Sit down with yourself as if you were a friend.
Sitting with yourself is already a meditation.
You're already meditating.
What comes to mind?
Why do you usually get up and stop meditating?
Do you feel bored?
Afraid to be alone with yourself?
How do you feel?
I am listening.
You get distracted.
This is normal.
This is how the mind works.
Don't give yourself a hard time.
Just kindly bring your mind back to how you feel.
Are you judging your feelings as good,
Bad or neutral?
Try not to judge.
Just feel it.
Give it some space within you.
What is it?
Insist on sitting for a while longer.
Sit here with yourself as you would do with a friend.
Befriend yourself in this way.
Connect with yourself.
Learn to be in silence.
What is it that comes to mind?
Are you coming up with things to do?
List some plants.
Let them go.
You will come back to that later.
Just listen to yourself,
To how you feel.
You may get distracted again.
You may want to get up and go.
Look at the mind trying to take control of you.
It wants movement.
But you can resist it and allow yourself to be still.
Say to yourself,
I am listening.
