Hello,
This is Guy and welcome to our 22nd key of 31 keys to change your destiny.
Before I get to the title of this particular key,
Let's just have a brief refreshment on what it is that we've been looking at in the first 21 keys.
When we talk about the possibility of changing our destiny,
We're talking about the necessity of understanding that our being,
Who and what we are in each and every moment,
Is in fact our future.
And the more we understand the truth of that,
That already within us,
Just waiting for our realization of it,
Is that who we really are is always perfectly present.
It doesn't revisit the past and it doesn't try to imagine a future because it is complete within itself.
And we here,
If you will,
This higher level of ourselves,
Call to us in every one of those wishes that comes where we see in one way or another,
Which brings us to the 22nd of our keys,
That we have given away our life because the 22nd key is to have your own life.
We all know this,
At least we should without taking too much thought,
That there is no pleasing the fear that we may displease someone else.
Think about how many times,
In order to keep peace,
You've done what you know you shouldn't do or didn't want to do,
Being more concerned about what that other person thought about you,
Than you were conscious of what it cost you to win that approval.
So allowing what others may feel about what you want,
Meaning that you let what they want from you change the way you feel about the same thing that you want,
It's like believing that someone else can put on your sweater and you'll feel the warmth of it.
The only real pleasure,
The real power to change our destiny,
Comes from not only knowing that we have our own life,
But that our life is our life to take back right now and in every moment where we find ourselves giving our life away in the hope that somehow what we get back is going to be what we want.
