Have you ever met a lion before?

A real lion in the wild?

Well you may be surprised to know what night time adventures lions get up to when all of the other animals of the savanna lands tuck in and go to sleep.

Because tonight Leopold,

The magnificent lion king,

And Leo Jr.

,

His cheeky and playful lion cub,

Are inviting you to roam about freely,

Joining with them as they like to explore and have the dreamiest,

Most wonderful night time adventures you can possibly imagine.

Before you do enjoy falling fast asleep.

So now as you snuggle in and start to feel so cosy and comfortable,

You can close your eyes and show your lion friends how you can be so very quiet and totally still.

Because this is how even sleepy lions always know what is going on around them in the savanna.

By listening so carefully to the sounds of the breeze.

And remaining so very still to pay enough attention with all of their lion senses.

Because even when lions look like they're lazing about so happily,

Maybe even seeming to be sound asleep,

Don't be fooled because those sleepy lions are always ready to pounce and prowl and even roar.

Sometimes just for fun to surprise the other sleepy animals around them.

But also to remind everyone who is really king of the sleeping savanna land.

And I think you're going to enjoy being surprised tonight on your very special,

Marvelous dream adventures because you may feel very excited inside and even find yourself starting to dream away.

Dreaming of the wide open plains.

As you start to see with your mind's eye.

The tall strong baobab trees dotting the landscape with their dark green leaves.

Fresh green grass everywhere.

And so many interesting rock formations.

And now you're realising that because you're imagining so well,

You are already arriving here to be in the savanna land.

Standing here.

And feeling this fluffy grass under your bare feet.

And you can easily see from here,

The bright and clear moon is high in the sky.

And everything is glowing in the moonshine.

This enchanted silvery moonlight sparkles beautifully.

Making it very easy to see.

And you're hearing all the peaceful,

Calming sounds of this place.

Including the soft running water of a gentle flowing stream.

And very soon as you peer through the clear moonlight,

You see two amazing animals drinking by the stream.

And one of them runs over to you,

And now you can make out a young lion's face.

With friendly eyes and a mischievous grin.

This young lion introduces himself.

He is Leo Junior.

And now Leo Junior's father prances over to you,

Looking rather dignified.

With a majestic mane like a rock star.

And such a proud posture.

Leo Junior's father holds out one massive paw for you to shake.

As he tells you his name is King Leopold of the Pride Land.

Now King Leopold and Leo Junior smile warmly at you.

And you instantly sense they are kind hearted lions.

And you feel so safe and calm in their presence.

Because you know they will protect you no matter what.

And you feel a soft lion fur tickle as Leo Junior nuzzles playfully into you with his warm furry coat.

Leopold the Lion King tells you they are going to take you on a night tour of the Pride Lands.

To do the night watch of the sleeping animals.

Because they are the protectors of the savanna lands.

And they'd love for you to see some of their most favourite fun places.

Also feeling so excited now,

You begin to follow the path of the stream.

With Leopold prancing ahead and you and Leo Junior hopping,

Skipping,

Tripping and jumping along behind.

As you follow this long,

Relaxing,

Flowing brook,

You see it winds out to a clear open grass land.

And now you see before you this beautiful savanna land.

Stretching out so wide and so free.

Seeing the lovely clear water of the stream flows into a pond.

Which you now see has become really quite muddy.

And all of a sudden,

You can hear the funny sound of loud snoring.

But you can't quite make out where it's coming from.

Because all you can see is a huge rock stuck in the mud here.

Or what looks like a rock.

Because now this rock suddenly moves.

And now you see a humongous,

Muddy face as you realise there is a massive hippopotamus there.

Riding and snoring and sleeping so happily in all of this mud.

And now the giant,

Sleepy hippo rolls over with an enormous snore out of its huge nostrils.

Little Leo grins and very soon he tickles the hippo's nose with a feather.

And now the hippo blows out an even bigger snore.

The loudest,

Grumbliest,

Funniest snore you have ever heard.

As it wriggles a bit deeper into the mud.

Now you and Leo Junior look to each other and try not to laugh.

Because you really don't want to wake this grumpy hippo who is sleeping so well.

And you see King Leopold watching with a serious expression on his face.

But in the moonlight you think you can see a small smile of amusement.

Because the hippo simply rolls over again now,

So heavily,

With a great splosh of goopy mud.

But thankfully keeps on sleeping and snoring.

Now you see Leo dips his little lion's paw into this goopy brown mud.

And suddenly he presses his paw onto your hand.

And when you look down,

You have a lion's paw print painted onto you.

And you feel so very wild and free,

Just like a lion.

Because you are feeling more and more as if you truly belong in this lion pride now.

Now having checked on the hippos,

You all race out across the open grasslands.

Running as fast as you possibly can.

But you are no match for King Leopold,

The fastest lion in all the land.

So Leopold helps you out.

Because you're part of this pride now,

And the King of the Lions bows down his strong neck.

And lets you climb up onto his back.

And now you hold on so tight to Leopold's big rock star mane.

And his fluffy fur.

As he runs faster and faster.

With Leo Jr running so fast alongside.

Because you all race through the savanna lands.

And leap over many rocks.

And now you're darting around trees.

As the natural world around you becomes a fast moving blur.

Until after a little while,

You all slow down again.

Just slowing down to a gentle walking pace.

Feeling so relaxed.

And the three of you arrive at the beautiful tall trees.

Where all of the sleeping giraffes like to laze about when they rest.

Underneath the green leafy trees,

You see all of the giraffes so peacefully curled up on the ground.

Their long,

Long necks curved around and relaxed.

And resting so easily on their long front legs.

And every giraffe is smiling so happily as you see each one snooze.

Even as the giraffes look so funny by twisting their necks into their strange sleeping positions.

Yet everyone appears to be so cosy and calm.

And all this fun,

Relaxing,

Happy time.

Perhaps you've really begun to notice that King Leopold the Lion is so powerful and proud and compassionate.

Because here you see and know he has such great respect for the circle of life.

And each and every night he chooses to check in on his sleeping animal kingdom.

Always to make sure they are sleeping so safe and sound.

Feeling blissfully protected as they sleep.

And you see and understand now that Leo Jr.

Loves learning from his father and also having lots of mischievous fun along the way.

And I wonder as you all continue to explore some more if you'll be surprised to discover that every night the lions watch over the entire circle of life.

From the sleepy elephants,

To the resting eagles,

To the relaxing meerkats,

And all the sleeping zebras.

If you'll remember how every sleeping,

Happy animal of the lands are all looked after by the protective night watch of King Leopold the Lion.

Now with this sleepy,

Restful night watch now all done.

More likely feeling such joy in your heart and so happy to be having such incredible sleep time fun.

Feeling and being part of this lion's pride.

As together you all now travel all the way back over the soft,

Sleepy grasslands.

All the way back to the biggest rock in the savanna.

Which you see has a lovely,

Cosy,

Calming cave here.

And inside this safest cave is where you find Mama Lion and Leo Junior's brothers and sisters.

And the rest of your lion's pride family is now sleeping and sleeping.

And so feeling very curious,

But becoming so much more tired than before.

You just crawl inside this smooth,

Sleepy cave along with all of the sleepy lions.

And you all lie down to sleep in a warmest and safest and softest space waiting here just for you.

Because this sleepy,

Lovely cave is so dark and so cosy.

It feels so very warm and safe.

Living with the wonderful pride of lions.

As you all nestle together for your deep,

Deep sleep.

Feeling the soft fur of all the sleeping lions all around you.

And you feel so completely safe.

Falling asleep so easily.

Being protected and at home amongst the friendliest of all lions.

Because you are the most special new member of their sleeping lion's pride tonight.

And now as you relax even more and continue to sleep.

All you can hear is the lions snoozing and relaxing so happily together.

As you all enjoy a healthy,

Healing,

Restful night's sleep.

Your entire body relaxes and you sink down into sleep.

As you enjoy all your positive,

Lovely dreams of the savanna.

And you continue to feel so extremely happy inside.
