Take your time to prepare a cup of cacao or any ritual drink or food you would like to connect with.
Come back to this audio when you are in a comfortable space and ready to start the meditation.
Find a comfortable position to meditate,
Maybe doing some gentle stretches.
As you deepen your breath,
Close the eyes and draw your attention inward,
Feeling the sensations of your body and how you are feeling right now.
And we are going to start with a grounding exercise.
So I invite you to visualize a bright energy in the area of the chest,
The heart space.
Send your breath to the heart and feel this energy radiating from the heart to the rest of the body.
Imagine a golden thread or a beam of light traveling from the sky,
The core of the universe,
Through your crown,
All the way down through your spine and arriving at the heart.
Feel this fresh shower of subtle energy traveling down and arriving at the heart space.
And now imagine another golden thread or beam of light that connects your heart with the earth,
The core of the earth.
Going from the earth,
Traveling up through your sacrum,
Your spine and arriving at the heart space.
Feel the nurturing,
Supportive energy from the earth grounding you.
Notice how your body is also made out of energy,
It's like a pillar of energy connecting both energies from the universe and the earth right at the center of the heart space.
Feeling yourself grounded but also connected to the subtle energies of the universe.
Grab your cup of cacao and place it at the center of the heart,
Feel its warmth,
You may even notice the smell,
Connect to your breath.
We honor the four elements,
The four directions and the spirit of the cacao plant.
In your own way ask the cacao spirit and its loving presence to guide you back into your heart,
Your true nature.
If there's another intention that you would like to have,
This is the time to connect to this intention.
In the past the cacao was offered in sacred ceremonies so I invite you to inquire,
Is there a sacred part of yourself that you would like to offer this cacao to?
Mindfully with your eyes closed start taking the cacao,
Welcoming the cacao with your senses,
Enjoy the taste,
The smell,
The warmth.
Deep by deep receiving this sacred medicine,
Feeling its warmth traveling through your body and opening the heart.
Make this space for yourself to be present,
To connect with the cacao and to connect to your heart.
And as you continue sipping,
Relax all body parts,
Invite a sense of ease,
Effortlessness and relaxation.
Give yourself some minutes to mindfully drink the cacao at your own time and if it feels like this,
Maybe you can do any other gentle movements or a journaling practice or a meditation.
