As we settle in.
Let's begin by finding a big,
Audible,
Even if fake,
Yawn.
Opening up the mouth.
Maybe a double inhale.
Stretching the jaw down and we'll do that another two or three times.
Just pretending to yawn if you haven't got one available.
And perhaps being curious if one finds you in the process.
Maybe you stretch your arms up and overhead this final time.
Nice.
Now let's create a little bit more of a stretch for the jaw.
So taking a pinch of your fingers on the top of the ear on each side and then with your fingers you're going to lift your ears up as if you're trying to stretch your ears up above you.
And while doing that,
See if you can pull your jaw down so your chin stretches down towards your collarbone.
And we're going to hold this position here so your mouth is wide.
Ideally we're stretching across the lips as wide as we can.
We're going to pause here with a deep breath in.
And a sigh out through the mouth.
Let's release.
We'll do that just one more time.
Reset on the ears,
So find a good grip on your ears with your fingers.
Pull your ears up towards the top of your head.
Open your mouth and stretch your jaw down towards your collarbone,
Pausing here.
As we pause,
Without moving the head,
We're going to turn the eyes over to the left.
Hold them there.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Let's go over to the other side.
Eyes look over to the right.
Pausing here.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Eyes blink back to centre,
We release the ears,
We release the jaw,
And maybe we close down the eyes here to soften.
To release.
We're going to take a deep breath in through the nose now,
Filling all the way up.
And breathing out through the mouth.
This time as you take a deep breath in through the nose.
Imagine puffing out the mouth here like a puffer fish.
This time as we breathe,
Maybe finding your horse breath,
So fluttering out the lips with an inhale.
And an exhale.
So whatever kind of breath you can manage there.
Going to take two more rounds,
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Final round,
Can it be the deepest inhale you've taken all day?
I'm releasing.
And once you've released this breath.
Letting a natural,
Gentle rhythm of breath return to you.
Imagining that you're holding a tiny bubble.
On the centre of your tongue as it detaches from the roof of your mouth.
How relaxed could you become through the hinges of your jaw?
Through the muscles in your mouth.
Your cheeks,
Your lips.
And when you're ready,
You can return to the space around you and continue into the rest of your day.
