And by the way,
There is no hierarchy of trauma.
Some things cause more pain than others but the trauma is a trauma.
In today's world,
We have so many distractions that allow us to avoid facing what's happening inside.
People lose the capacity to sit with their thoughts and feelings.
But ignoring your pain and trauma does not make it go away.
The only way to heal is to confront it head on.
Writing my book was not easy.
In fact,
Quite difficult and at times very very uncomfortable.
But it was also therapeutic.
Because I revisited traumatic events from my life and decoded them in order to put them into words.
I'm not gonna lie,
It was very intense but it really helped me heal.
You see,
We all experience hardships and trauma.
It's important not to ignore their influence and instead seek help when needed.
Don't be ashamed to ask for help.
It shows bravery and empowerment.
So what intense emotion should you deal with sooner than later?
Writing your thoughts down can be very helpful to process and heal.
Well that's what helped me cope with my PTSD.
