Hello,
I'm Rhys Jones,
And welcome to this Lucid Dream Incubation Recording.
What follows is a lucid dreaming story,
Influenced by one of my own lucid dreams.
It can either be listened to for fun,
Or with the intent to sow seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.
If you're listening just for fun,
Then you are,
Of course,
Free to put this on at any time during the day or night.
However,
If you decide to listen with the intent to incubate a lucid dream,
Then we recommend listening to it either just before getting into bed,
Or whilst falling to sleep.
So I'll now give you a moment to decide how you want to proceed.
If you decide to put this on whilst you're falling to sleep,
Then use this time now to prepare for that.
Turn off your lights,
Draw your curtains,
Get into bed,
And do whatever else you need in order to feel fully settled.
And when my voice returns in a moment,
The lucid dream incubation will begin.
You're dreaming,
Non-lucidly.
Events flow by you,
Passively.
You're vaguely aware of what's happening,
But you're disconnected.
Your consciousness only barely turned on.
The environment feels dull and lifeless,
And things go on like this for a while.
A new person walks by.
You feel nothing.
A new environment spawns.
You're unmoved.
Strange unexplainable things happen,
One after another after another.
And yet,
Nothing clicks.
The penny doesn't drop,
Until,
Eventually,
Something deep within you gently stirs.
Something long lost and ancient,
And it prods at you,
Hinting at something unnamed.
You wrestle with this prodding for a while.
At first,
Denying its hints,
But then,
You turn towards it.
Where am I?
You wonder.
The thought bubbling up from the depths of your consciousness,
In a way that takes you off-guard.
What am I doing?
You stop in your tracks and look around,
Seriously pursuing the answers to your questions.
You do not recognize where you are.
You do not recognize what you're doing.
And so,
The truth shows its face.
Perhaps I'm dreaming,
You wonder,
Lifting your hand and pushing your finger through your palm.
Ah,
Yes,
I'm dreaming,
All right.
Exhilaration surges through you,
And you take a few deep breaths in and out to still yourself,
Knowing that you're now free to explore the dream world in whatever way you see fit.
For a moment,
You feel spoiled for choice.
You remember what you'd planned,
A flying spree,
You think.
And so,
With mere thought alone,
You will yourself off the ground,
The action effortless.
Gravity puts up the tiniest of struggles for the tiniest of moments,
But it's quickly disarmed.
After hovering for a few seconds,
You soar off into the sky,
The wind lapping at your hair.
You're soaring high above a breathtaking landscape of rolling green meadows and vibrant wildflowers.
Unbelievable,
You whisper to yourself.
I'm lucid dreaming,
You shout at the top of your lungs.
As you shout,
Colorful rays shoot from your mouth,
Representing the words spoken.
You go higher,
The warm sunlight bathing you in a golden glow,
And you float there like an angel,
Absorbing the sun's energy and enjoying the spectacle of the light rays.
And now,
You dip down from that staggering height,
And up,
Up,
Up again,
And then right back down,
Feeling the rush of wind against your face as you revel in the joy of flight.
After a while,
Your mind turns to what's next,
Perhaps a change of scenery,
You think.
And once more,
With mere intention alone,
The dream morphs,
And you find yourself soaring not over meadows and wildflowers,
But now,
Over a vast ocean instead.
The crystal clear waters stretch as far as the eyes can see,
Teeming with all sorts of marine life.
You dive down to get a closer look,
Hovering just above the surface,
Eyeing up a school of fish and a bale of turtles,
Before plunging below the surface and discovering an underwater wonderland.
Now you ascend from the depths of the ocean,
Bursting back through the water's surface and out into open space.
You notice that your dream environment has shifted again,
This time unintentionally.
I'm never quite in full control,
You think humbly.
You're surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains.
You look to the right,
You look to the left,
And that's all you can see.
Wow,
You mutter in awe.
The air grows crisp and invigorating as you navigate between the jagged peaks.
You weave through narrow valleys and swoop over icy lakes,
Marveling at the majestic beauty of the alpine landscape.
What an incredible lucid dream.
In an instant,
The dream transforms once more.
You find yourself amid a bustling cityscape,
Skyscrapers everywhere,
Reaching up towards the heavens.
You effortlessly navigate between the buildings,
Marveling at their size,
Feeling the pulse of urban energy below you.
The city streets look active down there,
Filled with people going about their lives.
Remember though,
They're just dream characters,
You think,
Swooping down to take a closer look.
You're amazed that your mind is creating all of this on the fly.
After your curiosity to observe the dream characters is sated,
You decide to change the scene once more.
You begin to imagine a lush,
Mystical forest,
With giant trees and glowing flora.
And just like that,
You're there,
The people and the buildings disappearing,
And the beauty of nature emerging in its wake.
You swoosh through the trees,
Fireflies orbiting around you as you go,
Casting their ethereal glow across your field of vision.
You sense an ancient wisdom emanating from them,
And you feel grateful to be by their side.
Eventually,
Your lucid dream begins to fade,
But the memories of your exhilarating journey through different environments linger.
You awaken with a sense of wonder and gratitude,
Getting up out of bed and starting your day.
But then,
You realize you haven't actually awoken at all.
Aha,
A false awakening,
You think,
Chuckling to yourself and re-grounding the scene.
There's still more of your lucid dream to be experienced after all.
Over to you.
If you listened to this lucid dreaming story just for fun,
I hope you enjoyed it.
And if you listened for induction purposes,
Then I hope this parting message now finds you relaxed and drifting.
Your lucid dreaming seeds have been sown.
Your mind has been primed for sleep.
And so,
With that,
I draw this session to a close.
Remember,
You are a lucid dreamer.
Never forget it.
Happy dreaming.
