The 27th key in our 31 keys to change your destiny isn't just something that will help us change our life from the inside out,
But will help us change our life as we go through that process.
The 27th key is called Get One Thing Done.
We've been looking at some pretty important ideas and principles in the 26 keys that we've looked at so far.
But one of the main themes that runs through all of these keys is that our possibilities in this life,
By whatever name we give to our immeasurable faculty to transcend ourselves and change our destiny,
Our possibilities are as unlimited as we are willing to consciously meet our own present set of limitations.
That really can't be repeated enough because although it doesn't seem so to us,
Those anxious thoughts and feelings that come along,
For instance,
We're seated at our desk at work or we're home and we've got a list of things to do or what we want to accomplish,
And suddenly just looking at that list and what's implied if we don't complete it,
We can be filled with a stream of anxious thoughts and feelings telling us that we need to rush,
That we've got all of these things to do and if we don't get them done,
Then we know what's going to happen and it's not going to be good.
But we're talking about meeting those kind of thoughts and feelings and the conditions that create them from a new order of understanding.
So with that in mind,
Here's what it means to get one thing done.
It sounds contradictory at first,
But you'll see the wisdom in it if you'll work with the principle.
Never mind how much there is to do,
No matter how many things there are on that list.
Doesn't matter how difficult the tasks are going to be ahead of us.
Ignore the list.
Get one thing done on it.
That's it.
If it helps make the list,
I do.
But after I've made the list,
I never let it overpower me,
Overcome me with consequences if I don't succeed with getting them all done in the first seven seconds of my life.
Get one thing done at a time and then take that step again.
That's it.
Consciously,
Deliberately,
Catch the parts of you that are trying to tell you,
Oh dear,
You're never going to get it done.
Nothing good is going to come from this.
Time to take a nap or go have a snack.
We know that drill.
Do what is in your power.
Refuse to do what is not.
It is not in your power to get everything done at once.
It is in your power to do one thing at a time.
Refuse to deal with what is not.
The most beautiful tapestry in the world begins and ends with one of 10,
000 individual threads.
And so will our destiny change,
Our capacity to complete what we know we must.
As we understand,
We're not here to get everything done at once.
We're here to be who we are and to see that when we can do that,
We'll get one thing done.
And then with each thing done,
We'll understand the beauty of meeting life from that understanding.
Join me tomorrow when we pick up the 28th key,
Which is called Go Quiet.
Thanks for listening.
Bye for now.
