Hello and welcome to this lucid dream incubation recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story.
It can either be listened to for fun or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However if you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed or whilst falling to sleep.
So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep then use this time to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed and do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And when my voice returns in a minute or two,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
You come to in a shifting kaleidoscope of colours.
Strange shapes surround you,
Slowly morphing from one form to another.
And with a flash,
They're gone.
Then back again,
Slightly shifted to the right.
This time a different colour.
And then gone again.
You quietly watch this back and forth dance.
Changing.
Building and collapsing.
A flash of a face comes,
First animate then frozen in place.
In the beginning,
You don't realise what you're seeing,
But eventually you recognise it.
That's hypnagogia.
You're entering the dream space.
Lucid.
And the offset.
You now emerge fully into the dreamscape.
With a whoosh propelled forward as if shot out of a cannon.
The scene is flickering and unstable.
But as a sense of your dream body composes itself,
The dream begins to settle down.
To stabilise.
I'm dreaming,
You say,
To help ground the scene further.
I'm lucid dreaming.
You follow up,
Getting to your feet and looking around.
You take in the wondrous skyline.
At first you think you're seeing clouds,
But then you realise it's not quite as simple as that.
Godrays,
Could you call them?
Even that doesn't quite capture it.
There are layers upon layers peeling away and sizzling.
It's a sky,
But not any sort of sky you've ever seen before.
One layer drops away,
Then it's frozen in place,
And a new one appears over it,
More vibrant than the one before.
You feel bewildered by the complexity of the colours and patterns and shifting forms you're seeing,
But all the while you stay grounded and focused within the scene,
Moving your eyes around it and rubbing your hands together.
The more time you spend within this lucid dream,
The stranger it becomes.
You now find yourself sitting in a caf,
A futuristic space caf,
A totally new scene.
You're drinking some sort of purple fizzy drink.
As you slurp on it,
You feel it flow down your dream throat,
Bubbling as it goes.
It's somehow both warm and cold simultaneously,
Wet and dry.
You look over to the entrance and see yourself stride in through the revolving door,
Or at least your doppelganger.
Then with a blink of an eye,
He's sitting by you,
Looking you up and down keenly.
He rode a horse,
He says,
From original source.
His lookmpers are ears!
And again the scene changes,
Now to the foyer of a cinema.
Yet still,
Your lucidity remains intact.
You decide to check in with yourself before continuing.
Remember I'm dreaming,
You think.
Everything I'm experiencing is inside my own mind.
And with a whoosh,
A dream character wraps an arm around your shoulder and hurries you away.
You know you really must meet him,
He says.
Who?
You inquire,
Getting sucked in by the dream plot.
Well,
Some call him Spider the Spacesuit Rider.
He shoots back,
As you turn a bend and approach a large,
Imposing looking structure.
The dream character points up to it,
Motioning for you to go through.
He wants to meet you in the space between time.
You crouch to the left and turn a dime.
You follow his directions and feel your dream body warping as you do,
Entering an entirely new space.
You can finally hop in,
Or leave.
In this new space,
Time seems to stand still.
The dream character's gone now and it's just you again.
You once more compose yourself,
Gathering your thoughts and reiterating the fact you're dreaming.
Remember I'm dreaming.
Remember I'm dreaming.
Remember I'm dreaming.
Lucidity is still strong but your will to control the unfolding events is almost non-existent.
And you're okay with that.
You're along for the ride.
And just as you think,
Ride,
You start to hear galloping,
Off in the distance,
The sound of horses feet on stone ground.
You look around for your man,
The man they've been talking about.
And at first,
You see nothing.
But then,
With a flash,
The scene rips in two,
Like curtains parting.
And out of the void,
Emerges the man that some call Spider.
There.
Spider is quite the eccentric looking character,
A fallen angel of sorts.
He wears a space suit,
On horseback,
With wings that span six feet.
And his horse is a wonder too.
Sleek white coat,
And jet black marble eyes.
A jeweled and sparkling headpiece.
You look up in awe as he approaches,
Wondering who he represents,
And what message he wants to impart.

You're now face to face with Spider.
He takes off his helmet and lays his hand on your shoulder.
Glad you made it,
He says nonchalantly,
Smiling.
Who are you,
You inquire.
What part of my psyche do you represent?
He chuckles,
Placing his helmet neatly on the ground.
It's all symbols with you,
Isn't it?
You're drunk on symbols,
He says.
You keep your eyes locked with his,
Not imposing your will,
Just listening.
Not everything's a message,
You know.
We don't all have something to share.
But maybe I have something for you.
He looks around cautiously before leaning in.
In each compartment of our mind is a rider,
With a finger on the back.
I am one,
You are whole,
And others bring it whole.
So one by one reveal them,
Then travel by their side.
Become them,
Outrun them,
And the more that I'll confide,
The more that I'll confide.
You chew over his words as he disappears and the scene shifts once more.
