Often we think that creating a specific situation will guarantee the desired emotion however the situation alone is not the answer You can be safe and not feel safe.
You can be free and not feel free.
You can be secure and not feel secure.
You can be heard and not feel heard.
You can be rich and not feel rich.
We chase the illusion that things will be different and better in the future but when we get there there is something else we lack and desire.
So we go from one lack to another.
Some people have millions but feel less free safe and secure than others who almost have nothing.
Others are surrounded by people and have tons of friends but feel very lonely.
Ultimately it's not about what we have it's about how we feel about it.
If you don't feel it it's as if you don't have it and vice versa.
So what if instead of setting goals in the future for the desired feelings we focus on generating those feelings in our current circumstances.
We can't always change our situation but we can always change how we feel about it.
This is the part of our mind.
Our emotions are within reach anytime anywhere.
The day I understood that I switched from pursuing goals from a place of lack to a mindset focused on growth.
So go create the feelings you crave for today and then go after your big ambitious goals.
