Sit down comfortably.
Keep your back and neck straight.
Consciously relax your body.
Arrive in your body here and now.
Observe the natural flow of your breathing.
Notice if it is shallow or deep.
Notice if it is long or short.
Notice if it is smooth or jerking.
Remember a time in your life when you felt really confident.
It could also be a time when you felt one of the other strengths connected to confidence,
Such as courage or determination.
Remember everything you can about that time in your life.
Where you were,
What you were doing.
Who you were with,
What was at stake,
And any other important details.
Remember your self-talk.
And how you were feeling.
Make it as real as possible,
Until you feel that empowered state again here and now.
If you don't have any memories of the confidence you want to feel.
Then you could imagine what such confidence feels like.
And embrace that state.
Now locate the place in your body where you feel the confidence.
If it's in more than one place,
Select the place where it is the strongest For many people,
The sensations of confidence include things like a sense of expansion in the chest,
Focused energy in the spine or in the gut,
The body warming up.
Or a general sense of being grounded,
Strong and energized.
Yet the experience is unique for every person.
Find yours.
Focus on the sensations of confidence in your body.
Observe them carefully.
Try to get as much clarity about the sensations as you can.
Hold on to these sensations Pay attention to them moment after moment.
Making them the object of your meditation.
Moment after moment,
You are focused on these footprints of confidence in your body,
In your energy.
And thinking of nothing else,
Worrying about nothing else,
Just merging with them.
Now have the intention of expanding those sensations.
Feel that they are getting stronger.
They are consolidating.
Allow yourself to enjoy this state.
Let it grow inside you.
As we are now closing this practice.
Know that whenever you need to rekindle this state of confidence,
You can do that by remembering how it feels in your body.
And consciously recreating those sensations.
This is your self-confidence button.
You can then support this process by evoking the self-talk of confidence and the feelings of confidence.
This means that you can now generate confidence at will.
And every time you do that,
It becomes a little easier.
To do it again.
Have the intention now of carrying this confidence into your day.
And remembering to tap into it whenever you need it.
