Are You Struggling With Daily Life And Spirituality, Listen
This talk is a lesson on how to go beyond the average in both life and in your spiritual life. First sharing is a continuation of keeping your spiritual life new then I talk on some of the things that helped me dive into the oceans depth and climb the highest mountains then how these things break the cycle of Anxiety.

Hello again.
Last week we left off with the teaching of how godliness or spirituality should remain continually in a new state.
And I compared it to having a song,
Your favorite song that you listen to all the time.
If you listen to it too much,
Then you wear it out.
But the song itself has a life.
For a while you may be totally immersed in listening to the song two,
Three,
Four,
Five times a day because you love it so much.
But eventually that fades away and makes room for something new.
And in the same sense,
Our divine maker is the same thing,
That he is constantly evolving so he's always for the new.
In fact,
If you're being creative,
If you're being creative then your energy is godliness and your creativity,
Whether it's in dance or art or music or whatever your forte be.
If you're being creative then you're being in a sense godly.
My name is Douglas Gromins and I thank you again for joining me.
And we'll get into a few more little topics that I wanted to touch on.
One of the topics is that,
And I hear this a lot on Facebook and through groups that I'm in,
That a lot of people have like a spiritual awakening they call it.
And I'm not doubting that they have some sort of spiritual awakening.
I don't know what happens to all these different people because I'm not there.
But then they have this sense of feeling that they're disconjointed from this feeling that they can no longer access or reach to that experience again.
So I wanted to help you by giving you a couple pointers and a couple things that have helped me along the way.
And one of the things that really does it for everybody.
Let's give you an example of an average Joe surfer.
First of all surfing can be split up into basically like three groups.
There's the beginner surfers.
Then there's the intermediate surfers,
Which I call the average Joe surfers.
And then there's the advanced expert surfers.
And many people start off as beginners and they advance up to what we call the average Joe.
And they never excel above that because it takes a certain amount of commitment and also a lot of training from outside sources.
If you have a trainer or if you watch videos,
There's so many different ways that you can get past that intermediate level,
That average Joe level.
But many of many,
I'm talking about thousands and thousands of surfers never get past that level.
And they're probably okay with it really.
When it comes to spirituality,
We have people that are beginners just getting into spirituality and just discovering new things.
And they might have peak moments where they have a closeness experience of divineness and oneness with the whole.
But what they have to realize is that they're on a journey.
And if you consider the journey,
It can be considered two different ways.
One is being in the ocean or being in love with the ocean,
And the other is being in love with the mountains and climbing mountains.
Both are the same journey.
Mountains and oceans are both the most mystical places and the most beautiful places in the world.
And the energy at both of these places just resonates through you.
The ocean cleanses you as the mountain revitalizes you and helps keep you young.
So if they're just starting out on their journey and maybe they got a glimpse of the mountain top,
The spiritual seeker,
And that gives you encouragement and some incentive to try to keep going up the trail.
And then it becomes troublesome because the steeper you go,
The harder it gets.
And people don't understand that.
You can have all these pitfalls in life still.
You still have to deal with all of life's problems.
And now you're adding a spiritual side to it.
You haven't quite got to the top yet.
And once you get to the top,
Then you're considered an advanced spiritual seeker.
And when you get to the top,
Then the journey is,
In a sense,
You conquered the spiritual journey.
And you shift to a new center.
You shift to a spiritual center.
And I think that hinders a lot of these average Joes.
Like I said,
Maybe millions of seekers get up to the middle of the mountain or the middle of the path in the middle of the way.
Then they get distracted by other things in life.
There are other things to think about in life,
Like how to make a living,
How to put a roof over your head,
How to feed yourself,
All these things.
Then you have children and then you have grandparents and parents to take care of.
And just so many different burdens can deter you from climbing any farther on the spiritual path.
So like I said,
It stops for a lot of people right there,
The average Joe meditator,
The average Joe spiritual person.
But if you do everything you do with a certain intensity,
Just like water boils at 100 degrees Celsius,
The same happens with spirituality.
You have to reach that 100 percent point.
And the average Joe never reaches up to maybe 80,
Maybe 90 percent at the most.
And that's quite a lot.
And it's a great effort,
But it doesn't get you all the way home yet.
It doesn't complete the journey for you.
And your spirit and spirituality and godliness is all going to keep like knocking on your door saying,
Hey,
You know,
You want to finish this journey?
We're ready for you.
Come on,
Let's try it.
Let's do it.
So the key trick is to do,
Like I said,
Do everything with a certain intensity,
With 100 percent awareness,
100 percent focus into that present moment of whatever you're doing,
Whether it's sweeping the floor or going on a walk or riding a bicycle or a motorcycle or going surfing,
Whatever you do.
I mean,
With surfing,
It's very easy to be 100 percent in the present moment because basically the salt water is cleansing you.
And at the same time,
You're living in the present moment,
Not thinking about anything else other than catching waves.
And you just sit there in a peaceful state and just wait your turn until the wave comes your way and then you go.
So yeah,
Surfers have a distinct advantage over a lot of people if they apply their mindset to spirituality and focus in the present moment.
So 100 percent effort is required.
And in a sense,
You're burning the candle at both ends when you do that.
But that's the only way to really live life is to burn the candle at both ends.
And I'll tell you this,
Even after you reach the top of the mountain,
Even after you got to the top and you've discovered godliness and this brilliant awakening happenings to you,
Life still goes on.
When you climb back down off that mountain,
You have to return to the valley and live amongst all the other people who are still in the valley.
Except if you keep climbing to the top of the mountain,
Then what happens is that you gather this essence,
This essence that can only be described or felt by one who's been to the top of the mountain.
You carry that essence with you back into the valley,
And you spread that love,
That abundance of love and awareness and try to inspire others to climb to the top of the mountain because you've basically become a mountain climber.
Or you could say you've become a surfer,
An advanced surfer,
Once you get to these higher levels and go above the average way of living.
And you'll find that once you reach this advanced godliness,
This advanced spirituality,
That time basically doesn't have a pull on you anymore.
I mean,
It tries to tug from side to side to pull you down,
But the law of levitation takes place once you've reached the top of the mountain,
Or once you become an advanced surfer.
You do things effortlessly.
Stress doesn't bother you.
Anxiety doesn't bother you.
And if it does bother you,
You will learn ways to overcome it.
And I had this conversation with the young lady on Facebook,
And she's got high anxiety and she can't even drive,
She was telling me.
And I told her,
I was like,
Hey,
I had the same thing happen to me.
I mean,
Even with all my spirituality and everything I've experienced,
For some reason there's some really high bridges in the Houston area.
The Ship Channel Bridge is really high on the Beltway 8 side,
And it's narrow.
And for some reason,
When I started to cross it,
I had panic attacks.
I kind of freaked out a little bit,
And my breathing got slow,
And I felt like I was about to pass out,
Just climbing these bridges.
And over time,
It got a little bit worse,
But then I started focusing on just focusing my eyes on just the road,
And just the road like a few feet in front of me.
Instead of looking all the way up to the top of the peak and go,
Oh,
I got all this way to go to get to the peak,
I kind of just focused on what was ahead of me,
What I could deal with in the present moment.
And that helped.
That helped me to overcome my fear.
Because I mean,
I'm a skydiver too,
So I am not afraid of heights,
But I was deathly scared of crossing these big bridges and these big overpasses we have in the Texas area.
But anyway,
These bridges,
I think,
Are all acronyms for something else in the spiritual world.
Because every time you jump from one chakra to the next chakra,
You cross a bridge to get to that chakra.
And it's OK all the way up to the heart chakra.
Everything's fine with the root chakra,
The sex chakra,
The solar plexus,
And then the heart.
But once you reach the heart chakra,
Then you start becoming an advanced meditator,
An advanced spiritual person.
Then you are ready to break the bridge between the lower,
The animal part of you,
And the spiritual part of you.
And this is why they say that Buddhas never come back.
That once you become enlightened,
You never come back.
So once you raise your energy into the heart chakra,
At least 51% of your energy pours into it,
And you've become this advanced person,
You've learned to live in the moment,
You've learned to appreciate awareness and the nowness of everything,
Then the bridge breaks.
So you're still in your body form,
You're still in your human form,
So you're still connected to it all.
But you enter this realm of otherworldly things,
And it's still all contained within your body,
Which is kind of mystical and hard to think about and hard to believe.
But your throat chakra,
Your third eye chakra,
And the crown chakra,
Like I've said in many videos now,
They all tie in more with the after world and the spiritual world.
And it's your personal connection.
I know priests try to control and manipulate people and tell them that this is how you get into heaven,
And all this stuff is this way,
And you can only talk to God through them and all kinds of weird things like that.
But you have this connection already inside of you,
The spiritual side of you.
You may not have ever raised your energy that high before,
But once you've raised your energy past the heart,
Then the bridge breaks.
And then you start levitating more energy,
Then the energy is pulled down.
So you're not affected by gravity the same as other unenlightened people or people who are not on the spiritual path.
So yeah,
So these bridges we cross in our physical world,
And these things that scare us,
And I've had them in my nightmares as well.
And in my nightmares,
The bridges just kept getting steeper and steeper until they were perfectly vertical.
And I've learned through awareness and being conscious in my dreams,
90% of the time when I'm dreaming,
I'm aware that I'm dreaming and I'm allowing myself that beauty and that space to let my mind play while my body gets to sleep and rest and my soul re-energizes.
And I would get to these bridges sometimes and I'd like,
Okay,
Hold on,
Let me get my truck.
And I'd go find my little blue truck that's got a super powerful engine in it.
And I would zoom straight up,
Straight,
Straight,
Straight,
Straight up over 6,
700,
800 feet up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up.
And then I get to the top and then there's no other half to the bridge.
There's no down.
The bridge stops.
And it's this correlation with the upper chakras in your system that have the same things going on,
The same essence,
The same vibration that once you cross that bridge and once you get to it,
It's a very steep journey.
It's steeper than the climbing to Everest.
It's the steepest mountain there is.
And it's the deepest sea there is.
But once you get to that point,
Once you cross that bridge,
Once you go to that depth in the ocean,
Then you become one with the ocean.
You're no longer separate.
You were the drop,
But you became the ocean.
And then when you come out of your meditation or out of your sleep in these deep,
Deep states of being,
Then you wake up refreshed and vibrant because you allowed yourself for these things to happen to you in your sleep.
Or when you meditate,
It's different when you meditate because you're trying to be calm and still and have a silence come over you.
And the silence can be so deep that it pierces time.
The silence overcomes you.
And as you go deeper into these states of entering the throat chakra and the third eye chakra,
A certain vibration happens,
And after lying on the ground for about 20,
30 minutes,
You can try it if you're at a place where you feel comfortable and you can close your eyes.
And you just allow yourself to sit there for about 20 minutes.
And after about 20,
25 minutes,
Then you'll feel vibrations and this energy shift goes on.
And you enter into this higher realm.
And each chakra you go up is an energy shift.
Sometimes people that have deep meditations,
Especially in the beginning,
They have to go through five,
Six,
Seven layers of chakras before they get into this super still,
Silent meditation.
In fact,
Meditation doesn't even happen until that happens.
All the rest is just work to get you to that point.
So if you get a chance to just be still and be in the moment,
And you close your eyes and you just sit there and you wait for the divine to enter you,
You don't expect anything to happen.
You don't expect the divine to take his presence in you.
You just wait as a bridegroom and wait for her lover to show up and take her in her arms and embrace her.
The same love affair happens with godliness,
With your spirituality.
When you go above being an average Joe and you go above and beyond and into the highest levels.
It's a really beautiful experience.
And all these things I've shared with you are things that have changed my life and helped me to be the person I am today.
It helps me to get inspired and share things.
I'll just be driving around the city of Houston thinking of things that I want to say to you guys in the evenings when I get home and have time to make these recordings.
I think that's beautiful.
I center my life around these things.
98% of the time,
If you ask me how I feel,
I would answer back by saying,
Fantastic.
I feel fantastic.
And most of the time I do.
I do still have some moments where my humanity takes over and reminds me that there are deep things in life that you're still connected with,
Like family and loved ones and things like that.
And even though you've crossed the bridges and you've gone into higher realms,
You're still in the animal form on its basic level.
And all these bridges that you broke,
Basically you can recess back down and reattain your grounding because in this life you do have to be grounded.
You have to have a strong sense of balance and you do that by grounding.
I do that mostly by surfing or doing other things that make me feel connected to the earth like skydiving and skateboarding.
When you fall on a skateboard,
Which I did the other day,
I've been skating for like three weeks now and I haven't fallen once in the park.
Now yesterday I was trying something that I haven't done in many,
Many years and I felt right on my butt.
I twisted my legs up and bent my arms all out of place.
I'm okay,
But it's just a reminder.
As I was driving to work today,
And this happened yesterday,
But as I was driving to work today,
It was a pain,
But it was a good pain because it happened doing something I love,
Something that grounds me,
Something that keeps me centered in this life and keeps me centered on my spiritual life because when you're doing these things like skating or surfing or skydiving,
You're focusing on being centered.
Even though there's that fear factor and you could get really,
Really hurt doing some of the things I do,
There's a centering that comes over you.
It's part of that being spiritual and being above an average Joe spiritual person and being a vibrant,
Alive human being,
Living life at both ends of the candle,
Burning twice as bright.
I know they say the candle that burns twice as bright burns out faster,
But Buddha lived and he was one of the brightest lights ever,
But Buddha lived another 40 years after his enlightenment.
So he was around 40 when he became enlightened,
And then he spent another 40 years spreading his knowledge and his wealth of spirituality with the rest of the world.
We are greatly benefited from people like Buddha and Jesus and them for sharing their things.
But like I said,
A dead person can't answer questions for you.
So a live master or just being near somebody,
Even just listening to their voices on this thing like Insight Time or just listening to someone who's been up that mountain many,
Many times or into the depths of the ocean many,
Many times,
A certain closeness is felt with you and that person.
You vibrate at the same level,
Even if it's just while you're listening to the track.
You have this communion with an enlightened person or a mystical person or whatever you want to call it,
A person who's twice born,
Someone who died as an average Joe and was born as an expert swimmer,
An expert skydiver,
An expert at everything because you learn the trick in life and you're no longer pulled by anxiety.
The anxiety you felt and you were scared of as you were crossing these bridges in life,
It disappears and it goes away.
In fact,
Now even when I have to cross these bridges now,
Now I'm out looking over the sides and seeing the great view and enjoying the view and that's how I used to be.
So I don't know why I was pushed through that experience in my physical body,
But now I get to share that why with you and help you if you have anxiety,
If you have depressions or schizophrenia or any of the mental illnesses that I could think of or couldn't think of.
If you have these things,
Then the answer really is to go higher than yourself instead of lower.
You can go lower and go below the mind's normal level and it will distort you and make you feel less attached to others and attached to your centering,
Your real truth,
Your spiritual centering.
You get pulled away from it.
So if that happens,
Then you just take a 180 and dive back inward and try to focus on the present moment and take baby steps.
One step at a time,
You focus one second into the future and just stay in that moment where you're just focusing on this nowness that happens one second at a time.
That's all you've got to take,
Just baby steps and you'll get over your fears,
Your anxieties.
If you can do it in the spiritual world,
Then the rest of it just doesn't seem to be so crazy.
It's like the comparison that before I skydive,
Roller coasters were like these scary things.
They twist you,
They turn you,
They flip you upside down and you're going really fast and all this stuff and it seems real crazy.
That's the thrill of riding a roller coaster.
But after a skydive,
It's like,
That's nothing.
So being spiritual,
Being an advanced spiritual person or someone who is in a depth to something like skydiving,
To these heights,
Then little things don't scare you anymore.
You get past them,
You go past them.
So anyway,
I just wanted to share these few insights with you guys and the girls.
Thank you again so much for listening to me and I hope that maybe one day we could have a live broadcast somehow with maybe Rick and my friend.
Rick and I have been talking about making a dual live broadcast where we answer people's questions and maybe interview celebrities that might be what we call spiritual or inspirations in our lives if they're still alive.
A lot of our inspirations have passed away and now we're the ones left holding the torch.
And one day we're going to have to pass that torch to somebody else.
So that's another reason why we keep giving is that we share and try to keep this torch lit for all eternity.
We each have a turn holding the light and those of you that are coming into an awakening,
You're the ones now that have to learn to shine bright and carry that torch.
So yeah,
Thanks again for listening to me my friends.
Namaste to all you spiritual beautiful people and aloha and mahalo to all my surfing friends and blue skies to all you great wonderful skydiving friends of mine.
Everybody take care of yourselves and we'll talk to you later.
Bye bye.
