This is a sweet and gentle reminder that no matter what has happened to you,
You are okay.
Regardless of the chaos that may be ensuing in your life,
Everything is alright and if you feel a heightened state of anxiety or stress in this moment,
Know that you will make it through this.
It is all temporary.
Take some time to get as physically comfortable as you can,
Laying or sitting,
Covering yourself with a blanket,
Easing your muscles with pillows.
Let this be the most relaxing experience that your body has had all day.
And when you feel you are exactly where you are meant to be,
Taking up as much space as necessary,
Close your eyes down,
And in the darkness,
In the space,
Feel yourself held.
Feel yourself cradled.
No matter how far the earth may have seemed from your feet amidst the intense or complicated situations of your day,
Feel in this moment,
Right now,
The magnitude of unwavering support you have underneath you,
Embracing your entire being.
Settle deeper into this.
Get heavier in the wake of what holds you.
You are safe.
You are strong.
You are able to endure the storms of your life.
Slowly begin to draw your awareness to your nostrils,
Feeling and noticing the air slowly entering and slowly leaving your nose,
All attention centered on your breath,
Smooth and steady,
In and out through your nose,
Keep breathing smoothly,
Keep breathing slowly,
Letting the air enter and exit your body with ease,
Relax your forehead,
Unclench your jaw,
Keep breathing slowly and release any residual tensions from your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your fingers,
Your toes.
The next time that you breathe out,
Breathe out completely,
Let it all go,
And then inhale through your nose to the count of 4,
3,
2,
1,
Exhale 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1,
Breathing in for 4,
3,
2,
1,
Exhale 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1,
Inhale 4,
Exhale 6,
Breathing in for 4,
Breathing out for 6,
Continue breathing,
Continue counting this breath silently,
Staying present with each inhale and each exhale,
Feeling every drip of air as it enters for 4,
And every drop of air as it exits for 6,
And if you lose count,
There is no trouble at all,
Return back to breathing in for 4,
And breathing out for 6,
With each longer exhale,
The air pours out of you,
Your burdens and your problems leaving with it,
Exaggerated exhales will downregulate your nervous system,
And soon you will begin to feel more and more relaxed,
More and more calm,
More and more calm,
Keep counting your breath,
Take one last deep full breath in through your nose,
Keep that air inside of you,
Collect any last stressors,
Doubts,
Worries,
Heaviness,
Anything that may still be lingering,
And then part your lips,
Open your mouth,
And audibly exhale that breath away,
Exhale that breath away,
Return back to a natural,
Organic rhythm with your breath,
Notice how you feel,
Maybe you feel a little more peaceful,
Maybe you feel a little bit more grounded,
Maybe you're more accepting of the challenges that are being offered to you,
If you do feel even 1% better than when you began,
Lighter,
Lighter,
More optimistic,
Take comfort in knowing that this,
You created,
You made these feelings possible,
And you can come back here anytime you need to,
You are safe,
You are strong,
And you will make it through this,
Have a beautiful rest of your day
