This is Julie with Soul Science and welcome to a guided meditation.

So let's begin by finding our seat and it might be helpful just to gently wiggle from side to side.

Letting the weight of your lower body be distributed evenly on the ground or the chair below you.

And allow your eyes to close and invite a sense of calm to wash over you.

And take a few moments to feel the sensation of your body simply being without needing to do anything or be anywhere else.

Just allow yourself to be still,

Letting any thoughts or feelings come and go as they please.

And as we begin to turn inwards,

Take a few deep breaths in and out.

Allowing any tightness in your chest or shoulders to soften with each exhale.

And become aware of the sensation of your breath passing through your body as it ebbs and flows with ease.

And bring this breath now into each area of your body,

Nourishing every cell from head to toe.

And pay attention to the places where your body is making contact with the chair or the floor below you.

And just notice if you feel sturdy or supported.

And see if you can bring on a feeling of being rooted to the ground.

And with this sensation of being rooted,

Just begin to imagine that you're sitting in a grassy field with tall waving grass,

Bright sunshine,

And sweet smelling blooms all around.

And gaze up at the endless blue sky dotted with perfectly plump white puffy clouds.

And simultaneously feel deeply rooted into the earth.

Enjoy the crisp air all around you for a few moments,

Feeling into its freshness.

And take a few deep breaths here,

Letting go on each exhale and grounding yourself even deeper.

And feel the earth holding you in its wisdom and love.

And allow yourself to connect with the coolness of the earth below you,

Feeling its strength as it easily supports your weight.

And take a few deep breaths and imagine that with each exhale,

You're letting go a little more and sinking further into the ground below you.

And sense how this connection brings a sense of security to your body,

Creating space for stillness within.

And as you relax further,

Give even more of your body's weight to the ground below you.

Imagine a strong connection forming between your body and the earth,

So strong that roots start to descend from your lower body into the soil beneath.

And feel yourself becoming rooted and stabilized by this anchor,

Feeling its pull on your entire body.

And moving your awareness now to the top of your head,

Feel the tiny air particles that float all around you,

And sense how they lightly touch your head,

Your face,

And your neck.

And feel the lightness of the air as it floats between each of your eyebrow hairs,

As it criss-crosses through the eyelashes.

And feel how the air dances through the pores of your skin,

And the tingling sensation as it vents out each of your hair follicles.

And bring your awareness back to the lower part of your body,

Feeling your connection with the earth below you.

And trace along the roots that anchor you in place,

And find the coolness and stillness deep within the earth.

And plant your attention here,

And simply observe your breath as it moves through each part of your body.

And following the movement of your breath still,

Start to observe the rise and fall of your belly as the air enters and exits.

And riding the rhythm of the breath,

Bring your attention back down to the roots that ground you below.

And imagine that on the inhale,

You are drawing energy up from the earth.

And again,

On the inhale,

Watch the energy rise up through the pelvis,

And lower back,

And land in your belly,

And let it go.

And again,

Draw the energy up through the roots that tether you to the ground on the inhale.

And watch the energy flow upwards from the earth,

Traveling past the pelvis and lower back,

And landing in your belly,

And let it go.

We're going to now extend the energy by sending it further upwards on the exhale.

And as you exhale,

Allow the energy to move upwards past your abdomen and lungs,

Until it finally reaches the nostrils and is released from your body.

Draw energy up from the earth on your inhale,

And feel it land in your belly.

And on the exhale,

Move this energy upwards,

Past the solar plexus,

The lungs and throat,

And out of your nose.

And again,

Drawing energy up on the inhale,

Move it further up and out on the exhale.

And just watch this movement,

And take a moment to feel the connection between the ground below and the air that surrounds you.

Allow this flow of breath to cycle through you,

Connecting you to the ground below and the sky above.

And feel your breath connecting the roots of the earth with the particles of air in the atmosphere.

And let yourself be an open channel for these energies to flow through,

Bringing with them messages of love,

Gratitude,

And hope.

Simply allow yourself to be the bridge between the two elements,

Earth and air.

And as you breathe in and out,

Feel yourself being breathed by the universe itself,

A gift from earth to air.

And let your attention drift away from the energy that flows between earth and air now,

And come back to the physical sensations of breathing.

And feel the temperature of the air as it enters through the nostrils.

And notice how that temperature changes when the air leaves.

And visualize tiny particles of clean air moving into your throat,

And down your lungs,

And settling into your belly.

And just watch as the air travels back out into the atmosphere.

And take a few moments to flow with the energy of the breath in this way.

And feel the energy of the air as it's pulled into the nose,

Traveling past the lungs and down into the belly.

And on each exhale,

Imagine this energy continuing down further,

Connecting with the roots that you have planted into the earth.

And again,

Inhale the clean particles of air into your lungs,

Feeling them flow down and fill your belly.

And savor this sensation before you exhale,

Sending that energy downwards towards your lower body,

And out through the roots in the earth.

And with each breath,

Feel the energy as it travels from air to earth.

Feel the power of this transfer as the energy flows from your nose and lungs down into the belly,

And further still out into the earth,

Through the roots you have planted.

As you breathe,

Remain mindful of this connection between yourself and Mother Nature.

You are the bridge allowing air and earth to communicate with one another.

Feel your breath as it carries energy,

Compassion,

And respect between the two realms.

As you inhale and exhale,

Let yourself become aware of this special connection with nature.

And feel the power of your breath as it continues to bring messages of compassion and respect from one realm to another.

And as you inhale,

Allow the air to whisper its secrets into your lungs,

So that you may transfer that energy.

On each exhale,

Send those same whispers downwards and outwards into the earth,

Allowing them to be heard by her gentle embrace.

And through this exchange of energy between air and earth,

You become a conduit for messages of gratitude,

Humility,

And love.

Allow yourself to be breathed through this special connection.

And bring your attention back to the body,

Placing focus on your nostrils.

And sense the coolness of the air as it enters the nose,

And the warmth of the air as it exits.

And begin to feel the weight of your body.

Pay special attention to the parts of your body that are making contact with the chair or the floor below you.

And invite some gentle movements into your fingers,

Into your toes.

And imagine the room that you're in,

The colors that surround you,

And where the furniture is placed.

And when you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes and welcome yourself back.

And thank you so much for meditating with me today.
