Within the process of realizing your goals and manifesting your dreams,

Learning how to clearly and skillfully ask for what you want is a crucial step.

Many of us,

However,

Struggle with asking for what we want,

Whether professionally in our career or in other situations such as in our romantic or platonic relationships for a variety of reasons.

Within the creative cycle and the five elements,

The water element is associated with the phase of ideation and preconception.

And within the process of co-creation with the divine,

This is the phase of clarifying what it is you truly desire that you want to ask for and why it is so important to you,

Which is what we will dive into today.

Today,

I'll share with you three powerful questions to reflect on.

And for today's exercise,

It will be helpful to journal or pause the audio as you reflect on what surfaces from these questions.

You can take the next few moments to grab some writing materials such as your pen and paper or journal.

Let's take a deep breath in and a long breath out.

Another deep breath in and a long breath out.

One last round.

Let's take a deep breath in and a long breath out.

As you guide your awareness from outside to inside,

Noticing the inner landscape of you,

Connecting with the weight,

Shape,

And form of your physical body,

As well as the ebb and flow of your breath.

And then with your next exhale,

Allow your awareness to drop even deeper to the layer of you that is hearing the sound of my voice,

Processing these sounds into words.

Into phrases,

Into sentences,

And making sense of them,

Understanding and receiving the meaning from these words.

With your next exhale,

Let your awareness drop even deeper into the part of you that knows and knows that it knows.

The part of you that called you to embark on this journey to ask for what your heart's true desire is.

The first question is,

I wish I had the courage to ask for what.

How would you fill in the rest of this phrase?

What comes to mind and to heart?

What do you wish you had the courage to ask for?

Perhaps you really want a promotion at work,

Or for your partner to prioritize your needs in your romantic relationship.

Or perhaps you'd like your colleagues or family members to respect your boundaries and needs for self-care and solitary time.

Whatever it is you wish you had the courage to ask for,

Allow yourself to be as honest as you can with what it is you truly desire.

Feel free to pause this audio and journal or reflect on what is coming to surface from this question.

When you feel ready to move on,

The second question is,

It's important for me to ask for this because.

How would you fill in the rest of this phrase?

What comes to mind and to your heart?

Maybe it's important for you to ask for your promotion because that would provide you with more opportunities to grow and with financial security.

Maybe it's important to ask that your needs are prioritized in your romantic relationship,

Or that your boundaries are respected by your loved ones so you can feel truly happy and valued.

Feel free to pause this audio and journal or reflect on what's coming to surface from this question.

When you feel ready to move on,

The third and final question is,

If I could receive what I ask for,

I would feel.

How would you fill in the rest of this phrase?

What comes to mind?

And what comes to heart?

Maybe it would give you hope or feeling of security and safety.

Maybe it would bring you joy or pride.

Whatever it is,

Allow yourself to be open to it.

Whatever it is,

Allow yourself to be as honest as you can with how it would make you feel to be able to ask for and receive what it is you truly desire.

Feel free to pause this audio and journal or reflect on what's coming to surface from this question.

Now that we've clarified what it is you truly want,

You truly desire,

That you wish you had the courage to ask for,

We're now ready for the next step.
