Let's take a moment and get ready for this meditation.
Get ready to take a journey together and ready to have a little bit of fun and a time of play.
First,
Just make sure that you get comfortable either sitting or lying and in a position where you can have your breath flow nice and freely.
Just take some nice breaths in through your nose and just blow it out your mouth.
Really expel that breath.
Get rid of any old stale negative breath,
The old stale negative thinking.
Let that old negative energy just be released.
Big breath in and a big breath out.
One last time,
A nice long out breath.
Now just allow yourself to breathe at your normal rate,
Your normal rhythm,
However it's comfortable and think to yourself,
I'm ready to relax.
Let your body just rest and be at ease.
Can you just imagine now a place where you have been and you have been comfortable and safe.
Somewhere that's beautiful,
Somewhere that you find restful,
Peaceful and calm,
Somewhere in nature.
Imagine you're there now and let yourself really see every part of it.
See your surroundings.
Hear all of the sounds,
All of the noises of the trees,
The leaves,
The breeze.
Feel any sensations,
Maybe the sun on your skin,
Maybe the breeze in your hair.
As you're here fully and completely,
Know that you're safe,
Know that you're secure,
Know that everything is okay in this place.
And from where you are in this beautiful,
Peaceful place,
Look ahead just in the distance and see a young child playing.
See them ahead of you and they look happy and free,
Joyful,
Not a care in the world and they're totally immersed in their play.
Just watch where you are in your beautiful,
Safe place.
See how they jump or skip or run.
Hear how they laugh or sing and feel the energy of freedom and joy as you watch.
As you continue to watch,
Just remember back to a time in your own life when you felt playful and free and totally comfortable in your own skin.
To be happy and show your happiness,
To jump and run and skip,
To laugh and sing when your energy was filled with joy.
As you remember,
Just place your hand on your heart in the middle of your chest and allow yourself to really connect fully with this memory.
Just breathe.
Now watch as the child starts to move closer to you and see that you can recognize that they are you as a child.
They are you,
Your inner child.
As they draw closer,
See every detail.
See their hair,
Their face,
The clothes that they're wearing.
Notice the expression in their eyes.
And as you almost meet,
Just extend your hands so that you can join together.
Join together and play.
Play together with your inner child.
Join them and play and sing and dance and hop and jump and skip.
Be free and full of playfulness.
Be free and full of joy.
Be free and full of joy.
And come to rest together,
You and your inner child.
Take them in your arms and thank them for this time and say,
I am here for you.
I love you.
I love your playfulness.
I love your joyful spirit.
I accept you exactly as you are.
As your time together today in this moment draws to a close,
Know that they are always with you.
They're always near.
And that spirit of joy and playfulness,
That freedom and abandon,
That carefree passion,
That love of play is in you.
And you can access it at any time.
It's nothing to be ashamed of.
Celebrate it.
Celebrate this beautiful inner child within you.
And be thankful for this lovely experience together as you say goodbye for today.
Start to feel yourself return again to this place that you imagined in nature,
That is your safe and beautiful place.
The place where you know you're secure and protected.
See it again.
Hear all the sounds there.
Leaves,
The trees,
Rustling in the breeze.
Feel the sun on your skin.
And breathe in your hair.
And breathe.
As you start to return back to your regular day and your room that you sit in,
Keep any impressions,
Sensations,
Memories that fill you with joy.
Take them with you into the day.
Make your sense of playfulness and fun with you into this day.
Take a nice breath in your nose and out.
And one more last breath in and out.
Just slowly start to return.
