This is a meditation designed to use all of your five fingers to heal yourself.
Our fingers are our energy connectors.
We're going to use the energy of the five elements in Chinese medicine.
The earth,
The water,
The wood,
The metal,
And the fire to balance our energy.
So invite yourself to find a comfortable seat or you could lay down,
Whatever is best for you.
But make sure you're really comfortable because comfort is queen.
And wherever you are,
Connect to the ground,
To that earth energy and feel what's passing down.
At the same time,
Reach your crown of the head up to the sky and lengthen your spine.
Just imagine sunshine,
The warmth of the sun right in the crown of your head,
Connecting you to something greater.
Feel that warmth of the sunshine in your third eye,
Your wisdom center.
Down your face into your throat to be honest with yourself and speak your truth.
See that sunshine in your heart.
Let it radiate all the way down your shoulders,
Your wrists,
Your elbows,
Right into your hands.
We're going to focus our energy on our thumbs.
So feel your thumbs.
Know that the thumbs are earth energy,
The organs of the stomach and the spleen.
When you're balanced,
You feel the trust,
The abundance of the earth.
When you're out of balance,
You might have lots of worry.
So we're going to breathe in the virtue of the element and breathe out one of the five thieves that blocks us in the present moment.
The five thieves being worry,
Fear,
Anger,
Sadness and anxiety.
So come back to your thumbs.
Just feel your breath just coming in and out just naturally.
This guided meditation,
We're going to imagine we could breathe in through your thumbs.
Take a big breath in,
Feel your thumbs,
You can even lift your thumbs.
As you exhale and soften into your thumbs,
Let yourself let go of any worries.
Breathe into the trust of earth energy at late summer,
In the fruits on the vine and exhale any worries.
See it in your mind's eye,
Your thumbs lighting up with that light of the sun,
Breathing in the abundance and breathing out any worries.
Just notice how that feels.
Then in your mind's eye,
Feel your index fingers,
Which is the energy of water,
Wintertime corresponding with the kidneys and the bladder.
When we're balanced,
We feel the endurance to make it through winter.
Out of balance,
We might have a lot of fear.
So invite yourself to see that endurance within yourself as you breathe into both index fingers,
Inhale.
And as you exhale,
Just let go of any fears,
Fear,
False evidence,
Appearing real.
Breathe into your stamina,
Steadfastness within yourself to be in hibernation in wintertime and your index fingers.
And exhale out any fears,
Just let them go.
One more,
Breathe into the endurance.
Breathe out the fears.
Notice how it feels to let go of something that feels fearful,
Like water,
Just letting it go.
In your mind's eye,
Feel your middle fingers.
This is the energy of wood,
Springtime energy.
It's the liver and the gallbladder.
You're balanced,
You're inspired,
Sprouting energy,
Rising up springtime energy,
Pushing through the soil.
When you're out of balance,
You might be feeling irritable,
Frustrated,
Angry.
So let's breathe into that inspiration in those middle fingers,
Let them stand tall.
And exhale out any irritations.
Breathe in rising up.
Exhale,
Let go of anger.
Take a big breath in,
Breathe into that sprouting energy of springtime.
Inhale it,
Sip it in.
And exhaling out,
Ha,
Just letting go of any anger.
Can you just release it?
This energy of wood,
We have too many inspirations.
You might be feeling frustrated,
So let go.
Just breathe into that rising up.
Let go of the anger.
Notice how that feels.
Let's move on to the ring finger.
The ring finger,
The metal energy of fall,
The lungs and the large intestines.
As you breathe in through your lungs,
You're going to breathe in that integrity,
Shine,
The metal into gold.
Breathe into your ring fingers.
Let go of any sadness.
Breathe into the integrity of fall.
Let go of any grieving.
Invite yourself to breathe in to being able to do what you say you're going to do and let go of the stuff that holds you back.
Notice how it feels to breathe into your ring fingers.
Lastly,
We'll breathe into our pinkies.
Pinkies is the fire energy.
It's the heart,
Small intestine,
Triple warmer and pericardium.
It's the energy of early summer.
The energy of love and compassion and forgiveness.
And it's letting go of anxiety and trying too hard.
So breathe into your pinkies,
Lots of love.
And exhale out any anxiety.
Breathe in happiness in your pinkies.
And exhale out trying too hard.
Breathe in the joy.
Let go of the annoy.
Notice in your pinkies,
Letting go of anything that makes you anxious.
Notice all your fingers.
You can even hold one finger if you like.
If you're feeling worried,
Hold your thumb.
Feeling fear,
Hold your index finger.
Feeling anger,
Hold your middle finger.
If you're feeling sadness,
Ring finger.
And if you're feeling anxious,
Hold your pinky.
It's that circuit of energy that our fingers radiate out.
As we feel this balanced energy,
Begin to rub your hands together.
Fill your hands together and draw them to your heart.
And breathe into whatever it is that you want to manifest,
Whatever it is that you want to walk through your day with,
Using that positive affirmation of I am.
Breathe in I am.
Let it radiate out,
Whatever it is that you want to walk through your day with.
I am in harmony.
Whatever works for you,
Breathe it into every cell.
I am.
Let that be what shines from you.
One more time,
Breathe into your intention and let that be what radiates out.
And then the universe just works out the details.
But you got to know where you're going.
You got to know your intention.
And then you got to surrender.
I invite you to have a beautiful rest of your day.
And thank you so much for your practice.
Namaste.
