Good evening.

Please settle in,

Comfortably,

As we start a session of progressive relaxation which will help you to fall asleep.

But first,

Let's take a few deep breaths to slow down our brain activity.

We will inhale until 4,

Hold our breath until 3 and breathe out until 5.

Close your eyes.

And breathe in,

And breathe in,

Breathe out,

You feel more relaxed now.

And as you continue to breathe slowly and in a rhythm,

Your muscles relax too.

Bring your attention to the top of your head.

Imagine a warm sensation taking over your head.

This energy flows in your body along your spine,

Passing through each of your energy centers or chakras and up to the end of your spine where the coccyx is.

You open yourself up to this soothing warmth that deeply relaxes you as it touches every organ and muscle in your body.

You follow the movements of your breath.

I breathe in and I breathe out slowly.

I experience the cool air filling up my lungs.

When I exhale,

I feel the warm air that comes out.

I relax a little more with each breath.

So I breathe in and I breathe out.

I breathe in and I breathe out gently.

That's it.

Now I can see in the distance a mysterious path.

As I approach,

I notice the red ground.

The color is stunning.

As I walk one step after the other,

My muscles relax at 10.

At 10,

I feel light,

Heavy and light,

Heavy and light.

One step.

Two steps.

Three steps.

Four.

Relaxing,

Enjoying.

I see in the distance another path and I can hear a noise.

And as I approach,

I see a jungle.

I am greeted by the sounds of animals,

Plants,

The wind in the trees.

I am not afraid.

I am attracted by so much beauty.

I breathe in.

This pure air charged with oxygen.

It feels so good.

I enjoy breathing deeply.

I am curious so I continue my journey through this jungle.

Even more.

I raise my head and my eyes reach the top of the gigantic tree.

I lower my eyes to the ground level as I discover small exotic insects of all kinds of colors.

So beautiful that I take pictures and pictures in my mind.

My gaze is attracted to the left.

It is a toucan,

A baby who sings,

Magnificent,

With a yellow beak and a red body with a green beak.

A bird so stunning that it seems unreal.

I feel relaxed.

As I continue my progression,

I start to feel tired,

Very tired.

So I decide to take a break because right there,

In front of me,

I can see a huge tree that I had never seen before.

I breathe in and out.

I lie down in this bed which is offered to me and at ten,

I feel more and more tired.

My eyes are heavy.

I enjoyed this and felt very relaxed though wide awake. The sounds of the birds were stimulating rather than sedating.
