May this practice bring you blessings.

There's nothing you have to do,
Just simply rest.
To make yourself fully comfortable,
Lie down on your back in Shavasana.
If lying on your back feels uncomfortable,
Just choose a position that completely supports you,
Where your body can rest and where you won't be distracted.
Let your arms rest gently by your side,
Your palms open to receive.
Let your feet and legs fall apart so you've got all that space.
Close your eyes as you start connecting deeper with that inner universe.
Soften through your shoulders,
Through your jaw,
Through your breath.
Let each breath help you ground more and more into this present moment.
Into this restful space.
Let the ground,
The earth,
Just hold you.
You don't have to hold anything now.
You are held and supported here.
It's your time to receive,
To restore,
To soften.
Let's enter this peaceful space with a few deep cleansing breaths as you consciously release all the tension of the day.
So first just exhale to leave your lungs completely empty,
Then take a slow,
Deep breath in.
Then exhale with a gentle sigh.
And again,
Inhale.
And exhale.
And again,
Inhale.
Few more times like this,
With each inhale filling yourself with peace.
With each exhale,
Totally releasing and letting go.
Allowing your whole body to begin to melt,
Melt deeper and deeper into the restful space,
Into the earth.
And again,
I remind you that here you are safe,
You are supported and that you can let go.
Let's bring your awareness to the space of your heart now.
Your heart as the centre of your being,
As the home of your soul,
Of love within you.
And in this space,
Gently invite a sankalpa,
A heartfelt intention,
A seed of healing.

Now let go of your sankalpa and let's begin a journey of awareness through your body.

Feel your right hand thumb,
The second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Little finger,
The whole palm of your right hand,
The back of your hand,
The left hand,
The left hand,
The left hand,
The left hand,

Right wrist,
Your forearm,
And all the muscles inside your forearm,
Your right elbow,
The upper arm,
And all the muscles inside your upper arm.
Your shoulder,
Your armpit,
The whole right arm.
Now feel your right waist,
Right hip,
And the thigh,
Your right knee,
The calf,
Your ankle,
The heel,
Sole of your right foot,
Sole of your left foot,
Top of your foot,
The right big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
And fifth toe.
Feel all the toes from your right foot.
Now move to the left hand thumb,
The second finger,
Third,
And the little finger,
Your whole left palm,
Back of your hand,
The left wrist,
The forearm,
And all the muscles in your forearm.
The left elbow,
The upper arm,
And all the muscles inside.
The left shoulder,
The armpit,
Left waist.
Now the whole left arm,
The left side of your waist,
Left hip,
The thigh,
The knee,
The calf,
Left ankle,
The heel,
The sole of your left foot,
Top of your foot,
The big toe,
The second toe,
The fifth toe.
Now every toe on your left foot.
Now bring your awareness to the back of your body,
Feeling your right buttock,
The left buttock,
Your lower back,
Mid back,
The upper back,
Your shoulder blades resting softly,
Then the whole front of your body,
Your lower belly,
The navel,
The solar plexus,
Heart centre,
Your chest,
The collar bones,
Your throat,
Feel your face,
Your jaw,
The upper and lower lips,
Your tongue.
Both of your cheeks,
Your nose and the space inside your nose,
Your eyelids,
Your eyes,
And the space behind your eyes,
Your forehead,
The scalp,
The crown of your head.
Now feel your whole face relaxed,
The whole front of your body,
Your torso relaxed,
Both of your arms together,
Both of your legs together,
The whole back of your body all supportive.
Now feel your whole body as one,
In stillness,
In softness,
In stillness,
Your whole body totally relaxed.
Let's bring your attention back to your breath,
Natural,
Effortless,
Unforced.
Feel the belly gently rise as you inhale,
And fall as you exhale.
With each breath,
Your body relaxes more deeply.
With each breath,
You soften,
You let go,
You truly release that need to control and surrender to life.
Inhale,
Healing.
Exhale,
Release.
Inhale,
Stillness.
Exhale,
Surrender.
Now imagine the breath as a healing wave rolling in and out,
Calming every cell of your body.
Those healing waves are also bringing a healing light,
A soft golden light,
So warm,
So gentle and nourishing.
See it glowing above your body and then slowly pouring down over you like liquid sunlight.
Feel it touch your forehead,
Bringing peace and delight to your thoughts.
Feel it touch down over your face,
Releasing any tension from your jaw,
From your teeth,
From your face,
Then over your throat,
Clearing any heaviness or blockages in the space.
Let this light flow into your heart,
Expanding,
Soothing,
Holding your emotions in deep compassion.
Then moving to your belly,
Restoring that balance,
That health,
Awakening creative energy.
And then down through your hips and legs,
Letting it flow freely through your whole body now,
Feeling every bone,
Every muscle,
Every cell,
Every organ,
Every organ,
Every organ.
Filling every space,
It's like you are bathed in that light.
You are bathed and supported with that light,
With that safety,
With that love,
With that grounding sensation.
Let your body just rest here,
Allowing the space for healing and silence.
This is your loving and restful space.
Feel free to stay here,
Gently deepening your resting space,
Deepening that relaxation as you melt down to sleep.
Know that your body has so much power to heal,
To be strong,
To be graceful even when life gets hard.
Staying here,
Melting down to your awareness,
Melting down to this peaceful,
Loving and soothing space.
The Earth is holding you here.
