Hello and thank you for taking time to pause with me today in this guided seat.

As we begin,

Take some time here to find a comfortable seat and close your eyes.

As you settle in,

Notice the floor,

Chair,

Or props beneath you,

Supporting you.

Then allow your hands to rest comfortably on your legs or in your lap.

Check in with your spine.

From this grounded seat,

Lengthen your spine as you sit tall.

Then invite the shoulders to soften and grow heavy.

Allow your breath to be whatever it is right now,

Knowing that it is perfect because it is yours.

Now imagine yourself sitting in a car.

You are driving along a road on a beautiful day,

Feeling the warm sun and cool breeze as you travel along.

Here in the car,

You take a look in your rear view mirror and see everything that has happened up until this moment.

You know that this is officially the past.

And with that simple fact,

Allow it to fade into the distance.

Coming back to being here in your car,

You take the gaze out in front of you,

Onto the horizon.

Notice what your horizon looks like.

Maybe there are trees,

Mountains,

Or just a crisp blue sky as far as the eye can see.

Knowing the fact that everything out there on the horizon is the future,

And knowing there is nothing to be done about that just now,

Allow it to become fuzzy,

A blurred mirage on the horizon.

And with the past fading into the background,

The future a blurry mirage in the distance,

We bring ourselves back to here and now.

Embracing this one moment,

The only one that exists,

Celebrating the opportunity to simply do one thing.

Breathe in this moment,

Here and now.

You may notice over time that the mirages become clear,

Or the items behind you appear closer than they are in your side view mirror.

Simply acknowledge that that has happened,

And choose to bring yourself back to here and now.

Your daily practice can be as simple as noticing the drifting of the mind,

And then choosing to gently draw it back to here and now.

You can support your practice with a mantra,

I am here.

This is now.

Take some time to linger here in your seat,

And as needed,

Repeat the mantra,

I am here.

This is now.

Take some time to linger here in your seat,

And as needed,

Repeat the mantra,

I am here.

This is now.

Take some time to linger here in your seat,

And as needed,

Repeat the mantra,

I am here.

Then take a breath in,

And out.

Begin to bring your awareness back to this space.

Take gentle movement to your body,

Wiggling fingers and toes,

Rotating wrists and ankles.

And as you are ready,

Gently blinking your eyes open.

Thank you for joining me on a journey to the present moment.

Until our paths cross again.

Namaste.

Really like this one!!! Great visualization and a great mantra for times when saying something over and over is more effective than is focusing on Breath. Sometimes after a day full of stress and distraction, you just need that! Thank you very much!!!🌺🙏🌺
