For some of us, the festive season can be extremely overwhelming. On top of the usual stressors of everyday life, we now have to manage the additional obligations, commitments, expenses, social interactions, and changes in routine that are all but forced upon us. This course will give you strategies to plan and prioritize your commitments, self-care ideas to rest and recover post-event, as well as stay regulated. You will learn a collection of mindfulness, calm breathing, present state awareness, and loving-kindness meditations aimed at helping you not only survive but thrive. You will be introduced to some basic shadow work and inner child practices to manage any emotionality and inner responses that arise and encouraged to explore your inner state with an attitude of self-acceptance. You will be given the confidence to set boundaries and say no to what will detract from you, thus giving you the inner space and energy to say yes to what will bring you happiness. It’s time to reclaim the childhood joy we once felt for the festive season, but in a way that is balanced against our personalities, desires, capabilities, and capacities as an adult. Let’s stay sane this festive season!
Zachary Phillips is a poet, author, meditation instructor, and mindset coach. He is also a qualified teacher, Reiki master, and is currently studying a Master of Counselling. Self Acceptance
In this session, we talk about the importance of self-awareness and acceptance with our self and our relationship to the festive season. If we know what brings us joy and what takes it away, what costs us energy and what grants it, and whose company we enjoy and why, we can make better choices. In order to do so, we must first accept ourselves for who and what we are, dropping the negative self-talk that often accompanies stepping into our strength and leaning into the choices that work best for us.

Planning, Prioritizing & Saying 'No'
This session begins with a discussion on the importance of boundary setting and the ability to say no. From there it provides some practical tips, tools, and techniques that you could use to plan and prioritize the events that arise over the festive season, granting you clarity on what matters and what can be politely declined.

Self-Care
In this session, we discuss how to implement self-care that works for you - that is, the activities, interventions, and habits that add to your life over time as well as to help you to survive the challenging moments as they arise.
Leçon 4
Mindfulness Meditation & Present State Awareness
In this session, you will be introduced to, and guided through, the practices of mindfulness meditation and present state awareness. Both of these can be used as a daily practice, a form of self-care, and an in-the-moment response to the stressors of the festive season.
Leçon 5
Calm Breathing & Loving-Kindness
In this session you will be introduced to, and guided through, the practices of calm breathing and loving-kindness meditation. By slowing down the breath, you will relax the body and thus calm the mind. This provides a positive feedback loop that can be used as an in the moment intervention or self-care. Loving-kindness meditation gives us a much needed boost of positivity and self-compassion - a perfect response to any feelings of overwhelm that may arise!

I felt like he knew me personally with all of my struggles and limitations. The class is full of helpful strategies and techniques! The delivery is very intimate and his voice is really incredible. Would definitely take more classes with him.
