the 10th time.

So letting yourself off that hook of making it right,

But having some sense now of what your goal is.

I would encourage you,

Whatever your goal is,

To let it be even better.

Let it be even bigger or more in the sense that it's going to require you to stretch more.

Like a goal that maybe you really don't even know how you're going to achieve.

And this can be something internal,

Like a way of being.

It could be something with your body,

Like your body being in a different condition than it is now,

Or maybe a different condition than it's ever been in.

It could be relationship goals.

It could be romantic,

It could be social,

It could be a relationship with your kids,

Grandkids.

It could be material goals.

It could be success that you want to achieve,

Money that you want to earn,

Service that you have a goal to render,

Creative goals,

Something you want to create or write.

You get the idea.

And you can do this practice multiple times with different goals.

The practice is this.

You take the goal and I want you to see the goal being achieved.

Not the process of it,

But the actual victory of it.

You have the goal.

You have achieved the goal.

What does it look like?

How does it feel?

What is the vision of you in this realized goal?

This isn't a visualization of success meditation.

This is different.

This is the key to making those work,

Actually.

But you start with that.

You start with seeing yourself,

Being clear about the goal.

But in this meditation,

The focus is you and who you need to become to have this goal fulfilled.

How you need to be in order to fulfill this goal.

That's the secret of this.

How this visualization practice,

This goal-focused practice can actually work.

Who do you need to be?

Who is that one?

Who is that man?

Who is that woman?

Who is that person?

Who's achieved that goal?

This is how I like to do it.

I like to take that vision,

The vision of the victory,

And almost block out everything else in the vision except for me,

In the vision.

So for instance,

If it's a goal of writing and publishing a book and being successful with it,

I might have a vision of holding that book or seeing the New York Times bestseller status applied to the work or whatever that is.

I'm just using this as an example.

But for this practice,

What I do is I focus on me in that place,

Holding that book.

Me there in the victory of the goal.

Take your goal now and see yourself in it.

Feel yourself in it.

How are you different?

How are you different than how you are these days?

And I'm not talking about how the goal's victory has made you different.

You had to be different to attain the goal.

Not that there's anything wrong with you now.

But something needed to grow,

Something needed to expand.

Some power needed to strengthen.

Some habits needed to fall away.

Some way of being had to become the way that you are.

See if you can see that.

See if you can feel that.

Like you're still visualizing this future moment.

You're still seeing this victory.

But see yourself in it.

Feel yourself in it.

How are you different?

And then take that feeling and that way of being,

Even if it's so foreign,

Even if it's so different than how you are these days.

For this meditation,

Take that feeling and feel it right now.

Take that way of being and be that way right now as you're meditating.

Who is that one that is victorious?

Who are they?

How are they?

Maybe the way that you're sitting changes.

Have fun with this.

And if this is a goal that you want and the goal is good and the goal feels good,

The way of being should feel good too.

Even if it's foreign.

If it feels like a push,

If it feels like any shade of shame,

Any shade of should,

I should be like this,

Any of that,

Redirect.

We're talking about feelings like confidence.

We're talking about feelings like clarity.

We're talking about strengths.

We're talking about feelings like being unburdened.

Being unburdened in you and you achieve your goal.

Are you a happier person?

Are you more free?

More energized?

How are you?

Who is that one that you need to be to achieve your goal?

Have fun with it in this meditation and just play with it.

Like a kid playing dress up of what they want to be when they grow up.

You're trying on this energetic costume.

You're doing great.

And then as you take this feeling,

As you take this energy,

And in the vision,

You might be far from it still,

How you are these days.

But what you can do today,

What you can do starting right now,

Is you can take this whole thing,

Take this whole energetic blueprint of how you need to be,

And you can turn it into what we call an attitude.

You can have the attitude,

This way of being,

This way of feeling,

This way of thinking,

This way of talking,

This way of holding yourself,

This way of conducting yourself.

And you can start today.

This is something that's under your command.

Doesn't mean that you do it perfectly,

Doesn't mean that you always remember to do it.

You ask yourself,

What is the attitude that you need to have today that molds you into that one,

That achieves your goal?

And then feel yourself having,

See yourself having,

Envision yourself in your life today,

Like after this meditation,

All through the day until bedtime,

Next day,

Whatever's happening tomorrow.

Just go that far,

But imagine yourself taking this attitude and committing to this attitude,

The attitude of the one that is successful in the way that your heart tells you,

You want to be successful.

As soon as you're done with this meditation,

Find something to write with and write on and articulate this.

Who do you need to be in order to achieve your goal?

What is the feeling?

What is the way of being that person has?

And what is the attitude that you can start practicing now?

And remember,

If it doesn't feel good,

It's not the right one.

When you're ready,

You can let this practice finish,

You can deepen your breathing,

Let your body move and open your eyes.

I hope this practice was useful for you and I look forward to meditating with you again in the coming years.
