Welcome to this short relaxation meditation.

This is Gurri,

And I will guide you through an awareness technique that will help you to be present in the moment.

Most of the time when we are not in the present,

We are either thinking in the future or in the past.

This can bring an imbalance in between your mind and body.

Find your most comfortable position,

Keeping your back straight but not too stiff.

You can sit or lay down.

We're going to practice triangle awareness technique.

I found this technique through my years of experience dealing with stressful situations and looking for a more mindful approach which is easy to apply.

As a triangle has three sides and each side has an internal angle measuring 60 degrees,

We're going to do something very similar.

With the triangle awareness technique,

You will try to come back to the present moment.

You're going to shift your awareness to three areas and we'll keep your awareness on each object for 60 seconds.

Now close your eyes and keep on breathing naturally.

Bring your awareness on the environment around you.

Try to notice if you can hear any sound.

Becoming more curious of all the sounds that you are perceiving through your ears.

Try to notice more than three sounds.

Now watch yourself.

Start.

Now,

Bring your awareness on your body.

Then your body from head to toe.

Also try to notice the connection in between your body and the floor.

Now,

Bring your awareness on your body.

Now,

Bring your awareness on your breath.

Notice the gentle expansion of your belly and chest when you inhale and soft contraction of your belly and chest when you exhale.

Try to become curious of this natural cycle.

Now,

Bring your awareness on your body.

Now,

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold your breath and a big sigh through your mouth.

You can sit in the silence or gently open your eyes.

You are now more aware of your present.

Namaste.
