Welcome Powerful Hearts,
Back to another guided meditation and journey from my heart to yours.
Today's intention is helping you quiet a racing mind,
A journey into your inner world to help with overthinking and mental clarity.
Closing your beautiful eyes if they're not closed already,
And with me now starting this overthinking journey with a deep mindful breath in through your nose into your belly and out through your mouth.
Going again,
One more for good measure,
Breathing in,
And breathing out,
Settling down.
Overthinking often happens when the mind is trying to solve too many things at once,
Plans for the future,
Replaying conversations,
Questions without clear answers.
The mind keeps spinning searching for certainty but clarity really comes from spinning faster.
So as you begin to breathe a little deeper and start to feel my presence,
My heart,
My energy holding you,
See that your mental clarity comes from slowing down enough to see the peace and the stillness already here.
We're not going to force your mind to stop thinking or getting rid of any thoughts and making them disappear.
Today is about learning to step slightly back from them so your mind can naturally settle.
Breathing in again with me,
Holding at the top and letting go.
Starting to feel extra heavy,
Starting to feel extra present,
And as your breath begins to slow down,
Going in slowly through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth,
Simply here with me notice the activity of your mind,
Thoughts moving,
Ideas appearing,
A constant stream of inner commentary.
Instead of trying to stop it,
Imagine you are watching the mind the way you would watch traffic from the side of the road.
Cars passing,
Some cars fast,
Some cars slow.
You do not need to chase them,
Just observe.
Your awareness is the quiet place watching the movement itself.
So here with me,
Let us start to connect to this watcher,
To this deeper part of you.
Seeing more thoughts drift and move down the road,
The highway,
Some changing direction,
Some stopping,
Some reversing.
Do not need to hold any attention on any of the cars.
You simply sit,
You simply observe,
Allowing them to pass.
Thoughts continuing their journey downstream,
Down the stream of the highway itself.
Down the stream of the movement of the vehicles as you watch.
With each breath in and each breath out,
You feel yourself calmly on the side of the road,
Steady,
Present and undisturbed by the movement of the cars,
Of the stream of metal and vibration.
Breathing in with me,
Soft attention,
And breathing out,
Letting thoughts flow on.
And one more round of this,
Breathing in,
Gently and softly,
Shifting your attention from the mind now into a deeper space within your body.
Feeling your feet and the weight of your legs bring you down,
Down into your vessel,
Down into your breath,
Your body,
And to all that holds you here physically in this present moment.
Placing one hand over your belly,
And taking a slow breath in,
Feeling your belly expand,
Breathing in,
And exhaling slowly.
Going again,
Breathing in,
Feeling your belly expand,
And breathing out,
Feeling your hand drop,
Letting your breath become deeper and steadier.
As overthinking tries to pull us upward into the head,
Your body knows how to pull you down into this present physical moment.
Breathing in again to this belly space,
And breathing out,
Dropping deeper.
From here,
We can now imagine our thoughts,
Your thoughts,
Slowing slightly,
Not disappearing,
Just creating more space in between the thoughts themselves.
Like waves in your chaotic mental ocean becoming calmer.
Calmer.
There's a moment of still water,
Stillness water between each wave.
So here with me as my heart continues to hold you,
To love on you,
Notice the stillness.
Rest inside it as each breath you continue to take expands this quiet space.
This quiet space between your thoughts.
Inhale,
Pause.
Exhale.
Pause.
Inhale.
Pause.
Exhale.
Pause.
Within these small spaces,
Clarity begins to appear.
Clarity that is not pushed or forced,
That here with me is just naturally emerging.
One more breath with me,
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Taking your visualization now and starting to see soft light in the center of your forehead.
The area that is connected to your third eye,
To your deeper sense of clarity,
Knowingness and perception.
Move your breath now to this space as you breathe in the light.
Within this clarity center becomes calmer and more focused.
Breathing in,
More focus,
More light.
More clarity.
Feeling this light helping your mind become clear.
Clear like the surface of a lake.
Surface that you can see all the way to the bottom as you continue to breathe and expand this clarity.
As you feel my words moving with your breath and the light that clears this center.
Your mind is allowed to rest.
Your mind is allowed to rest.
Clarity comes when you slow down.
Clarity comes when you slow down.
You do not need to solve everything right now.
You do not need to solve everything right now.
And giving yourself permission to feel these words and the loving intention behind them settle into your nervous system.
Settling into your body at large and amplifying the stillness that you feel beneath and between thoughts.
Just observing and noticing how different the mind feels when you step out of the spin.
When you step out of the racing,
The forcing,
The pushing,
The spiraling.
Thoughts may still come.
Thoughts may still go.
But you are no longer caught up inside them.
You are and forever will be the loving awareness holding them.
So with me taking a deep breath into this truth,
Breathing out,
Feeling it,
Going again,
Breathing in to this truth,
Feeling any more moments of clarity and calmness,
Setting the intention before we finish to take this stillness,
Take this space between your thoughts with you out of this meditation,
Out into all of the spaces and places you get to choose to show up.
Then once this is complete,
Begin bringing small movements back into your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Rolling your shoulders.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes,
Remembering that you never needed to control every thought that appeared.
Your clarity comes from creating space.
And this space is always with you.
